The second of eight flights of the TMT 18 Main Event came to a thrilling close as 502 entries packed today’s Day 1B Turbo heat. After nearly ten hours of intense, fast-paced action, only 41 players emerged with bags in hand, securing their spots into Day 2.


South Korea’s Jun Beum Chun topped the field, sealing the final knockout in the very last hand of the night to close out the day. Chun bagged a towering 1,013,000 (51 BB) stack, nearly on par with Day 1A chip leader Zeng Chen Win. At quite a distance were Taiwan’s Cheng You Yao with 719,000 (36 BB) and Huang Teng I with 668,000 (33 BB), both locking in commanding performances to close among the top three.


Also advancing was past champion Chiayun Wu, who navigated the turbo format with poise to end the day with a solid 421,000 (21 BB).


All Day 1B qualifiers will return for Day 2 on Sunday, July 27, where they’ll join survivors from all other starting flights in the next leg of the NTD 31 million (~USD 1M) guaranteed Main Event. Stay tuned as SMP continues to bring you all the latest action straight from the floor!

The wait is over, Main Event day is finally here! After a week of nonstop action and record-breaking numbers, the spotlight now turns to the centerpiece of the Taiwan Millions Tournament 18. Kicking off today at Red Space, the NTD 31 million (~USD 1M) guaranteed Main Event is expected to draw a massive crowd, with players from across the region already filing in, each with a dream and NTD 9,000 (~USD 300) buy-in at the ready. With 100 tables prepped and buzzing, expectations are sky-high for another historic chapter in TMT history!


With Day 1A on course, today's schedule offers a second flight - Day 1B Turbo, for those eyeing another chance to qualify ahead of the pack. Each entry buys players a 25,000 starting stack, equivalent to 125 big blinds at the opening level, or around 20 big blinds for those taking advantage of max late reg.
