Day 1A chip leader Zheng Xuan Cai had an intense journey filled with ups and downs. His journey to accumulate a massive stack of 884,000 [147 BB] began when he knocked out Gary Ma with top pair over a missed draw. To end the day, Zheng delivered the bubble, eliminating Jui Tai with a higher kicker.

Coming in second in chips was Taiwan’s Jun Zhong Wang with 526,000 [87BB]. In third was Jee Weon Kim of Korea with 477,000 [79BB] . Other notable players moving on to Day 2 were Philippines David Erquiaga, Germany’s Carsten Klug, and Wu Chiayun.

Tse Chi Ho completed his big blind vs Yuhsiu Chou's utg open and headed to flop 2♥ Q♥ 2♣ . Both checked it through to turn 6♣ , where Tse led for 3,500. Chou bumped it up to 8,000, and bet a final 10,000 on river T♣ . Tse called both streets and shipped the pot with a flush J♣ 3♣ , sending Chou's A♠ A♣ towards the muck.
