TMT 17 NLH Master Day1A concluded with Zheng Xuan Cai taking the chip lead heading into Day2. With a total of 231 entries, the flight ran through 14 levels before the bubble burst. Out of the total number of entries, 35 players made it into Day 2 taking place 2 Wednesday, 15 January at 11:00.

Day 1A chip leader Zheng Xuan Cai had an intense journey filled with ups and downs. His journey to accumulate a massive stack of 884,000 [147 BB] began when he knocked out Gary Ma with top pair over a missed draw. To end the day, Zheng delivered the bubble, eliminating Jui Tai with a higher kicker.

Coming in second in chips was Taiwan’s Jun Zhong Wang with 526,000 [87BB]. In third was Jee Weon Kim of Korea with 477,000 [79BB] . Other notable players moving on to Day 2 were Philippines David Erquiaga, Germany’s Carsten Klug, and Wu Chiayun.

Kruezi bets 10,000 and BB check-folds while Klug check-raise 35,000. Kruezi call and the river brings A♣ .Klug checks while Kruezi bets 45,000. Klug calls and the players enter into showdown. Klug had K♦ Q♦ while Kruezi had T♦ T♣ . Klug hits diamonds flush and snatches the pot from Kruezi.

Weilin Tsai opened utg and saw both players on the blinds come along on flop 6♣ 9♦ 2♥ . Checked to Tsai, he continued for 10,000, called by the small blind. Denny Kruezi on the big blind, raised to 21,000, and saw only Tsai stick around onto turn T♦ . Kruezi fired another 20,000, followed with an all-in on river 5♦ . Tsai tank folded the final bet, shipping Kruezi the win.

Woojin Kang opened to 2,000 utg, joined by Denny Kruezi behind onto flop 2♥ 7♥ T♦ . Kang continued for 1,500, and pulled another 2,600 on turn 9♦ . Kruezi this time, raised to 7,000 and followed with a final bet of 25,000 on river K♠ . Kang eventually surrendered, opting to save his last fifteen big blinds.
