China's Xixiang Luo has been crowned Red Dragon Prestige High Roller Champion at RDPT Plus Jeju 2026, claiming the iconic Red Dragon Trophy and KRW 276,483,300 (~USD 186,145) after topping a 157-entry field. It was a dominant final day performance from the Chinese pro, who controlled the chip lead for much of the session and found the deck firmly on his side throughout, eliminating multiple players on his way to the title.
Runner-up John Perry put in a remarkable performance of his own, leading the 12 returning players overnight and battling all the way to heads-up before running ace-king into Luo's ace-eight, only to see an eight in the window seal his fate. Third place went to American veteran Christian Harder, who returned as the second overnight chip leader and was a consistent presence throughout, ultimately falling victim to another Luo river when a nine completed a straight to end his deep run.

Twelve players returned for the final day, with Perry (6,325,000) and Harder (6,100,000) leading the pack ahead of Patrik Demus (5,900,000). Several big names sat further back, including Ranno Sootla (4,475,000), Martin Nielsen (3,230,000), and Renji Mao (2,625,000), all with plenty of work to do.
The early action set the tone quickly. In a three-way confrontation, Demus turned a set of fives in a bloated pot against Perry's two pair, firing a 1,700,000 river bet that Perry snap-called, only to be shown the bad news. Demus surged to around 10,000,000 and briefly took the chip lead, looking every bit a contender for the title.
With Nielsen at risk on the final table bubble, Luo's pocket queens had him drawing to just two outs with pocket jacks. The river sealed Nielsen's exit in 10th place, and the final nine took their seats.
John Perry (2nd) & Patrik Demus (7th)Luo wasted no time making his presence felt at the final table. First, Zhuzhai Wang three-bet jammed pocket fours only to run into Luo's pocket sixes, finding no help on a dry runout to exit in 9th. In the first hand back after the break, Peng Deng four-bet jammed ace-ten into Luo's pocket nines, flopped nothing on the eight-high board, and was sent to the rail in 8th as Luo's stack continued to grow.
Demus, who had looked a genuine threat for much of the day, ran into Nguyen Le's pocket queens in a five-bet pot, his ace-eight finding a pair on the flop but nothing more on the runout. He departed in 7th, a tough exit after a strong performance throughout the festival. Xue Song followed in 6th, effectively all-in with pocket jacks only to be shown two pair by Luo, who had flopped kings and sevens. No jack arrived on the river, and Song headed to the rail.
Ranno Sootla (5th)Sootla's final table story deserves its own mention. The Estonian spent the vast majority of the session as one of the shorter stacks, doubling up multiple times to survive, including a key hand where he faded a flush draw to hold with pocket tens and another where he hit a king on the turn to survive against ace-ten. He laddered impressively from around 8th place all the way to 5th, before eventually getting the last of his 900,000 in with ten-seven against Luo's six-four, a flopped pair of sixes holding on a nine-high board to end his gutsy run.
Le, who had been a consistent presence through the money, fell in 4th when his jack-nine ran into Perry's queen-ten, the flop pairing Perry's queen with no salvation arriving for Le on the runout. Harder's exit was perhaps the cruellest of the day; comfortably ahead with king-jack against Luo's queen-nine on an ace-ten-four flop, only for the nine on the river to give Luo a pair and send the American to the rail in 3rd. The deck had clearly decided who it favoured today.
Heads UpLuo took a commanding chip lead into heads-up against Perry, and the Australian gave it everything he had. In the first couple of hands of heads-up play, Perry seemed to be gaining momentum, slowly but surely. However, in the deciding hand, Perry three-bet to 4,500,000 and snap-called Luo's jam with ace-king against ace-eight. Perry was poised for the double, but an eight in the window changed everything, and the runout brought no king to save Perry, ending his impressive run in 2nd place.

Ranno SootlaAfter slipping back to just a couple of big blinds, Ranno Sootla got the last of his 900,000 stack in from the small blind and big blind Xixiang Luo put in the extra 500,000 to call.
Ranno Sootla: T♦ 7♥
Xixiang Luo: 6♠ 4♥
A cruel flop for Sootla as the dealer fanned 6♥ 5♦ 9♠, giving Luo a pair of sixes and leaving Sootla needing to pair one of his overs or find an eight for a straight. The K♦ turn and 9♥ river were neither, officially ending the Estonian's run in 5th place.
It was a gutsy performance from Sootla, who spent much of the final table as the shortest stack before successfully laddering from around 8th place to 5th. A commendable effort, even if the podium ultimately remained out of reach.

John PerryThe Red Dragon Prestige High Roller is down to its final 12 players at RDPT Plus Jeju, with today's session playing all the way down to a winner. A KRW 276,483,000 (~USD 199,627) top prize awaits, from a total prize pool of KRW 1,115,733,000 (~USD 751,500).
Leading the charge is Australia's John Perry with 6,325,000, narrowly ahead of American veteran Christian Harder (6,100,000) and Hungary's Patrik Demus (5,900,000), who arrives fresh off his EPT Paris Main Event victory earlier this year. Further back, Xixiang Luo (4,575,000), Ranno Sootla (4,475,000), and Nguyen Le (4,400,000) all return with healthy stacks, whilst Martin Nielsen (3,230,000), Zhuzhai Wang (2,900,000), and Renji Mao (2,625,000) round out a formidable field.
Yesterday's key moments included Mao eliminating two players in quick succession early in the day, Tony Lin's brief but colourful appearance at the tables, and a gruelling two-hour hand-for-hand bubble that ended when Aaron Lim ran ace-jack into Sootla's pocket queens. Perry closed the night in style, making a hero call against Yuzhu Wang to scoop a monster pot and bag the overnight chip lead.
