Liang Dong opened to 5,000 from under the gun, and Nevan Chang called on the button. Defeng Chen then moved all in from the small blind for 27,500. Dong then four-bet to 105,000, prompting a fold from Chang, leaving Chen at risk against Dong.

Dong started well with ace-high and stayed in control on the 8♥ 2♠ Q♥ flop. The K♣ landed on the turn, leaving Chen still needing a ten for his survival.

Time Bank Confusion Saves Choong's Stack

Yita Choong opened the button to 5,500, and Konstantin Held defended his big blind.

Held checked on the 9♦ 5♥ 9♥ flop to Choong, who continued with a 3,500 bet. Held then check-raised to 16,500, and Choong stuck around.

The K♣ turn saw Held make a chunky bet of 42,000 after using a time bank card, and Choong called.

When the river showed a T♠, Held shoved all in for 264,000, sending Choong into the tank.

Choong tossed in his third time bank card, but Held mistook it for a fold and tabled his full house with T♦ 9♠.

After the floor’s ruling, Choong’s fold was considered effective.

“You sure you don’t want to call?” joked Ranno Sootla, drawing laughter from around the table.

Siren Song for Peng

Chuyuan Peng opened to 4,500 from middle position before facing a 16,000 three-bet from button Xue Song. Peng came back with a four-bet to 45,000 and Song made the call, building a hefty pot before a card was even dealt.

The flop came 6♠ K♥ 4♣. Peng led for 27,000 and Song called. The A♥ turn brought more of the same; Peng fired 47,000 and Song called again.

The A♣ completed the board and there was already close to a starting stack in the middle. Peng used a timebank before betting 67,000. Song tanked with a timebank of his own before raising to 177,000, sending Peng deep into the tank. After multiple timebanks and a long count of his stack, he made the call.

Song tabled 6♥ 6♦ for a flopped set of sixes that improved to a full house on the river. Peng turned over A♦ J♣, having rivered trips but run straight into the boat. He was left with around 30,000 behind.

Red Dragon Prestige High Roller Kicks Off in Jeju

Riding the intense momentum from the Dragon's Gate High Roller, another major event, the Red Dragon Prestige High Roller, kicks off today at RDPT PLUS 2026, giving high-stakes players another chance to compete for High Roller glory.

Last year, Taiwan’s female pro Meng Ling Lin claimed the title after outlasting a 232-entry field. The turnout generated a KRW 1,228,719,000 (~$838,075) prize pool. After a grueling 19-hour play of the day, Lin defeated Christopher Park of the United States in the final heads-up match, taking home the KRW 282,069,000 (~$192,390) top prize and lifting the final trophy at the Jeju Poker Festival.

Continuing Lin’s legacy, RDPT will see a new champion crowned in 2026 as Day 1 begins at 15:00 local time. Players will compete in 40-minute levels with a 300,000 starting stack. Late registration remains open until the end of Level 14 on Day 2, giving poker elites plenty of time to join the prestigious event.

Blinds start at 500/1,000 and a 1,000 big blind ante. A 15-minute break is scheduled after every three levels (2 hours) to allow players to rest and reset.

Each player will receive ten Time Bank cards until the end of Level 1. The number of Time Bank cards will be reduced by one at each level until Level 6, where it will be capped at five cards. The shot clock and each Time Bank will allow 30 seconds.
