Ding led out for 20,000 on the 2♥ T♥ Q♥ flop, and Yu stuck around to see the 6♣ on the turn, where Ding fired another barrel of 60,000. Yu called.

The 9♣ river saw Ding fire 150,000, leaving just 10,000 chips behind. Yu went deep into the tank before eventually letting go of his cards.

Plant Bounces Back

Xue Song opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and small blind Ryan Plant called.

Plant check-raised Song's 40,000 continuation-bet to 160,000 on the 4♥ 3♥ 7♦ flop, and Song came along.

On the 4♠ turn, Plant led for a hefty 300,000 and Song called again.

The K♣ completed the board and Plant checked, prompting Song to move all in swiftly, resulting in an equally quick fold from Plant.

In a hand shortly after, Plant shoved his remaining 585,000 and Hugues Girard called it off. Plant's pocket queens held against Girard's ace-queen, leaving the French pro with just 35,000 and providing some much-needed cushioning to Plant's stack. Shortly after, Girard was seen leaving the High Roller tournament area.

Yuzhu Wang came back for his second bullet soon after being eliminated by William Jia; however, his run ended again, this time at the hands of Patrik Demus.

Wang made it 25,000 to go from the cutoff and Demus three-bet from the small blind to 85,000. Wang stuck around.

Lady Gaga Strikes With Quick Double-Up

At the beginning of Level 14, a renowned name joined the field of the Red Dragon Prestige High Roller Day 2, well known by his nickname “Lady Gaga,” Tony Lin.

On just his second hand after joining the battlefield, he managed a double-up through chip leader Ke Hu.

Xixiang Luo opened the hijack to 24,000 and Hu three-bet the cutoff to 80,000, only to face a four-bet shove from Lin for 276,000 in the small blind. Luo stepped aside and Hu dropped in the call.

Lin started well with ace-high against Hu's king-high and stayed in control on the 6♣ 4♦ J♠ flop. The dealer then revealed a board-pairing J♦ on the turn, leaving Hu still needing a king or a queen to take down the heavy name.

Luck stayed with Lady Gaga as the deck delivered a 5♠ on the river, forcing Hu to part with chips for Lin’s double-up.

Hu continued for 30,000 on the 6♣ Q♣ 8♥ flop and Held stuck around to see the 4♠ turn, where Hu sent another barrel of 105,000. Held made the call.

When a 2♠ hit the river, Hu shoved all in with his covering stack for around 1,240,000. Held thought for a few seconds before calling off his chips for around 180,000.

Held flipped over 5♣ 4♣ for a turned pair of fours, but it was cracked by Hu’s flopped two pair with 8♠ 6♠. Held walked out of the field.

Day 2 of the Red Dragon Prestige High Roller is underway at 13:00 local time RDPT Plus Jeju, with the surviving field returning to play down to a final table today. Registration remains open until Level 14, so the field is not yet fully set — but with a prize pool already sitting at KRW 805,240,800 (~USD 542,227), there is plenty to play for.

Leading the returning field is China's Ke Hu, who bags in with 1,388,000 ahead of Great Britain's Yiqian Song (1,331,000) and China's Li Yu (1,213,000). Further down the counts, Joseph Cheong (880,000), Dylan Foster (712,000), and Renji Mao (711,000) all return in solid shape, whilst Patrik Demus (569,000) looks to add to an already impressive few weeks on the tournament circuit following his EPT Paris Main Event victory.

Defending his title from yesterday's Dragon's Gate High Roller, Jianting Cai returns with 292,000, and fellow finalist Ivan Karatayeu bags in short with 168,000, though as he demonstrated in the Dragon's Gate High Roller, stack size means little when the cards are falling your way.
