The KRW 880,000,000 (~USD 637,780) guaranteed prize pool was broken at the start of level 6 today and grew to a total of KRW 1,015,015,950 (~$741,139) right now and two more opening flights in the wings tomorrow.

Horace Leung came out on top with a late charge bullying his table during both the money and Day 2 cutoff bubble that resulted in a 595,000 stack while we were looking for eliminations.

Second in chips Fangwei Zuo on the other hand was out for blood, starting with the elimination of Weiwei Huang that had him reseated as the table chip leader after that and continued with the knockout of Jo Seng Mok with aces against Mok's ace-queen and later ended the day by sending Zhiqiang Meng to the rail as the Day 2 cutoff bubble with A♣ 6♣ against Meng's A♥ 5♣ and the board running 9♣ 9♥ 4♠ 3♣ T♥ to keep the kickers in play. He bagged 582,000.

Po Lam Lun

Po Lam Lun was not far away in third, constantly chipping up in the end that got him from 285,000 in level 16 to 550,000 at the end of the day in level 17.

All of them are currently in the top 10 for Day 2, but two more opening flights tomorrow might change that.

The Korea Poker Cup Main Event Flight D Starts At 12:00 Local

The second stand alone Korea Poker Cup series taking place at the Landing Casino inside the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World Resort will be headlined by the Main Event featuring an increased KRW 880,000,000 (~USD 637,780) guaranteed prize pool that will certainly be broken again, considering the Mystery Bounty entries on Day 1 that crushed last KPC's field by quite some margin.

Day 1D is the fourth of six starting flights costing KRW 1,300,000 (~US$ 946) to enter, adding another tranche of contenders to the 80 out of 625 entries that already bagged their chips for Day 2 in the previous three flights.

Once at the tables, players start with a stack of 30,000 which is a deep 150 times the opening blinds with 40 minute intervals, and late registration stays open until the end of Level 9 at around 19:30.

Cards start flying at 12:00 and SMP will be onsite to provide live updates from start to finish.
