Today's Korea Poker Cup Main Event action has officially closed with the final eight players set following a quick five hour battle across the felt. Taiwan's Cheng Yen Lo has since reclaimed the top spot with a 4,130,000 (103 BB) stack to lead the Final Day games, followed by Netherlands' Joris Michl at approximately a million behind. Michl claimed a boost off of day chip leader Wei Chen Lin right at the final table, having caught Lin with a bluff. Luckily, Lin recovered just as the day closed after delivering Xiaohui Wang's elimination in 9th place to end with 2,900,000 (73 BB), and round up the top three spots.

Each runner is now guaranteed KRW 20,700,000 (~USD 14,860) in winnings, with the KRW 190,000,000 (~USD 136,410) in near sight. Action resumes tomorrow, November 26th, 12 noon, where one of the eight will rise to victory.

Facing an open and a call, Xiaohui Wang moved all-in on the button for his last 725,000, and found Wei Chen Lin behind push likewise. All other players folded, leaving the two to run board 9♦ 5♥ 7♣ 3♦ 4♠ . No help arrived for Wang, busting him out to signal the day's close.

Xiaohui Wang on the small blind, opened to 110,000, and called Jianwei Lin's 595,000 all-in right behind. Ahead, Lin secured the double as board J♥ 8♦ T♦ 4♦ T♥ missed to pair up either player, leaving his ace-high good for the pot.

Wei Chen Lin defended his big blind against Joris Michl's open, and check called a 50,000 cbet on flop T♥ 4♣ 3♠ . Both checked turn J♦ through to river T♣ , where Lin led 130,000. Michl put in a raise to 375,000, and called down Lin as he pulled 950,000 back. Lin caught with a bluff Q♥ 9♥ , shipped the pot to Michl for his trip tens K♦ T♠ .

One more bust to go before Day 3 wraps up with the final eight players set to advance to the Final Day. Taiwan's Cheng Yen Lo has since taken the lead with a chip count of 4,100,000, followed by day chip leader Wei Chen Lin, 27 big blinds behind.

Chip Counts

On the feature table, Jianwei Lin fired a 220,000 three bet from the small blind against a late position and a call, and found initial raiser Chen An Lin shoving all-in for 975,000 total. Jianwei Lin snap called with a monster pair, dominating Chen An Lin all the way through board Q♦ 9♠ J♥ Q♥ A♠ . Chen An Lin exits just shy of the final table in 10th place.

Cheng Bo open shoved 525,000 right on the button and was looked up by Wei Chen Lin on the blinds. In for a crucial race, Cheng bid his Main Event dreams goodbye as board Q♥ 6♣ 6♠ 9♠ 3♣ ran Lin a better two pair for the win.

Yi Ma opened 200,000 utg, and called for his last 5,000 chip following an all-in from Wei Chen Lin on the big blind. A huge favorite, Ma secured the double up as board 7♥ J♥ 2♠ 6♣ 9♦ left him with a better king-high.

Another bust was seen on the feature table, with Cheng Lo taking up the challenge for Yongbin Wang's 370,000 stack. In for a flip, board 6♠ 9♣ 9♦ 7♦ 8♠ felted none of Wang's overcards, leaving him to exit just minutes before the break.

Up against an open and a three bet, Valery Li shoved on the big blind for 375,000 total and was looked up by Jianfeng Sun. A classic flip, board K♥ J♠ J♦ 3♥ 7♦ quickly landed in favor of the overcards, sending Li's ladies flying towards the muck.

On the feature table, Jianwei Lin opened utg and called off Jiang Pu's 350,000 jam, putting the latter at risk. Pu dominated, managed to outflop Lin on A♥ Q♣ 9♣ , yet fell shortly as the runout 3♣ Q♦ shipped Lin the win with a better two pair.

Joris Michl fired a 120,000 three bet against Yi Ma's cutoff open, and saw the latter continue to flop K♥ ts 5♦ . Michl gunned 60,000, enough to push Ma out of the pot.

Wei Chen Lin sent out a 130,000 three bet against Xiaohui Wang's utg open, and picked up the pot uncontested. Lin remains to lead the pack, having just cracked the 3 million mark.

Yi Ma defended his big blind vs Cheng Bo's 70,000 button open, revealing flop A♥ T♥ 7♠ . Action checked through to turn J♠ , where Cheng fired 85,000. Ma check called to river Q♦ , and arrived at showdown after Cheng checked it back. Ma revealed top pair A♠ 5♠ , no good against Cheng's set 7♦ 7♣ .

Suwei Yang lodged a 150,000 three bet from the small blind against a late position open and a call, and found Wei Chen Lin on the button, call to see flop Q♣ 9♥ 5♦ . Yang check raised to 300,000, which didn't deter Lin from continuing to turn T♦ . Both checked it through to river 8♦ , where Yang pulled the trigger, tank shoving his last 645,000. Lin used up two time banks, and eventually hero called with bottom pair 4♠ 5♣ . Yang's bluff A♥ K♠ gets exposed, sending him out in brutal fashion.

Xiaohui Wang sent out a 125,000 three bet against an early open and saw Wei Chen Lin behind cold call, revealing flop 8♣ 4♣ J♠ . Wang continued for 100,000, check called by Lin. Turn K♣ was checked by both, prompting Lin to lead 200,000 on river 9♥ . Wang gave it up and folded.

Rong Long flicked in his last 105,000, and was called by both Xiaohui Wang and Wei Chen Lin on the bllinds. On flop 2♠ 8♣ 5♦ , Wang led 150,000 for the side pot, and tank called off his remaining 210,000 after Lin moved all-in.

Lin ahead of the two, instead booked the loss as turn 3♠ and river 4♠ landed Wang a runner runner straight to take it down, while Long exited in 17th place.

An all-in preflop situation ensued with Cheng Bo at risk for his last 340,000 against Rong Long on the small blind. A favorite to win, Cheng did just so as board 5♥ 7♥ 2♣ Q♣ 4♦ steered clear of any aces.

Facing an open and a call, Yi Ma on the big blind, fired a 150,000 three bet, and was called by Cheng Yen Lo on the button. Ma continued for 100,000 on flop K♠ 9♦ 6♣ , and followed with another 130,000 on turn 7♣ . Lo raised all-in by the second bet, and ushered a fold from his opponent shortly after, for the pot.

Zhang Zhi went with Q♠ 7♠ for his last 155,000, and faced Rong Long's premium A♣ K♥ behind. Whilst still a race, Zhang missed to connect with board 2♥ 6♥ T♦ 5♠ A♠ , cutting his Main Event run short.

Suwei Yang opened utg and called off Zihao Wang's 160,000 all-in a seat after. Slightly behind, Yang caught up quickly having flopped top pair on board K♠ Q♣ J♣ 8♥ Q♠ , to shortly deliver the bust.

Chip leader Wei Chen Lin has managed to scoop three blind steals in a row, the last one being off of Zhang Zhi, having fired a 120,000 three bet against his button open. Zhang tank folded, saving his 8 BB behind.

Following the loss, Gao Lei shoved his last 130,000 in and was called by Joris Michl behind for a flip. Lei quickly landed the advantage on flop A♥ 9♣ 2♥ , but was again left drawing dead as the turn hit 4♦ to knock him out.

Dongli Shen defended his big blind vs Gao Lei's hijack open, and went on to lead all-in for 155,000 on flop T♦ 8♦ 4♣ . Lei called with top pair T♠ 9♠ , and was up against Shen's flush draw K♦ 7♦ . Turn Q♦ immediately brought a third diamond, sealing the win for Shen.
