The first opening flight of the KRW 3,500,000 “WePoker” Dragon Egg Mystery Bounty has officially entered the books at LES A Casino (formerly Landing Casino) after nearly seven hours of play today.

Drawing a field of 144 entries, Day 1A captured plenty of bounty hunters’ attention as they braved the minefield for a shot at the mysterious rewards. By the end of the night, only 36 hunters managed to bag their chips, each securing a seat into Day 2.

Leading the charge is Vietnam’s Bien Mai, who closed Day 1A with the chip lead, bagging a towering 329,000 stack. During the penultimate level, Mai collected a key elimination against Tingjia Cao of China in a classic cooler: holding pocket aces to crack Cao’s pocket queens after Cao’s four-bet shove. The elimination added more ammunition to Mai’s arsenal, putting him in a highly advantageous position heading into Day 2.

Hot on Mai’s heels is China’s Jinhua Li, sitting firmly in second place on the leaderboard with an impressive 306,500 in chips. Mai and Li were the only players to surpass the three-hundred-thousand mark at the end of the day, eagerly awaiting fresh challengers in tomorrow’s action. Rounding out the top three is Li’s fellow countryman, Qun Dang, who also built a healthy stack of 225,000.

Other notable heavy hitters remain in the mix, including the pros with over a million in total live earnings: Nevan Chang (151,000), Dylan Wayne Foster (116,000), and one bracelet winner Jin Long Hu (126,000). These accomplished players are well-positioned to make their presence felt as the action continues into Day 2, adding even more intrigue to the leaderboard battle.

Day 1A of the “WePoker” Dragon Egg Mystery Bounty has wrapped up! Don’t go anywhere — a full recap of the day’s action is on the way.

With the field whittled down to just 37 players, the tournament entered stone bubble time, and the floor announced that hand-for-hand play had begun.

Haiwei Liang opened to 8,000 from the button, and Meng Dian Peng called from the small blind. Chao Ting Cheng then shoved all in for 31,000 from the big blind. Liang tanked for nearly three minutes before releasing his hand, while Peng made the call to put Cheng at risk.

Chao Ting Cheng: A♦ 7♥

Cheng held the lead with ace-high, but Peng quickly surged ahead on the 5♠ Q♠ 4♥ flop after pairing his queen.

The 8♣ turn offered no help to Cheng, leaving him needing an ace to survive. The river 9♦ sealed his fate, bursting the bubble and sending Cheng out as the Day 2 Bubble Boy.

Fortunately, there’s still another chance for redemption: the door to Day 1B remains wide open for him tomorrow.

Meng Dian Peng opened to 4,000 from under the gun, and found two callers: Fabian Rolli from middle position and Guancheng Wu on the button.

On the 7♦ 4♣ K♠ flop, Peng continued for 6,000, with both Rolli and Wu making the call.

The 6♣ turn was checked to Wu, who fired 22,000. Both opponents called to see the river.

When the 3♥ completed the board, Peng and Rolli checked once more. Wu then moved all in for 80,000. Peng quickly folded, while Rolli went deep into the tank for nearly three minutes before eventually laying it down.

Wu flashed a K♥ before tossing his cards back to the dealer.

Patrik Demus opened to 4,000 from under the gun, and Bien Mai three-bet to 12,000 from early position. Tingjia Cao then moved all in for 55,500, prompting Demus to fold. Mai made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Cao’s pocket queens were in rough shape against Mai’s pocket aces and found no help on the K♦ 6♠ K♣ flop. The 8♦ turn changed nothing, leaving Cao drawing nearly dead.

The river 8♠ sealed the deal, and Mai scooped the pot, sending Cao out of the field.

Yuhang Liu raised the hijack to 3,000, and George Tomescu called from the small blind, as did Tianyu Chen in the big blind.

On the Q♥ K♣ 7♠ flop, the blinds checked to Liu, who continued with a 1,500 bet. Tomescu then cranked it up to 3,500, which Chen quickly folded. Liu made the call.

Both players checked through the 5♦ turn to the 4♦ river, where Tomescu shoved for 20,500, sending Liu into the tank. After mulling it over, Liu eventually let go of his cards.

Joshua McCully opened to 2,500 from the cutoff, and Qiao Heng defended his big blind.

Both players tapped the table down to the river on the T♣ 7♥ 4♣ 5♥ A♥ board, where Heng checked once more. McCully fired 6,500, putting Heng to the test. After a period of thought, Heng decided to fold, sending the pot McCully’s way.

In the next hand, Guoliang Wei raised to 3,000 from early position, and Baofeng Zhang three-bet to 8,500 from middle position. Hsing Hsung Tai then moved all in for 42,000, prompting a snap-fold from Wei. Zhang went deep into the tank before eventually releasing his hand as well.

Win Meng Tan limped in from middle position, and Qun Dang checked in the big blind.

On the J♣ 4♣ 7♠ flop, Dang checked to Tan, who led out for 2,000. Dang responded with a check-raise to 4,500, which earned an instant fold from Tan.

In the next hand, action picked up on the turn with roughly 22,000 chips already in the pot and the board showing 9♠ J♠ 6♣ Q♦ when Jun Li checked from the big blind. Pingfeng Wu fired a hefty 14,500 bet, and Li made the call.

When the board-pairing J♥ hit the river, Li moved all in for 16,500, and Wu reluctantly folded, relinquishing the pot.

Quan Zhang checked over from the small blind, as did Fabian Rolli in the big blind.

The duet tapped the table again on the A♠ 3♦ K♠ flop to see the 2♣ hit on the turn, where Zhang led out for 2,000 and Rolli dropped in the call.

It was another check round on the 8♦ river. Zhang revealed a flopped pair of kings with K♥ 5♦, while Rollie also tabled a pair of kings with K♦ T♥ and dragged in the pot.

Junyu Rao made it 3,000 to go from the small blind, and Guoliang Wei defended his big blind.

Rao continued with another 3,000 bet on the 5♦ 8♣ 2♣ flop, and Wei stuck around.

Both players then tapped the table through the 6♣ 9♣ runout and took it to free showdown.

Rao tabled his pair of tens with T♥ T♦, but it was not enough against Wei's rivered straight with A♠ 7♥.

Jun Li opened the button to 2,000 and was called by the blinds: Nan Qin and Chao Ting Cheng.

The blinds checked over the 8♣ A♣ 4♦ flop to Li, who continued for 2,500. Qin stuck around, and Cheng cranked it up to 8,000, which only Qin came along for the ride.

When the dealer turned a T♣, Qin sent a 2,000 bet, only to face a shove for 17,000 from Cheng. Qin snap-called to put his tablemate at risk.

Both players picked up a flush, but it was Cheng held the dominance with his jack, leaving Qin drawing dead before the river.

The J♥ river came as merely a formality, shipping the sizable pot Cheng's way and leaving Qin a 5,000 short stack.

In the very next hand, Qin shoved all in on the button for 5,000 and was put at risk by Kenji Hata from the big blind.

Nan Qin: A♦ 4♣

Qin started well ahead with ace-high and held control on the 2♠ K♣ 3♠ flop. However, the dealer delivered bad news to Qin with a Q♣ turn, hitting Hata's queen and leaving Qin drawing to an ace for his survival.

The 9♣ river sealed Qin's fate and sent him to the rail.

Hao Wu opened the cutoff to 2,000, and Xu Pan defended his big blind.

The two tapped the table throughout the T♠ 4♣ 5♣ 4♦ 8♣ board and took it to free showdown.

Pan tabled J♦ 6♥ for jack-high, but it was no match for Wu's flopped pair of tens with K♦ T♥.

In the following hand, Hayato Kitajima made it 2,000 to go from under the gun and Mingrui Cen called from middle position.

The duet checked through the 8♦ 5♠ T♥ 4♠ 8♥ board. Cen revealed A♥ J♥ for ace-high, but it was overtaken by Katajima's pair of sixes with 6♥ 6♦.

Haiwei Liang opened to 1,600 from under the gun, and Yuhang Liu defended his big blind.

On the 4♦ 5♥ Q♦ flop, Liu check-called Liang’s 2,000 continuation bet. Both players then checked the 6♣ turn.

The T♦ completed the board, and Liu led out for 2,400, which was enough to take down the pot.

With a few chips in the middle, Shangxing Qian shoved the button and was snap-called by Dylan Wayne Foster instantly from under the gun.

Foster started well ahead with pocket kings and maintained control on the 5♦ Q♠ 7♦ flop. The dealer revealed a board-pairing 7♠ on the turn, leaving Qian drawing dead before the river.

The J♣ river was a little needle for Qian, who had to walk out of the field.

Daniel Lei made it 1,200 to go from under the gun, and Qun Dang defended his big blind.

Dang check-called on the 3♣ Q♥ T♥ flop after Lei continued with a 11,000 bet.

The J♠ turn saw Dang keep his pace with another check-call, this time for 3,300 from Lei.

Action went check-check on the board-pairing J♦ river. Dang revealed A♣ 2♣ for ace-high, which was enough to take down the pot.

Joris Michl raised to 1,200 from middle position, and Gang Wang called on the button, as did Kei Tanaka from the big blind.

The trio tapped the table down to the river on the T♦ 6♠ J♦ T♣ 9♦ board, where it checked to Wang, who fired 3,800. It was good for the pot as his two opponents folded.

Ryuta Nakai raised to 3,500 from under the gun and received calls from the blinds: Dajie Zhuo and Haiwei Liang.

The trio tapped the table on the K♠ J♦ T♣ flop to see the 3♦ turn, where Zhuo led out for 6,000. Liang stepped aside, and Nakai stuck around.

The 2♠ filled out the board, and Zhuo immediately shoved for 18,000, drawing a snap-fold from Nakai.

Yita Choong raied to 1,200 from under the gun, and Bohong Yu three-bet to 3,600 from middle position. Choong then four-bet shoved for 20,500, which Yu instantly made the call to put his tablemate at risk.

Yu trailed with ace-high against Yu's pocket jacks but got improved to two pair on the K♣ 4♦ A♦ flop. The T♠ on the turn still left Yu needing a jack to avoid Choong’s double-up.

The luck was on Choong's side as the river brought a 7♥, locking up a double-up for Choong and leaving Yu short-stacked.

Chih Yuan Wang raised to 800 in the hijack, and Huu Dung Nguyen defended his big blind.

Nguyen check-called on the 3♠ 8♦ Q♠ flop after Wang continued with a 1,100 bet. Action then went check-check on the 9♦ turn.

Both players tapped the table again on the 4♠ river and took it to free showdown. Nguyen revealed a flopped pair of eights with A♦ 8♣, but it wasn't enough facing off against a turned pair of nines with 9♥ 5♥.

Quan Zhou opened to 800 from under the gun, and Liangqiang Pang called on the button, as did Daniel Lei from the big blind.

The trio checked it down to the river on the 8♥ A♥ 4♠ 7♦ T♥ board, where Lei checked once more, and Zhou fired 2,000, which was enough to take it down as both opponents folded.

Mingrui Cen limped in from the small blind, and Chih Yuan Wang checked over from the big blind.

Both players knuckled it back on the 2♦ 3♠ 9♣ flop to see the board-pairing 3♥ on the turn, where Cen led out for 300. Wang made the call.

Action went check-check on the 8♠. Cen tabled ace-high with A♥ 5♣, and it was good for the pot.

Wei Huang opened the hijack to 700 and picked up three callers: Chih Yuan Wang in the cutoff, Dylan Wayne Foster from the small blind, and Yuechun Shi from the big blind.

On the 4♠ 7♦ T♦ flop, action checked to Wang, who led out for 1,200. Foster called, and Shi cranked it up to 4,600. After a string of folds, action got back to Foster, who made the call.

Both players checked the 8♠ turn, bringing the 8♦ on the river to pair the board. Foster then fired 6,500, and Shi snap-called.

Foster tabled 9♥ 8♥ for rivered trip eights, claiming the pot as Shi mucked his hand.

Wei Huang opened to 600 from the hijack and got three callers: Chih Yuan Wang in the cutoff, Liangqiang Pang from the small blind, and Yayun Liu in the big blind.

On the A♠ 9♥ 2♣ flop, action checked to Huang, who continued for 800. Only Liu made the call.

The 5♦ landed on the turn, and Liu checked again. Huang fired another hefty barrel of 2,700, drawing a quick fold from Liu to claim the pot uncontested.

Chih Yuan Wang limped in from the small blind, and Liangqiang Pang raised to 700 from the big blind. Wang made the call.

Both players checked the A♦ 9♠ 3♠ flop, bringing the Q♠ on the turn. Wang checked once more, and Pang fired 600, which Wang called.

When a 2♥ rolled off on the river, Wang checked to Pang again, who loaded up another barrel of 2,500, prompting Wang to fold his hand. Pang scooped the pot without showdown.

With a KRW 1,000,000 bounty up for grabs, this event promises to be the perfect battlefield for bounty hunters to test their wits, guts, and skills.

The hunting games get underway at 12:00 local time, with all bounty hunters starting with a 30,000 stack and navigating nine 30-minute levels to secure a seat in Day 2.

A 15-minute break is scheduled after every three levels, giving players time to refuel for the journey ahead. The blinds kick off at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante.

Late registration remains open until the start of Level 10, giving players plenty of time to enter the minefield and try their luck at the bounty.
