The Red Dragon Prestige Super High Roller at the Jeju Poker Festival 2025 came to a thrilling conclusion inside LES A Casino (formerly Landing Casino), as Vietnam’s Khoa Anh Ngo etched his name into Red Dragon history by conquering a 195-entry field that generated an impressive KRW 1,721,207,000 (~USD 873,087) prize pool.

Ngo outlasted a star-studded lineup packed with poker elites boasting millions in total live earnings, including Punnat Punsri, Joseph Cheong, Dylan Wayne Foster, and Yita Choong, to capture the lion’s share of the prize pool. For his outstanding performance, the Vietnamese pro walked away with a KRW 426,157,000 (~USD 298,310) top prize and the glory of lifting one of the most coveted trophies on the JPF 2025 calendar, securing his place among the festival’s champions to be remembered for years to come.

Ngo unleashed a late-night surge, first chipping a hefty pot from Christopher Young Park, then eliminating Yaoyu He. By the time heads-up play began, Ngo held a commanding 5.8-to-1 chip lead over China’s Chengxu Hu, who ultimately had to settle for runner-up. Hu had been grinding his way to the top and even held the chip lead for much of the final stretch, but in the last two levels, he couldn’t halt his downward slide and eventually bowed out first in the final duel.

The player who left the field with the most heartbreak was China’s Xiangyu Yu, falling just one spot short of the money. Yu put his tournament life on the line with ace-eight against Malaysia’s Sean Ooi, holding ace-king. The board offered no salvation for Yu, sending him out with the most unwanted title of the day: Bubble Boy.

The first to fall to Ngo’s run at the Final Table was Yilu Yuan, who moved all-in with Ace-Four against Ngo’s pocket tens. Finding no help on the board, Yuan hit the rail in eighth place.

After eliminating Yuan, Ngo kept a low profile, patiently waiting for the right moment to strike again. That opportunity arrived when he clashed with Christopher Young Park, holding pocket fours against Park’s ace-nine. Ngo’s sailboats flopped a set, leaving Park drawing thin. In the end, Ngo wrapped up the hand in satisfying fashion as his set improved to a full house on the river, leaving Park down to just eight big blinds.

Yaoyu He was the last to fall to Ngo’s run. He moved all-in with king-high, only to run headfirst into Ngo’s pocket sixes. The board ran clean, sending He out in third place and adding more ammunition to Ngo’s stack heading into the final duel.

Facing his last opponent of the day, Ngo remained composed, skillfully leveraging his dominant stack to chip away at Chengxu Hu. A few hands later, Ngo shoved with jack-high, and Hu made the call holding pocket queens. Ngo paired his jack on the flop but still trailed, until another sick jack landed on the turn, giving him trip jacks to crack Hu’s queens and seal his eventual triumph.

The 2♦ river sealed Hu's fate and sent him to the rail for a payout of USD 192,640 as his effort of the day.

Chengxu Hu limped in on the button with J♥ 6♠, and Khoa Anh Ngo checked his option in the big blind holding Q♠ J♦.

The 5♠ Q♦ 6♦ flop came, improving Ngo to the top pair of queens, while Hu got a pair of sixes. Both players checked to the 8♠ turn, where Ngo led out for 2,000,000 and Hu called.

The Q♣ landed on the river, blooming Ngo's pair to trip queens, and he fired 7,000,000. After some thought, Hu made the call and paid for Ngo's trips.

Michael Seunghyun raised the cutoff to 1,675,000, leaving only 25,000 behind. Lei Yu then shoved all in for 3,700,000 from the small blind. Seunghyun called off his remaining 25,000.

Yaoyu He opened to 400,000, and cutoff Chi Ngong Tang three-bet to 2,100,000. He responded with a four-bet to 4,100,000, which Tang called.

The flop came 8♥ 4♥ J♠, and He fired 2,300,000. Tang quickly moved all in, and He called with the covering stack.

He had woken up with bullets, but Tang wasn’t dead in the water. The Q♥ K♥ on the turn and river gave Tang a king-high flush, delivering a brutal beat for He.

Hu check-called on the 4♦ 3♣ Q♥ flop after Wang continued for 200,000. The 2♥ landed on the turn, and both players checked.

A K♥ completed the board, and Hu fired a chunky bet of 3,000,000, successfully forcing Wang to fold.

Chi Ngong Tang made it 400,000 to go from middle position, and Yaoyu He called in the small blind.

UTG Abhijith Cheruku opened to 300,000 and found a caller in cutoff Peng Deng.

The flop came 2♣ 2♠ 5♠, and Cheruku fired a 125,000 continuation bet. Deng quickly folded, letting Cheruku take the pot.

In the next hand, Deng raised to 300,000 and was called by small blind Chengxu Hu. Cheruku in the big blind three-bet to 1,500,000, forcing both opponents to fold.

On the third hand, Deng raised again to 300,000 but folded to a three-bet shove from cutoff Yilu Yuan. Yuan showed ace-queen offsuit as he raked in the chips.

A short while after, Deng busted in 19th place.

Dylan Wayne Foster opened to 300,000 from under the gun, only to face a shove for roughly 3,200,000 from Chenxiang Miao in the hijack. Foster called for his remaining 1,475,000.

However, the luck was on Foster’s side as the river brought the J♥, hitting Miao’s jack, which changed nothing, securing Foster a crucial double-up.

On the stone bubble, Abhijith Cheruku moved all in from the hijack for 2,250,000 and was called by small blind Chi Ngong Tang, who had him covered:

The 7♥ 8♠ Q♣ flop went check-check, bringing the 6♣ on the turn. Tang led for 300,000, and Lim made the call.

Both players checked the T♥ river. Tang showed K♦ T♣ for a pair of tens, but Lim’s A♦ T♠ played with the better kicker to take it down.

Aaron Lim raised to 200,000 from middle position and called when Kei Tanaka three-bet shoved for 1,220,000 from the cutoff.

Youfan Zhang open-shoved on the button for 1,595,000, and Jian Cui called off his remaining 1,145,000 from the small blind, putting himself at risk.

Dylan Wayne Foster raised to 200,000 on the button, and Aaron Lim defended his big blind.

The duet then checked through the runout of 6♦ T♠ 6♥ 2♦ J♠ and took it to a free showdown.

Lim flipped over queen-high with Q♠ 9♦, while Foster also revealed queen-high with Q♣ 7♣, making it a chop pot.

Hijack Chi Ngong Tang opened to 170,000 and found a caller in small blind Yita Choong.

Both players checked the 4♣ 2♦ 7♣ flop, but when the K♣ appeared on the turn, Tang fired 255,000. Choong quickly folded, sending the pot Tang’s way.

In the following hand, cutoff Da Jie Zhuo raised to 160,000, only for button Qidong He to three-bet to 500,000.

The T♥ landed on the turn, and Zhuo checked again. He fired 800,000 this time, prompting Zhuo to move all in almost instantly. He went deep into the tank, using several time banks before finally letting his hand go.

When an 8♠ landed on the river, Cheruku fired another barrel of 250,000, forcing Punsri to fold.

Youfan Zhang opened to 150,000 from early position, and big blind Kei Tanaka three-bet to 550,000. Zhang made the call to see a flop.

The dealer spread A♦ 5♥ 3♦, and Tanaka instantly moved all in, nodding as he pushed his chips forward. Zhang quickly folded.

A couple of hands later, Tanaka raised to 150,000 from the button and found calls from both blinds, Dylan Foster and Zhang. The trio checked through the 5♦ K♦ 4♥ flop.

Tony Ren Lin raised the hijack to 100,000, only to face a shove from Haohui Ma for 260,000 in the small blind. Lin instantly called to put his opponent at risk.
