On the 2♠ 9♠ 3♥ flop, it checked to Chen, who continued for 15,000 and Mai cranked i t up to 35,000. Chen stuck around.

Both players then tapped the table on the 4♥ turn and 3♠ river. Mai tabled a flopped pair of nines with 9♦ 8♦, and it was good for the pot.

Quan Zhou had just taken his seat after registering before this hand.

Hijack Dai raised to 5,000 and was called by small blind Miao, but both folded when Seunghyun reraised to 26,000.

Dai opened to 6,000 from middle position before folding to a 30,000 raise from button Miao.

Cutoff Miao raised to 6,000 and was called by button Seunghyun.

On the 6♣ 8♠ 2♥ flop, Miao continued for 5,500 and Seunghyun quickly folded.

Zhou opened to 5,000 and was called by button Girard.

Zhou checked the K♣ 5♣ 3♣ flop, prompting Girard to bet 5,000. Zhou raised to 27,000, and Girard’s cards were soon in the muck.

Dong Chen made it 5,500 to go from under the gun and got himself three callers: Ivan Karatayeu on the button, Fen Mai from the small blind, and Yuelun Wang in the big blind.

The four checked to the river on the 4♠ A♠ 7♦ 4♣ Q♦ 6♠ board, where it checked Wang, who led out for 15,000. Chen and Karartayeu let go of their cards. Mai dropped in the call.

Wang tabled a rivered straight with 8♠ 5♥ and took down the pot.

Qiuwen Liang limped in from the small blind and Linghui Dai checked in the big blind.

Liang led out for 3,000 on the K♠ K♦ 2♣ flop and Dai called to see the J♦ fall on the turn, where Liang check-called after Dai bet 5,000.

A 7♣ filled out the board, and both players tapped the table. Liang tabled 5♦ 2♦ for a flopped deuces, which was no match for Dai's flopped trip kings with A♣ K♦.

Dinesh Alt limped in from the small blind and Qiuwen Liang checked from the big blind.

Alt continued for 2,000 on the 6♠ A♣ 8♣ flop and Liang called.

The duet then checked through the J♠ 7♠ runout and took it to a free showdown.

The K♦ filled out the board and both players tapped the table again. Dai revealed a rivered straight with A♣ Q♦ and took down the pot as Tang folded.

Day 1 of the Red Dragon Prestige Super High Roller kicks off this afternoon at Les A Casino (formerly Landing) in Jeju. The two-day event comes with a 12,000,000 KRW buy-in and gives players a deep 600,000 starting stack to work with. Levels run 40 minutes, starting at 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 big blind ante, and players will have a 15-minute break every two hours. Late registration remains open until the end of Level 14 on Day 2.
