The 6♣ on the turn gave Kondo a glimmer of hope, as he paired his six and had a shot at survival. But that hope was short-lived — the 7♠ river counterfeited his pair, sealing his fate in tenth as the final table bubble boy.

After a raise from Katsuyuki Kondo from under the gun, King Chun Leung shoved all in for 114,000. After it folded back to Kondo, he called to put his opponent at risk.

Kondo held the lead on the flop of 2♥ 6♣ A♠ , but the dealer quickly sent some bad news as the 8♥ came on the turn, improving Leung to a pair of eights. The river brought the Q♥ , which was no help to Kondo. The pot was sent to Leung, who secured a much-needed double up.

Kenta Takahashi opened to 22,000 from under the gun and received three callers: Martin Gonzales from late position, Dongjae Kim on the button, and Katsuyuki Kondo from the big blind.

A flop ran out 3♦ T♦ A♣ , where Kondo checked over before Takahashi continued for 20,000, which was followed by a fold from Gonzales and a call from Kim. When the action got back to Kondo, he mucked. The T♠ fell on the turn, and Takahashi fired out 45,000. Kim called to see a 5♣ land on the river, which Takahashi fired another chunky bet of 85,000 and sent Kim into the tank. After around two minutes, Kim eventually elected to fold.
