Xie Hits a Wall

Level 10: 700 / 1,400 ante: 1,400

Andreas Christodoulou, one of the biggest stacks on the field, opened to 3,000 in hijack to be re-raised by the big blind Ruiji Xie to 9,400. Christodoulou nonchalantly called.

The flop came T 8 4 and Xie led with another 9,000 bet. Christodoulou called once again.

On the turn J, Xie checked and Christodoulou took the lead with a 6,500 bet. Xie called to see the last street.

With another check, Christodoulou picked up a tower of blue chips worth 95,000 and jammed it in the middle of the table, effectively putting Xie all-in if he called. Xie stared at the imposing wall of chips in front of Christodoulou, clutching his cards and weighing his decision with just 60,000 left.

He burned a time bank, taking his time on the final level of the day. Unwilling to end his deep run, Xie mucked his cards and watched Christodoulou stack more chips to his stack.

Tom Verbruggen Nearing The Quarter Million Mark

With the pot at over 10,000 and the flop already fanned out Q K T Tom Verbruggen bet out 6,000 and Afu Wang on the button made the call.
