Hazhao Eliminated as Thang’s Kicker Secures the Pot
Action resumed on a completed board with both players’ chips in the middle: Wang Hazhao, at risk, and Minh Truong Thang.
Wang Hazhao: Q♣ T♣
Minh Truong Thang: K♣ Q♦
The flop came J♣ 7♠ J♦ , leaving Thang ahead with king-high. Both players paired their queens on the turn, Q♠ , but Thang’s higher kicker kept him in the lead.
The river, 6♦ , changed nothing, resulting in Hazhao’s elimination from the tournament.
