Nagami Rivers A Straight Flush And Ends Bei's Run

Level 24: 15,000 / 30,000 ante: 30,000
Kyosuke Nagami

Kyosuke Nagami min-raised to 60,000 from under the gun and got called by Nghiem Xan Thieu from the small blind and Shi Bei from the big blind.

The flop came 3 5 4 . All players checked to see a freebie A on the turn. Both blinds checked and Nagami bet 100,000.

Thieu stepped out of the way and Bei raised to 250,000. Nagami made the call and a 2 landed on the river.

Bei shoved all-in for his last 190,000 and Nagami instantly called.

Bei flipped over 3 2 - he turned a straight, but the straight on the board didn't need his hole.

Nagami, however, flipped an A 4 to show a wheel straight flush, eliinating Bei from the Main Event.

It's The Nagami Show!

Level 24: 15,000 / 30,000 ante: 30,000

Shi Bei made a min-raise to 60,000 from the button with A 9 then called the three-bet of Kyosuke Nagami for 275,000 on the big blind, who held A K

Both players were treated to a flop of 4 5 5 Ngagami led with 180,000 and didn't scare Shi Bei away to see a 8 on the turn.

Both players slowed to see a free 4 on the river. Both players had the same hand and would've chopped the pot. But....

Nagami then shoved all-in for 1,900,000, covering Bei's stack and putting him at risk. Bei didn't make the call and awarded the huge pot to Nagami.

Level 12: 1,000 / 2,000 ante: 2,000

Shi Bei woke up with A A on his big blind and made a three-bet to 12,000 with William Teoh and Pham Duy Anh matching to see a flop of 2 T Q

Bei fired 25,000 with Teoh shoving all-in for 62,800 and Anh getting out of the way. Bei snap called for a showdown. Teoh showed Q 5 : for a top-pair.

The 4 turn and 4 river didn't improve Teoh and eliminated him from the APT Phu Quoc Main Event.

China's Shi Bei Chip Leads in Fourth and Final Opening Flight of APT Main Event

Level 10: 600 / 1,200 ante: 1,200
Shi Bei

The fourth and final opening flight of the APT Main Event has wrapped up, with China’s Shi Bei topping the Flight D chip counts at 298,600 chips. This flight saw 135 entries (101 unique), with 64 players advancing to Day 2.

Pham Duy Anh trails closely behind Bei with a bagged stack of 220,000 chips, after consistently holding the chip lead until Bei surged ahead late in the day by besting new arrivals at his table. Former APT Super High Roller 8-Max Champion Thanisorn Saelor also earned his Day 2 seat with 178,200 chips, securing a spot in the top 10 for a shot at the massive VND 25,000,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Another former APT Super High Roller Champion, William Teoh, is advancing with a more challenging stack of 66,700 chips. Joining him in the uphill climb would be Thai TV host and former Main Event finalist Napat Chokejindachai (50,100) who has always been the bridesmaid but never the bride as far as APT final tables are concerned.

Meanwhile, Quang Huy Nguyen, currently ranked third on Vietnam's All-Time Money List, took a tough hit in the final six hands, losing a significant portion of his stack to Frenchman Francis Garson.

With all opening flights complete, the Main Event entries now total 753 (564 unique), though this number could still rise, as registration remains open until the start of Day 2. Currently, 292 players will advance to Day 2, with China's Jinlong Hu in the overall lead, holding a substantial 447,800 chips.
