There were a total of 145 entries making the PHP 70,000 (~US$ 1,200) buy-in for a seat on Flight A of PokerStars Red Dragon (PHP 25M GTD) at Okada Manila, competing for the chance to earn a payout from the PHP 25,000,000 (~US$ 428,300) guarantee. 15 forty-minute levels were played until the bubble burst to guarantee the top 22 survivors a spot in the payout pool and the chance to improve their payout when they return for the Day 2 leg on October 27.

Of the 22 survivors, Tomoyuki Yoshimiya sits as the chip leader with 691,000, winning most of them by busting the big-stacked bubble boy. Ranked second in chips is Go Saito with 483,000. Tak Sin Alex Chong wraps up the top three with 354,000.

Gun Jegal of South Korea was the one with all the chips after defeating Renniel Galvez of the Philippines in heads-up battle at the SUPERSTACK (Event#45) of the PokerStars LIVE APPT Manila Championship at Okada Manila. Gun Jegal outlasted 90 entries who made the PHP 30,000 (~US$ 515) buy-in to build a PHP 2,357,100 (~US$ 40,400) prize pool. Jegal wins the champion's share of PHP 629,100 (~US$ 10,700) accompanied by a coveted PokerStars spade trophy.

Renniel Galvez took home PHP406,000 (~US$ 7,000) for his runner-up finish.

Masatoshi Tanaka raised to 9,000 from UTG+1 and was called by Tak Sin Alex Chang from the cut-off. The flop came 9♥ K♣ Q♠ . Both players took some time to stare at the flop and checked. After the T♥ came on the turn, Tanaka bet out 14,000. With a Hollywood pause, Chang then raised to 35,000. Tanaka folded and awarded the pot to Chang.
