It's all over! Vietnam's Hieu Ngo dominated heads up against Thomas Ward to clinch his first ever major win. Entering the day with the largest stack, Ngo lost the lead to Justin Chu but soon recovered and went on to dominate from three-handed to the finish.
"I feel really good! I got lucky today but I played good. The players were good too but I think I got luckier. Coming in as chip leader, my strategy today was to stay away from the mid-chips and collect from the small ones."
Ngo walks away with the PHP 11,610,00(~US$ 199,100) top prize and wins an APPT Cambodia package worth PHP 175,000. This was Ngo's largest career score and first major victory.

APPT Championship Champion To Be Crowned Today
The inaugural PokerStars LIVE APPT Manila Championship resumes today at Okada Manila with the six players returning for the last dash to the APPT Championship title. The featured event got underway on October 23 with 416 ponying up the PHP 165,000 (~US$ 2,880) buy in. This was the largest Main Event buy in ever staged by PokerStars LIVE Manila.
On Day 2 and Day 3, portions of the PHP 59,922,720 (~US$1,028,270) prize pool were claimed starting at 61st place and up to 7th place.
At today's final day, each of the six is guaranteed a substantial payout of PHP 2,360,000 (~US$ 40,340) with the target as the PHP 11,610,000 (~US$ 199,100) top prize. For the top three finishers, an APPT Cambodia Package worth PHP 175,000 (Main Event seat and accommodations) will be awarded.
Bringing in the largest stack is Vietnam's Hieu Ngo with a commanding 142 bb. Running second in chips is famous Taiwanese high roller Justin Chu Jen Chu with 98 bb, in third rank is Beum Chun Jun of Korea with 69 bb, New Zealand's Thomas Ward in fourth rank with 62 bb, and Filipino players William Ysmael and Lester Edoc round out the final six with 25 bb and 22 bb respectively.
Both Beum and Ward have already clinched events at the festival - Beum won the APPT Turbo and Ward won the Mini High Roller.
