Ronald Keijzer is a professional poker player from the Netherlands who has built a reputation as one of the best Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) specialists in the world. Originally from Rotterdam and now based in Amsterdam, he is a familiar face at high-stakes tables across the globe. Before he was a regular at the World Series of Poker, Keijzer was primarily a cash game grinder, and he brought that same deep-stack knowledge and technical skill to the tournament arena. As one of the few Dutch players to ever win a World Series of Poker bracelet, he has become a leading figure for the growing PLO community in his home country.

Career Earnings & Biggest Results

According to The Hendon Mob, Ronald Keijzer has total live earnings of nearly $3.7 million. He currently sits at 12th on the Dutch All Time Money List. His career reached a historic peak in 2024 when he finished 4th in the WSOP $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller for a career-best score of $692,232.

Keijzer is a World Series of Poker bracelet winner, capturing his first gold in 2018 by winning the $3,000 PLO Six-Max event for $475,033. He is also a dominant force on the high-roller circuit, recently winning an Aria High Roller for $218,500 and a Poker Masters PLO event for $202,500. His 2025 and early 2026 campaigns have remained active with a victory in the Wynn Summer Classic PLO Six-Max for $67,850 and multiple final table finishes in the PGT PLO Series in Las Vegas.

Biography & Poker Background

Born in the early nineties and raised in Rotterdam, Ronald Keijzer did not start his professional life on the tournament circuit. He was actually a cash game specialist first, spending years perfecting his four-card strategy in the card rooms of the Netherlands and online. He says that the transition from cash games to tournaments was a unique challenge because it requires a better understanding of ICM and bubble pressure. He first got global attention in 2018 when he traveled to Las Vegas specifically to play the PLO events. After winning his first bracelet in a field of over 900 players, he decided to take tournament poker more seriously. He is known for his humble personality and his dedication to the “grind,” often traveling with a tight-knit group of Dutch pros who support each other at the world’s biggest stops.

Play Style & Strategy

Keijzer is best known for his technical and aggressive style of play, especially in Pot-Limit Omaha. Because he has a deep background in cash games, he is very comfortable playing in “bloated” pots and making high-pressure decisions with a wide range of hands. In his WSOP bracelet win, observers noted that he used his big stack like a weapon, putting constant pressure on his opponents and forcing them to make difficult decisions for their tournament lives. While he is very aggressive, he is also a master of hand reading and knows exactly when to lay down a strong hand if he senses his opponent has the nuts. This “balanced” approach, combined with his ability to stay calm during the massive swings of PLO, makes him one of the most respected players at the high-stakes level.
