Paul Tedeschi is a French professional poker player originally from Bastia, Corsica, who has become a mainstay on the international circuit. Now based in London, Tedeschi is known for his incredible technical skill and his ability to win across multiple poker formats. From his early breakout as a young star in France to his recent dominance in major European and American events, he has earned a reputation as a quiet but incredibly sharp competitor who lets his results do the talking.

Career Earnings & Biggest Results

According to The Hendon Mob, Paul Tedeschi has won over $4.2 million in live tournament earnings. His biggest live score to date came in 2018 at the Caribbean Poker Party in the Bahamas, where he finished 4th in the $25,500 Millions World event for a career best $700,000.

Tedeschi is a proven winner with a wide range of trophies. He became a World Poker Tour (WPT) champion in 2020 after winning the WPT Online Omaha Hi-Lo Championship for $92,105. He has also come agonizingly close to a WSOP bracelet, notably finishing 2nd in the 2019 WSOP $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event for $374,886. More recently, in December 2025, he crossed the $4 million milestone by winning the PokerStars Open Cannes Main Event for $230,926. He has continued this momentum into 2026, already picking up a 3rd place finish in the WSOP Circuit Marrakech Super High Roller for $52,809.

Biography & Poker Background

Born in 1990 in Bastia, Paul Tedeschi first discovered poker as a university student. While he initially planned to finish his studies before playing professionally, his natural talent for the game led to massive early success. He first made a splash on the global scene in 2012 when he reached the final table of the WSOP Europe Main Event in Cannes, finishing 6th for over $194,000 at just 22 years old. Since then, he has spent over a decade traveling the world, moving to London to better pursue the high stakes online and live circuits. Despite his global travels, he still considers Cannes his “promised land” and frequently returns to France to compete in major festivals.

Play Style & Strategy

Tedeschi is known for being an adapatable and well-rounded player who refuses to be pigeonholed into just one game. While the bulk of his earnings come from No Limit Hold’em, he is highly respected for his skill in mixed games like Pot Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., and Seven Card Stud. He often explains that playing different formats keeps the game from becoming repetitive and gives him a mental edge over specialists. At the table, he is usually calm and unassuming, but his strategy is built on extreme patience and calculated aggression. His win in Cannes in late 2025 was a masterclass in chip management, as he held the lead from the start of the final day all the way to the trophy.
