Alan Goehring is an American professional poker player from Henderson, Nevada, who is known for his incredible success during the early years of the poker boom. Originally a successful junk bond analyst and trader, he brought a sharp, calculated mind to the table and turned professional at the age of 37. With a career that spans nearly three decades, Goehring has earned a reputation as a powerhouse in major tournaments, famously winning the very first World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship.

Goehring is also a World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet winner, a title he earned in 2020 by winning a $500 No Limit Hold’em online event for $119,399.
