Vietnamese poker player Huynh Ngoc Cuong, known by his online persona Winter Sea, is growing his live career rapidly, finding success at key events since 2021. Emerging during the pandemic, the young gun won two APL Hanoi events – Kickoff and Main Event – making him one of the year’s top new players.
In 2022, with more festivals taking place in Vietnam, Huynh won the local Hanoi Spring Championship Main Event for his third five figure payout amounting to $22,300. To cap the year, on December, Huynh locked up the APT Da Nang High-Roller event for a career high $92,000.
Cuong’s 2023 run was even more impressive, with two first-place wins at WPT Prime Vietnam in the Mystery Bounty and High-Roller Warm-Up for a combined $115K payout.Currently, Cuong has over USD 380,000 in live earnings and continues to make waves in the Asian poker scene.
