WSOP Monster Stack Lives Up To Its Name With 11,933 Entries

The 2026 World Series of Poker has already produced some huge fields, but the WSOP Monster Stack 2026 has once again reminded everyone why it remains one of the most popular events on the schedule.
This year’s $1,500 Monster Stack attracted a staggering 11,933 entries, making it the 20th-largest tournament field in WSOP history and comfortably one of the biggest events of the summer.
The WSOP Monster Stack 2026 field size also marks a major jump from last year, when the same $1,500 event drew 9,920 entries and generated a $13,168,800 prize pool, with Klemens Roiter ultimately taking home $1,204,457 for the victory.
Monster Stack Continues WSOP Field Boom
That means this year’s edition added more than 2,000 extra entries, a monster-sized leap for a tournament that was already one of the busiest stops on the WSOP schedule .
The growth also fits into a wider trend of huge-field WSOP events. It is still some distance behind last year’s Gladiators of Poker , which pulled in 24,629 entries for a $300 buy-in event. Last year’s Gladiators was won by Ian Pelz , who collected $420,680 after topping the enormous field.
The four Monster Stack starting flights showed a clear snowball effect. Day 1A drew 1,807 entries, Day 1B increased to 2,214, Day 1C climbed to 3,332, and a massive 4,580 players packed the tables for Day 1D.
| Flight | Entries | Advanced To Day 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1A / 2A | 1,807 | 90 |
| Day 1B / 2B | 2,214 | 126 |
| Day 1C / 2C | 3,332 | 175 |
| Day 1D / 2D | 4,580 | Pending |

One of the more interesting wrinkles came from the late registration window. A total of 1,733 players entered during the Day 2 registration period, meaning nearly 17% of the entire field waited until after the starting flights to take their shot.
After Day 2A, 90 players advanced from the Day 1A field, while Day 1B produced 126 survivors and Day 1C sent 175 players through to Day 3. The Day 1D group is expected to make up the largest chunk of the remaining field once all numbers are confirmed.
With almost 12,000 entries and thousands of hopefuls still chasing the WSOP Monster Stack title and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet, the event has once again cemented its place as one of the marquee tournaments of the summer and one of the largest live poker tournaments in the world.
