Day 38 of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas was one of the most memorable of the summer, delivering four bracelets, a long-overdue breakthrough for Daniel Negreanu , and the first cards in the air at the WSOP Main Event.

Negreanu flopped against Artur Martirosian to win Event #76: $100,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha for $2,257,718 - his eighth bracelet, and enough to put the WSOP ambassador in the black for the series.

Martin Kabrhel somehow won his sixth bracelet while multi-tabling three events simultaneously, further cementing the Czech grinder’s reputation as one of poker’s most remarkable - if controversial - talents. Patrick Stacey defeated Danny Tang heads-up in Event #77: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball for a career-best $223,177 and his first bracelet. Japan’s Daisuke Ogita won Event #72: $1,000 Mini Main Event for a seven-figure score, the latest Japanese player to claim gold at the 2026 WSOP.

Event #82: $10,000 WSOP Main Event - Day 1a

The tournament everyone had been waiting for is finally here. Day 1a of the $10,000 Main Event drew 772 players, with 543 advancing to Day 2abc. Japan’s Ryuta Nakai (323,000) led the flight - the Triton Poker regular has already racked up seven cashes this summer including a third-place finish in the $25,000 Heads-Up Championship. Past Main Event champions Phil Hellmuth (66,000), Joe Cada (133,600), Greg Merson (81,200), Daniel Weinman (79,300), and Damian Salas (54,900) all advanced. Scott Seiver (177,300), Stephen Chidwick (83,400), and Jeremy Ausmus (109,300) are also through. Jason Koon (18,700) is nursing a short stack. Day 1b begins at 11:00 a.m. on July 3.

Event #79: $3,000 Freezeout - Final 14

Andrew Moreno (11,955,000) leads the 14 remaining players into the last day, chasing a first bracelet. Four-time winner Asi Moshe (9,950,000) sits second. Chris Moorman (3,140,000) and Martin Jacobson (2,145,000) are also in contention. The final day begins at noon on July 3.

Event #80: $10,000 8-Game Mixed Championship - Final 12

Brian Rast (2,465,000) leads the final 12 chasing an eighth bracelet, ahead of Alex Foxen (1,955,000) in second - the latter eyeing a fifth. Bryn Kenney (745,000) and David Baker (345,000) are also still in contention. The winner earns $431,260. The final day begins at 1:00 p.m. on July 3.

Event #78: $600 Deepstack Championship - Day 2

The field is down to 50 players, led by Seong Han (6,285,000). Lisa Tan (6,230,000) sits second - she has already cashed twice this series including a seventh-place finish in the Ladies Championship. No prior bracelet winners remain, guaranteeing a first-time champion. Day 3 begins at 11:00 a.m. on July 3 targeting five-handed.

Event #83: $1,500 Double Board Bomb Pot PLO - Day 1

A field of 1,673 was cut to 227. Paul Fehlig (799,000) leads - though the app count looks inflated. Notable survivors include Naoya Kihara (426,000), Jesse Lonis (335,000), Joao Simao (285,000), and Robert Mizrachi (191,000). Day 2 begins at 1:00 p.m. on July 3 targeting five-handed.

Event #81: $800 Summer Celebration - Day 1a

Josh Arieh (1,295,000) bagged a top-20 stack from a 2,584-entry field, with 124 players advancing. Day 1b fires at 10:00 a.m. on July 3.

What’s Coming on Day 39 of WSOP 2026

Day 1b of the Main Event is the headline act, firing at 11:00 a.m. on July 3 and expected to draw a massive crowd. The $3,000 Freezeout and $10K 8-Game Championship both play to their conclusions. The Double Board Bomb Pot continues its Day 2, the $600 Deepstack plays Day 3, and the Summer Celebration runs its Day 1b. The one new event is Event #84: $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty at 2:00 p.m.
