The festival has been ongoing since February 15 and will run through February 25, 2024. The crown jewel Main Event featuring a PHP 20 Million guarantee took center stage on February 21, 2024 with Day 1A drawing 176 entries. The heat wrapped up at 27 remaining led by Korean young gun Hyeonho Shin with 118 bb . Read up on the action via the live updates link.

Ingus Arajs wins Super Stack
Ingus Arajs outlasted the 123 entry field of the Super Stack to claim his maiden live title and a career high payout of PHP 404,092 (~USD 7,220). Arajs was the first player from Latvia to win at the ongoing series.

Jinlong Hu wins the flip at Single Day High Roller
No stranger to winning, China’s Jinlong Hu lifted his career fourth PS spade after winning the flip at heads up against fellow countryman Haitao Luan. Leading up to the final two, Jinlong was on a tear, delivering the bubble then eliminating Christopher Mateo (4th) and Lester Edoc (3rd). The final two quickly agreed to an ICM deal then flipped for the trophy. To spice it up, Luan had to win the first two flips against the massive chip leader Jinlong. But it was not to be. Jinlong won the first flip to be crowned champion.

Israel on the board as Ben Gur takes down KO PLO Bounty
Ben Gur put Israel on the board after defeating Hyung Kim Tae at heads up of the KO PLO Bounty event. This was Gur’s first PS live win. He pocketed the PHP 232,536 champion’s purse plus seven bounties amounting to PHP 35,000 for a grand total PHP 267,536 (~USD 4,780).

Elmer Kalaquian wins 25K NLH Turbo
At the 25K NLH, Filipino player Elmer Kalaquian denied two time series winner Keijiro Shimojo at heads up to claim his first ever PS spade and a payout of PHP 178,275 (~USD 3,185). Shimojo had to settle for a runner up finish and PHP 112,000. The event drew 19 entries with the top 4 earning a cut of the PHP 414,675 prize pool.

Rommel Angeles wins Hot Turbo
The four day Hot Turbo event was definitely one hot ticket with 297 turning up over three flights to build a richer PHP 2,535,192 (~USD 45,300) prize pool. 40 players advanced to Day 2, each one guaranteed to cash. Chip leader Lester Edoc was stopped in 13th place while Rommel Angeles entered the final table at the top of the counts. By heads up, Angeles found himself behind the aggressive Li Jun but one double up switched them up with over missed draw on a board . Angeles went on to close it out with a blaring quads over on a final board . This was Angeles career fifth PS spade trophy and PHP 506,000 (~USD 9,040).

Korea dominates NLH final table, Sehoon Jin ships it
The NLH drew 19 entries with only 5 players earning a piece of the PHP 414,675 prize pool. Koreans dominated the action, with four players advancing to the final table. By ITM, Sehoon Jin was ahead and went on to claim the title on an ICM heads up deal. For his monstrous stack, Sehoon was awarded the PS spadie and the larger payout of PHP 181,232 (~USD 3,240). Runner upPhenix Oesterstroem earned PHP 150,000 (~USD 2,680). This was Sehoon’s career first PS title and first triumph outside of home turf Korea.

Yonghyun Park holds takes down the Freezeout
The Freezeout event attracted 34 players for a prize pool of PHP 890,460 (~USD 15,900). For a majority of the day, UK’s Stephen Nathan dominated the chip counts until the final table. At five handed, Korea’s Yonghyun Park sucked out on Ryuhei Nakagawawith spiking the two-outer to dust . Park went on to rail Akito Mori next then claimed the win on a heads up ICM deal with Nathan.
