Final Day action resumes at 13:00, playing through 60 min blind levels beginning at Level 28: 40,000 / 80,000 ante 80,000. Those looking to catch last minute victories can still jump on the side event action with the 1B (~US$ 205K) guaranteed Mini Main Event happening today, along with the 5B (~US$ 41K) guaranteed Mystery Hunter High Roller where registration will remain open for two more levels.

Main Event Day 2 Recap

Day 2 welcomed 143 runners back to the tables and played through ten levels of action. Malaysia’s Chong Khai Bin who joins the final ten today, started strong having delivered the day’s first casualty and added 30 big blinds on to his stack nine minutes into the game. By the end of Level 27, the field dwindled down to ten remaining players led by Vietnam’s Nguyen The Anh.

Nguyen The Anh booked a steady pace early in Day 2 and was almost eliminated midway by the hands of Phan Tuan Vinh. Nguyen The Anh got it in with AdQh and managed to outflop Phan’s AhKh for a 55 big blind pot. From this point on, Nguyen cruised through, with his opponents one by one showing up with second best in showdowns.

Nguyen Thi Bao An follows closely behind with a 47 big blind stack coming into the final games. Nguyen Thi Bao An ran hot throughout the day, flopping a total of eight sets to boost her right into second in chips. The seventh hour saw her almost head for the rails in a battle against Alvin Jeff Sembrano with 9h9s vs the latter’s QsQc. Fortunately for Nguyen, the river 9c showed up on board, saving her from elimination and earning her the 73 big blinds in the middle.
