Joshua McCully Ships First Career WSOP Gold Bracelet on GGPoker
The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is currently underway in Las Vegas, but one of the summer’s most notable victories has occurred on the online event.
Joshua McCully Wins First WSOP Bracelet

Australia’s Joshua McCully captured his first career WSOP gold bracelet after winning Event #8: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo Online on GGPoker . McCully navigated a highly competitive field of 672 entries from his hotel room to secure the title and a top prize of $113,097.
Balancing Live Fields and Online Success
McCully is currently in Las Vegas to compete in the live summer schedule at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas . While he has put in heavy volume on the physical casino floor, shifting his focus to the digital tournament lobby proved to be a defining decision for his summer campaign.
Prior to his online victory, McCully had already established a consistent baseline for the summer with three live cashes at the series. He opened his trip with a 311th-place finish in the massive field of Event #1: $550 Mini Mystery Millions for $2,160.
He followed that up with an 89th-place finish in Event #16: $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em Circuit Championship for $5,068, and later finished 41st in Event #5: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for $13,920.
Asia-Pacific Success

While McCully is tracking milestones in the United States, he is already an established figure across the Asia-Pacific poker circuit. He is a frequent competitor at major regional festivals, recently booking his largest career live score at Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei 2026 .
In that event, he put on a dominant performance in the APT Main Event , outlasting the majority of a massive field to finish as the runner-up for TWD 9,519,000 (~$304,120).
By capturing his first official WSOP gold bracelet, the Australian pro adds another standout achievement to his career with plenty of opportunities still to come this summer.
