Final 9 players of WPT Cambodia Championship
The stage is set for the exciting finale of the first-ever World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship in Southeast Asia! From what started as 760 entries, is now down to the Final 9 players, each one seeking to become the first champion of the region and be immortalized on the glorious Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
In partnership with boutique gaming company Connaissance Management, the inaugural WPT Cambodia Championship set a new brand record prize pool in Asia of USD 2,432,760. Awaiting the champion is a mighty USD 441,546 top prize, inclusive of a seat worth $10,400 to WPT World Championship in Wynn Vegas.

WPT Cambodia Championship – Final 9 players
Konstantin Held – Germany – 7,275,000 (97 bb)
The chip leader Konstantin Held is definitely one to watch for. At Day 3, Held charged up the ranks and held command for a majority of the last four levels. Two months prior, Held was seen at the USOP Da Nang final table where he finished in 9th place making this appearance somewhat of a back-to-back in Asia.
Jianfeng Sun – UK – 5,475,000 (73 bb)
Consistent and on fire, Jianfeng Sun is back at the final table having first reached it at the festival’s Mystery Bounty event where he placed 6th. This will be Sun’s fourth cash of the series. On other stats, Sun is decorated with a win at the 2019 WPT Cambodia Warm Up event and at the 2023 Huangshan Cup Main Event for six figures.
Amit Kaushik – India – 5,150,000 (69 bb)
Amit Kaushik has been tearing up the Asian live front since borders opened in 2022. Last year he reached 16 final tables. In November, at USOP Da Nang Main Event, he finished 10th, just missing the final table. He returned to Vietnam in December and nearly won the Asian Poker Festival Main Event, taking in 2nd place.
Kyle Bao Diep – USA / Viet Nam – 5,125,000 (68 bb)
Racking up cash after cash at nearly every festival in Viet Nam last year – 38 in total -, Kyle Bao Diep kicks off his new year on a milestone high. For the first time, the young gun has reached the final table of a major event, currently ranked 4th in chips at WPT Cambodia Championship. His largest score was $44K for runner-up at USOP Da Nang Mini Main Event.
Joshua McCully – Australia – 5,050,000 (67 bb)
Australia’s Joshua McCully has experienced tremendous success in Asia especially in the high roller scene. Last year, McCully accrued over half a million USD in high roller winnings in the region and over USD 200K in Australia. He won six high roller events, earning his biggest score of USD 107K at the WPT Prime Gold Coast Super High Roller. Expect a big rail cheering him on today.
Florent Remi – France – 4,775,000 (64 bb)
Florent Remi is another high roller in the lineup but is well known for his online heads up dominance. Playing the live circuit mostly in Viet Nam, Remi has a list of high roller deep runs and a high roller title under his belt. This is his first major event final table.
Motoyoshi Okamura – Japan – 2,375,000 (32 bb)
One of Japan’s pride and joy, Motoyoshi Okamura, is a 2021 WSOP bracelet winner. Most of his live tournament achievements are from high roller events at major festivals around the world. Last September, he finished 13th at WPT Australia Championship. Okamura came back from just 6 bb at the final 10 to a decent 32 bb.
Kou Vang – USA – 2,250,000 (30 bb)
USA’s Kou Vang may not be a familiar face in the Asian circuit but when you look him up, you will find a long list of cashes dating back to 2006. Vang is active in the USA live scene, frequenting the WSOP since 2007. Last year was a big one, taking down the MSPT Main Event for a career high USD 314K. To date, Vang has USD 2.5 Million in live earnings.
Anthony Cierco – France – 525,000 (7 bb)
Another Asian circuit regular, Anthony Cierco has been frequenting the region since 2023 however his biggest payday of USD 152K was for 3rd place at WPTDeepStacks Sydney Main Event. Cierco is still seeking his first major title.
