Chi Jen Chen wins APL Taiwan Main Event for NT$ 1,278,500, Steve Yea takes down the High Roller
The Asia Poker League Taiwan festival has come to a conclusion. The festival took place fromApril 20th to April 28that theCTP ClubinTaipei.
A Main Event champion had been crowned and more trophies have found new owners in several side events.

Chi Jen Chen wins the Main Event
The NT$ 22,000 (~US$ 713) APL Taiwan Main Event had a total of 298 entries over three starting days.
92 of those made it into Day 2. The bubble burst when 38 were left and the final 9 returned on 27th April to battle it out for glory, trophy and prize money.
The Final 9
The nine finalists returned with Chi Jen Chen leading the field and Si Yang Phua being the short stack. However, it was Liang Chih Ying, who had started the day 4th in chips, who was the first player out and Si Yang Phua in turn ended up finishing 4th.
Chi Jen Chen started the day in front and he finished the day in front as well, securing himself a stunning trophy and a NT$ 1,278,500 (~US$ 41,474) payday.

Steve Yea takes down the High Roller
Fresh from a 3rd place finish the WPT LAPC Championship that earned him last month $201,650 Korean pro Steve Yea topped a field of 23 entries to claim victory in the NT$ 55,000 High Roller event. This victory brought him NT$ 557,800 (~USD 18,000) payday. It’s his the 2nd High Roller victory of the year on the Asian circuit. Steve Yea has been already crowned champion in the APT Kickoff High Rollers 2 which took place in Ho Chi Minh City last January.
