Asia Poker Championship returns to Da Nang, ₫10 Billion (~US$ 422K) in prizes to be awarded

Summer action isn’t over just yet with the tournament poker grind across Asia continuing to keep players wrapped up from month to month. This end of July, Asia Poker Championship backed by premier organizer Korea Mind Game Members (KMGM), returns to its homebase location in Da Nang, Vietnam from July 31 to August 6 for one week of action-packed games. Entitled Danang Series of Poker, the festival brings in a total of DP 10 Billion (~US$ 422K) in guaranteed prizes to be awarded throughout the course of the series, with 10 thrilling events yet again completing the schedule.

The upcoming festival will be the brand’s second offering in its very own first overseas poker club, Dragon Poker. Situated at the Han Market Square Building, the opening of the Club earlier this February came in celebration of APC’s debut on Vietnam soil. The previous edition similarly hosted DP 10 Billion (~US$ 422K) in guaranteed prizes across ten events with Philippines’ Jose Colada bringing home the Main Event title. Colada bested the 404 entry field and beat Korea’s Woo Young Lee in heads up battle to claim the ₫2,148,600,000 (~$90.5K) top prize.

DSOP x APC Highlights

Looking back at the APC Da Nang March festivities, only two events contributed to the guaranteed pot – the APC Main Event, and the High Roller tournament. This time around, an increased eight guaranteed events is shown on schedule, the largest one being the Main Event amounting to DP 6.5 Billion (~US$ 274,320).

Joining the guaranteed list this season are side events Warm Up, Warm Up Turbo, APC Super Stack, Hyper Turbo, Single Day High Roller, APC Monster Stack, and APC Closer Turbo. Buy-ins remain relatively the same ranging from DP 3.3 Million (~US$ 140) to its most expensive two-day Super High Roller event for DP 55 Million (~US$ 2,321).
