Day 1B of the WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition Championship has come to an exciting close, with 83 players out of a 663-entry field advancing to Day 2, all officially in the money. Early in the Day 1B fray, the event’s ambitious THB 37,000,000 (~USD 1.1M) guarantee was officially smashed, marking a major milestone in what has already become a historic debut for WPT in Thailand.

Leading the pack is Northern Ireland's Ciaran Farrell, who bagged a strong 888,000 (44 BB), narrowly ahead of China's Haoran Sun, who ended with 869,000 (43 BB) after bursting the bubble with a bold double barrel play. Taiwan's Che Lun Liu rounded up the top three counts, bringing a solid 860,000 (43 BB) onto Day 2.

After a strong showing in the opening flight, action resumes today at 18:00 with Day 1B of the WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition Championship front and center. With 525 entries already on board from the initial heat, momentum continues to build as players from across the region and beyond return to UOB LIVE at Emsphere Mall, Bangkok, for another shot at making Day 2.

/As with yesterday, players begin with a 40,000 starting stack to face 20-minute blind levels, and have just before Level 10 @ 21:20 to register. Play will be paused at midnight or when the field reaches 12.5%, whichever comes first, with survivors joining the growing list of contenders eyeing a piece of the THB 37 million (~USD 1.1 million) guaranteed total travel fund.
