It is unclear when exactly the chips go into the middle but it was certainly post flop when Luc Ramos has the best of it preflop with K♦ K♣ only to end up second-best to the A♥ T♥ of Nabil Cardoso. On a board of T♣ T♠ 6♦ 5♥ 3♦ , Cardoso flops trips and takes it all off Ramos.

Mark Gruendemann enters back to back hands with the first one costing him some chips then gaining it back and more on the following hand. Up against Luc Ramos, Gruendemann defends his big blind by calling the 1100 raise then they both check to the turn 2♣ J♣ 9♦ 4♣ . Gruendemann check-calls Ramos's 1500 bet then opts to fold on the river 6♦ after Ramos bets 1200.

The next hand, newcomer to the table Keisuke Tajiri opens 1200, Gruendemann makes it 5300, Tajiri calls. Gruendemann continues at the flop Q♥ J♥ 6♦ for 7000, Tajiri calls again. On the turn Q♣ , Gruendemann slows to a check then calls Tajiri's 5000 bet but on the river, Gruendemann jams which earns a quick fold from Tajiri.

With 8,500 in the middle to the K♦ J♠ T♦ flop, Luc Ramos check-raises from 3,000 to 6,600 against Abhinav Iyer and the latter calls. Ramos bets the Q♣ turn for 8,800 and Iyer comes along to then see Ramos check the K♣ river.

Iyer moves all-in with the covering stack and Ramos is in the tank.

"I didn't eat so much today, I am hungry," Ramos says but doesn't appear to try and get any information with this statement. Half a minute later, Ramos calls and his A♦ J♦ is good, as Iyer only has J♥ T♥ .

"I didn't have breakfast," Ramos adds after all is over.
