WPT Main Event Day 1B has officially wrapped up with another 70 survivors advancing through to Day 2. The second flight on schedule drew a much bigger 207-entry field with only a third remaining in contention following ten levels of play. China's Xiajing Ji towers over the pack with a final chip count of 366,500 to start the Day 2 rounds, having shipped two pots by the last few hands to inch over the lead. Russia's Evgenii Chzhen ranks just three big blinds behind, followed by Xinxin Jiang with 348,500, to round up the top three spots.

The final side event to complete, Win the Button Hyper Turbo, saw Jianfeng Sun reign victorious over the 57-entry field, earning him his career second WPT title. The fast-paced games ran just under four hours of play before Sun secured the victory, having defeated Dongdong Sun across the final duel. For his triumph, Sun adds KRW 9,437,000 (~USD 6,750) in cashes to his already impressive $650,000 record of live tournament winnings.

Taiwan's Meng Ling Lin emerged triumphant over the WPT High Roller two-day highlight and captured her second career WPT title across the Jeju games. Lin came up short on the WPT Opener, finishing 4th, and jumped straight away over the Day 1 games. The last standing female contender built up a stack and came into the Final Day amongst the top ranks.

It took an eleven hour grind before Lin closed out the win after cutting an ICM deal with runner up Yunchao Yu, who banked a larger cut off the KRW 323,010,000 (~USD 231,015) prize pool. Lin's victory however, earned her her second largest cash of KRW 80,910,000 (~USD 57,865) along with the coveted WPT High Roller Ring and WPT Trophy.

A threeway raised pot led by Xiajing Ji rolled a flop of 9♦ 6♦ 4♦ . Ji continued for 4,000, called behind by Baofeng Zheng. On turn 2♦ , Ji gunned for another 6,500 and shipped the win following a fold.

A few hands later, Ji was at play again, this time with a call for 32,000 against Enzhi Shen's small blind jam. Ji is ahead with 8♥ 8♣ vs the short stack's T♦ 7♥ , and scooped up the overall lead as board K♥ Q♠ 9♣ 3♣ 8♦ landed him a set.

With 60,000 in the middle on board A♠ J♣ K♥ 9♦ 4♠ , Jie Zheng made an attempt on the pot for 50,000. Quanzhen Fang on the big blind, put in the call with top pair A♦ J♠ , and locked in the boost as Zheng turned over Q♦ Q♠ .

A favorite across the Asian region, today's Short Deck NLH found 14 entries vying for its title, lighting up a prize pool of KRW 24,444,000 (~USD 17,480). Three players cracked a profit over the games with Italy's Fabrizio Falzei walking away with the largest payday at KRW 13,444,000 (~USD 9,615). This recent feat looks to be Falzei's first career win, marking his journey to the picturesque island definitely a worthwhile visit.

Xinxin Jiang opened to 4,000 from the cutoff and saw Tianyi Wen come along on flop 4♣ 5♥ Q♥ . Wen check called 4,000, and another 11,000 on turn 8♣ , and arrived at showdown after no bets went in on river T♦ . Wen shows 9♦ 9♠ , crushed by the river as Jiang found a pair of tens T♥ 6♥ .

A fourway raised pot revealed flop 7♣ 7♥ J♠ . Action was checked to Joonhee Yea on the button, who bet 6,000, called only by Yong Li. Turn 9♥ went check check which prompted Li to lead 7,000 on river 3♣ . Yea pays it up and mucks as Li flipped over quads 7♦ 7♠ .

Nengyue Chen went with K♥ 5♥ for his last 32,500 and was called by Yuejun Zhao on the big blind with K♠ Q♠ . Dominated, Chen failed to improve on board A♠ 3♠ 2♦ 8♦ K♣ , sealing his elimination.

With 19,000 in the middle on board A♣ 9♣ J♦ J♠ 3♥ , action was caught on Lirui Zhang leading out for 7,500. Chao Ting Cheng on the other end, raised to 31,000, and snap called for his entire 111,500 after Zhang moved all-in.

Xiao Liu opened to 3,500, called by Jiacheng Pang along with the big blind. On flop Q♦ T♥ 3♣ , Liu continued for 4,000, and put in 6,000 more following a raise from Pang. Pang barreled another 17,500 on turn 2♠ , and a final all-in for 20,000 on river T♦ , with Liu check calling to showdown. Pang reveals boat Q♠ T♠ , crushing Liu's A♥ Q♣ all the way.

Qifeng Duan defended his open and called an 8,500 three bet from Baofeng Zhang a seat behind. Action on flop T♦ J♦ 7♠ was checked round, peeling turn Q♠ . Duan led 6,500, and called 10,000 more after Zhang put in a raise. On river 5♣ , Duan check folded vs Zhang's final bet of 32,500.

Facing an utg open, Tianyi Wen shot out a 9,000 three bet, and was met with a 35,000 cold fourbet behind from Yuexin Wang. Both initial raiser and Wen fold, earning Wang the dead money.

Vying for 54,000 in the middle on board 8♠ 7♣ T♣ Q♣ , big blind Weiran Pu led for 15,000 and was called by Xinghui Zhao and Erdun Xu behind. Turn 5♦ however, was checked to Zhao, who bet 39,000. Both opponents decide to give it up and throw in the fold.

WPT Main Event Day 1B registration is officially closed with 207 entries recorded across the first eight levels. China's Xinxin Jiang currently stands in the lead by the last break of the day, stacking nearly three times the average stack.

One more flight is set to run through tomorrow, November 18, to wrap up the qualifying rounds.

With a pot of 13,600 centered around board J♣ 8♣ Q♥ J♥ , action was seen on Chuanjin Gong with a bet of 8,100. Xiaoyun Li on the big blind, check raised all-in for 36,200, and won the pot unchallenged.

A total of 18,000 was already in the middle even before flop K♥ 7♥ 5♠ showed up on the felt. Action was checked to button Nengyue Chen who bet 3,000. Zhaoxi Ma check called, and arrived at river A♠ for cheap after Chen checked back turn J♥ . Chen pulled a final 20,000, and picked up the pot just as Ma failed to call.

A preflop back and forth saw Takeo Kimura make the final call against Yuan Yu's 34,700 all-in. The pocket pair battle erupted with Yu securing a quick double up on board 2♦ 7♠ A♥ 4♥ K♣ .

Japan's Jiaqi He impressively secured his career first WPT trophy at today's Deepstack NLH games after coming out on top of the 57-entry field. He has booked a great month so far, having recorded his best live cash just two weeks ago at APT Manila. A preflop back and forth between small blind Jinwoo Kim and button Yayun Ding built 24,400 in the middle before flop K♥ 2♥ 5♥ was dealt. Kim led for 8,000, and went on to check call two streets on both turn 3♦ and river T♥ . Ding tables the nuts A♥ 7♥ and scoops up the pot.

A pot of 20,600 brewed across three players on board 7♦ 6♦ 8♦ 2♠ . Dawei Lu led all-in for 17,900, called behind by Quanzhen Fang. Pete Chen on the button, decided to reshove, and successfully isolated Lu as Fang folded showing 5♠ 5♦ .

Drawing dead right away, no river was able to save Lu, leaving him to head out the door.

Wei Zhu sent out a 6,200 three bet against Tianyi Wen's cutoff open and saw the latter fire back 15,000. Zhu completed and called for another 10,000 on flop Q♥ 9♠ 3♦ . Both checked down turn 2♦ and river Q♠ , revealing Zhu's A♠ J♠ , good for the pot.

Following a late position and a call, Junjie Ren squeezed all-in from the big blind and saw initial raiser Sishu Peng call off for his 25,800 stack. Peng, a huge favorite, cruised to a double up as board T♠ 6♣ 9♥ 9♦ Q♠ landed on the felt.

With 38,000 in the pot on board 9♦ 4♥ 6♥ 4♠ , Patrik Demus led for 16,000, called by Evgenii Chzhen. On river 5♠ , Demus went all-in for his last 17,500 and instantly knew he was dead following a snap call from his opponent. Demus shows A♠ 5♥ , crushed against Chzhen's A♥ 9♥ .

A three way all-in preflop situation was seen on board 8♦ 6♦ 3♣ 8♣ 9♣ with Hui Chen shipping the chip leader pot with his pocket pair. Chen delivered a double bust, sending both Hengzhao Lu and Yi Qin out after missing their overcards.

An impressive move, Xu's brave call earned him the pot as river 7♣ completed the board, sending Ding's A♣ 2♥ towards the muck entirely.

The first champion to rise to the podium over the day's schedule was none other than Xiaochuan Zhang, having topped the 5 Card Pot Limit Omaha 16-entry field. Interestingly, Zhang lost yesterday's PLO title to Dong Li, and finally closed it out this time, denying his final opponent a second series win. For his victory, Zhang cashed the biggest cut off the KRW 13,968,000 (~USD 9,990) prize pool at KRW 7,678,000 (~USD 5,490) in winnnings.

Facing an open and two calls ahead, Junjie Ren pulled a squeeze to 12,000, called by initial raiser Valeriy Pak. Action back to Lirui Zhang he re-raised all-in for 36,900, and once again faced Ren. In danger over a flip, Lirui managed to claim some back, having a landed a set on board Q♠ 2♣ 9♦ 7♥ 8♥ .

With 24,600 in the middle on board 3♥ 9♦ 2♥ K♦ , Lirui Zhang was seen leading out for 20,500. Junjie Ren behind raised all-in for 53,600, to which Zhang snap called with T♥ T♠ . Ren is ahead with two pair 9♠ 3♠ and further improved to a boat on river 3♣ for the full double up.

Pengfei Zhu defended his big blind against Bing An's utg open and went on to check raise 7,200 on flop 8♥ 6♥ 3♣ . Both players checked turn 4♣ through to river 5♠ , where Zhu led for another 5,200. An made the final call and raked in the pot with 9♠ 9♦ , good against Zhu's top pair T♣ 8♠ .

Xian Xiao risked his last 15,000 with K♠ Q♠ and was called by initial raiser Chen Yu with A♣ 5♣ . In for a race, Yu quickly landed top pair on flop A♠ Q♣ 3♣ but booked the loss as his opponent ran a runner runner flush on runout 6♠ 3♠ .

Miao Feng opened to 1,600 from utg and went on to reshove 31,300 in against Zan Chen's 5,200 three bet. Chen gives it up and moves on to the next hand.

Small blind Junjie Ren opened to 1,900 and called a 6,000 three bet from Chen Long behind. On flop J♠ 7♠ 4♥ , Ren check called for 4,000 and got to the river 4♠ cheap after Long checked back turn 6♦ . Ren bet all-in, and left Long to tank fold, saving his remaining 31 BB.

Up against an open and a three bet, Jianwei Lin stuffed his remaining 17,000 and was called by Sishu Peng for a flip. Board A♣ 7♣ 5♠ K♦ 5♥ instantly paired up Peng's overcards, eventually delivering the bust shortly after.

Yayun Ding defended her big blind against Lei Shen's cutoff open and check called two streets on board A♥ K♦ Q♦ 7♥ . On river J♥ , Ding led for 6,000, snap called by the raiser. Ding shows two pair K♥ 7♠ , no good against Shen's set J♠ J♣ .

A three way raised pot built 15,000 in the middle on A♣ K♣ Q♥ . Chuanjin Gong led for 6,100, and went on to slam 44,100 total against a raise from Yongqiang Xia. Xia snap called with the nuts J♥ T♦ , and remained ahead against Gong's A♦ 5♦ all the way through turn 6♠ and river 9♦ .

Zeyang Ding opened to 2,400 on the cutoff and was joined by both players on the blinds on flop A♠ 2♠ 4♦ . Checked to Ding, he bet 3,000, called by Hidetomo Wada. Action back to Chen Yu, he raised for 4,000 more, and found both opponents continuing to turn 9♣ . Yu churned out a hefty 22,000, and collected the pot following two folds.

A preflop back and forth between Ping Lin and Lirui Zhang landed both 80 BB stacks in the middle. Lirui dominated, managed to turn the tables with a pair of jacks on board Q♦ T♠ 3♣ 6♠ 8♣ to snag the win.

Zuo You on the cutoff sent out a 4,500 three bet and saw both the initial raiser and Yongqiang Xia make the call. On flop T♠ T♣ 9♣ , You continued for 4,200, and a following 15,500 on turn 4♦ . Xia invested one bet yet folded after his opponent barreled another.

Lirui Zhang sent out a 2,400 three bet from the big blind against Chuanjin Gong's late position open and went on to lead out each street on board 8♠ A♦ T♦ 4♦ 3♦ . Gong called the first two behind, but eventually gave it up after Zhang pulled the trigger.

With 9,000 in the middle on board J♦ K♠ 9♠ 7♠ 9♦ , action was seen on small blind Zeyang Ding with a 15,000 overbet. Jieming Xu demanded for the rest, and Ding tank called for his remaining 16,200 with ace high A♠ 6♥ . Unfortunately for him, Xu had the best of it with a boat 9♥ 7♥ to deliver the bust.

Jinquan Wang defended his hijack open and called a 3,500 three bet from Guanxiong Zhang a seat behind. On flop T♠ T♦ 7♥ , Zhang continued for 3,100, check called by his opponent. Turn 3♣ collected no bets, prompting Zhang to bet a final 4,000 on river 4♠ . Wang check called once more, and bagged the win with 6♦ 6♣ as Zhang tabled only a pair of fours A♦ 4♣ .

An all-in preflop situation saw Xuejian Li at risk for his last 12,500 against Jianwei Lin's dominated pocket pair. A great spot to double up, Li instead headed for the rails as the board 9♥ 3♣ 4♣ 8♦ 3♥ landed a boat for his opponent.

With 4,000 in the middle on board 4♦ T♠ 2♠ , initial raiser Zhihua Yang check raised to 6,300 against Hisashi Yoshimoto's 1,300 bet, and went on to bet another 5,500 on turn Q♣ .Yoshimoto decided to let it go by the second barrel, shipping his opponent the boost.

Quanzhen Fang sent out a 3,500 three bet against Bofei Lin's cutoff open and saw the latter complete. Action across board 5♥ J♣ 9♠ A♠ 4♥ was checked down to the river where Fang finally sent out a 4,000 bet. Lin makes the call and mucks as Fang turned over A♣ K♥ for top pair.

A fourway raised pot saw flop Q♥ 7♣ 2♣ . Action was checked round to turn 9♦ where Hui Chen led for 2,500. Peng Wu behind, put in the call, peeling river 4♠ . Chen this time, check called a final 3,900 bet from Wu, and mucked as his opponent showed two pair Q♣ 9♥ .

Jieming Xu opened 25,000 on the button and was priced in to call big blind Hidetomo Wada's 41,500 jam. Whilst dominated, Xu managed to catch bottom pair on board T♦ 8♥ 7♣ 3♦ 9♣ to bust his opponent out.

Facing an open and a call, Nabil Cardoso lodged a three bet to 3,200 on the button, and saw only Ran Zhou continue to flop 2♦ 2♥ 3♦ . Cardoso bet 3,500, and claimed success right away as Zhou folded.

Small blind Chu Hsien Lee limp called a 1,900 raise from Jinquan Wang behind. On board K♠ A♦ T♦ Q♣ Q♠ , Wang bet all three streets - 2,300, 2,500 and 4,500, with Lee check calling the initial two. By the river however, Lee found himself beat and opted out.

A fourway three bet pot dealt flop K♠ 8♣ 4♥ . Small blind Yongbin Wang led for 4,800, called by initial raiser Hidetomo Wada. On turn 2♠ , Wang pushed his last 5,000 in, snap called by Wada with a set 8♠ 8♦ . Wang finds no hope for his K♣ T♣ and heads out shortly after river K♥ completed the board.

Jin Wang opened and fourbet jammed 18,800 in against Maolin Song and saw the latter risk his stack as well. Unfortunately for Song, his ace high was outpipped, leaving him short as the board A♣ 3♥ T♥ 5♦ 7♥ further improved Wang to a nut flush.

Two players vied for the sizable 27,600 pot on board 6♥ 9♦ 3♦ T♣ , beginning with a 17,000 bet from Shuang Hu. Long Cao behind, raised all-in for 33,800 total, and bagged the pot after Hu eventually decided to let it go.

A pot of 17,300 brewed in the middle on board 7♥ 7♠ 4♦ 6♥ Q♦ where Zeyang Ding was seen check calling an overbet shove from Junjie Ren behind for 25,800. Ren shows straight 8♥ 5♣ , leaving Ding's J♦ J♠ in pieces.

With 9,000 in the pot across board 9♥ 4♦ J♠ Q♣ , Denis Zhang was seen leading out for 5,500. Sergei Kim behind put in the call, and called for a final 12,000 on river J♦ . Zhang shows full house J♣ 4♣ for the pot, leaving Kim's trip jacks J♥ headed towards the muck.

Shuang Hu opened to 900 from utg followed by a raise to 2,700 from Rong Gu on the small blind. Hu answered with a fourbet to 7,700, and Gu folds.

A fourway raised pot battled on flop A♦ 5♥ 6♣ . Action was checked to raiser Chao Wu, who bet 1,000. Zhihua Yang called behind and found Zhaoqing Sun check raise to 3,700. Only Yang continued to turn K♦ , and shortly arrived at showdown after Wu checked back river 4♦ .

Following an utg limp, Xiaoyun Li put in a raise to 800 and was met with a 2,500 three bet behind from Denis Zhang. Li put in the call and went on to check raise 5,500 on flop T♣ 9♣ 5♦ , convincing Zhang to fold.

With 2,700 in the middle on flop 5♣ 5♠ 4♦ , action was seen on big blind Zhaoqing Sun with a check raise to 3,700. Initial raiser Hanmin Wang continued to turn 8♦ , but surrendered shortly after Sun pulled another 6,000.

Jin Wang opened to 800 from the cutoff, to which You Zuo defended his big blind. Wang continued for 1,000 on flop K♥ A♥ 5♥ , check called by his opponent. On turn T♦ , Zuo led for 900, and fired another 4,200 on river 6♠ . Wang gave it up by the final bet and showed set K♦ K♠ .

Jieming Xu opened to 600 from utg and found both players on the blinds make the call to see flop A♥ 8♣ 7♠ . Xu continued for 1,500, check called by Bing An. On turn 3♥ , Xu fired another 4,000 and An opts out.

Yi Qin fired a 2,100 three bet from the big blind against Yuan Yu's late position open and saw the latter complete to flop K♥ 9♥ 7♣ . Qin continued for another 2,100, raised by Yu to 7,000. No hesitation from Qin as he pushed all-in, earning the pot as Yu let it go.

Tianyi Wen defended his big blind against Zeyang Ding's button open and went on to check raise 2,000 on flop J♣ T♥ 9♥ . Wen gunned for another 2,700 on turn 9♦ , which didn't stop Ding from seeing river A♣ . Wen eventually gave it up and check folded after Ding bet a final 5,000.

Wei Zhu opened to 400 from the cutoff and saw both players on the blinds come along on flop 6♥ T♠ 9♠ . Zhu continued for 600, check called by Evgenii Chzhen. Turn A♥ and river 3♥ merited no bets, revealing Chzhen's pair of sixes 6♠ 7♣ , not enough to beat Zhu's pair of tens T♥ 8♦ .

With 8,300 in the middle on a board of 8♦ J♠ 9♣ 2♥ 8♠ , action was seen on big blind Ye Li with a lead bet of 5,000. Tsuyoshi Ikeda on the other end, raised to 12,000 and shipped the pot as Li folded.

Denis Wei Zhang limp raised to 2,400 on the small blind and saw Junjie Ren behind put in the call. On board K♦ 7♣ 8♠ 2♥ Q♣ , Zhang led 1,800, followed by another 5,500 on the turn, both of which didn't deter Ren. Zhang slowed down on the river and relinquished the pot as Ren showed K♠ J♠ , crushing his 3♥ 3♠ all the way.

A fourway three bet pot led by Chao Wu revealed flop Q♥ T♦ 7♥ . All players checked it through to turn K♦ where Wu sent out a 7,000 bet, checked again to him. Three opponents fold behind and Wu takes the boost.

Lei Sun opened on the button and was joined by Kwai Fun Ying. On board 6♦ T♦ A♣ 7♠ J♣ , Sun barreled both flop and turn with Ying check calling both streets. River collected no bets, earning Sun the pot with K♠ T♥ against Ying's bottom pair 6♥ 9♦ .

Jeju Poker Festival’s debut at Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, continues to run its course with the first week seeing its WPT Korea leg front and center. Today runs the second of three flights for the KRW 1.68 Billion (~USD 1.2M) guaranteed WPT Main Event, along with five side events on schedule!

Games start at exactly 12 noon with registration remaining open through Level 8 @21:45. Ten levels of 60 minute blinds is on the agenda with all survivors geared to return on Tuesday, November 19th for the Day 2 battle.
