WPT Cambodia Passport to World Championship ($1,300)

After eleven levels, Day 2 of the Championship is in the bag with 17 players surviving the onslaught. China's Zhang Cheng emerged as chip leader trailed closely by Vietnam's Pham Bao. Stay tuned for the recap and the chip counts.

Nikesh Chawla picks the wrong time to risk his stack with A♦ Q♣ running into Joshua Tan's A♣ A♠ . No help comes on board 6♣ T♦ 7♦ 2♣ K♠ . Tan ships it.

Gagandeep Malik continues to see a run of good cards. This time with K♦ K♣ , he three-bets from small blind and initial raiser Vishal Ojha calls. Malik continues for 155,000 on the flop 5♠ 5♦ 6♠ , Ojha calls. Malik shoves the turn T♠ and Ojha folds. Malik shows the cowboys.

On a board showing 7♥ K♦ 9♥ 7♣ and a mountain of chips in the middle, Nikesh Chawla checks to Zhihao Chen who jams and wins the pot. Chawla said he had Queen-Ten draw but was not willing to go on that hand.

Unfortunate run for Nick Woodward who was moved to a separate table at the redraw then moved back to his original seat shortly after. On the first hand of his return, he looked down at A♣ A♠ and three-bet shoved on top of Gagandeep Malik's open-raise. Malik had K♣ K♥ . The board ran 6♥ K♠ 4♠ 3♦ J♠ , Malik scored huge double up to 1,550,000 as Malik plunded to 8 bb .

Immediately following that hand, Malik raised again, Woodward jammed and it was round 2 between them. Woodward has A♣ Q♠ , Malik A♥ 9♦ , the board ran 7♦ 8♥ A♦ 5♥ 9♠ . With a pair on the river for Malik, it was the end of the road for Woodward.

Button Zhihao Chen opens and big blind Trung Ha Nguyen calls on the big blind. When the flop comes J♣ 3♣ 3♠ , Nguyen check-raises from 60,000 to 150,000, Chen calls. On the turn 7♠ , Nguyen leads 240,000 and is called. The river K♠ , Nguyen checks, Chen shoves , Nguyen calls for his tournament life and gets paid for his 3♦ 8♦ trips while simultaneously exposing Chen's A♣ 9♣ missed flush

Mid position Dennis Pau opens 100,000 and big blind Gagandeep Malik calls, both see a flop A♠ 9♦ Q♥ . Malik bets 65,000 that's called by Pau. The turn 2♠ and river 9♣ are checked. Pau wins with K♥ Q♣ .

All in preflop, Vishal Ojha's kicker plays to stay in the game.

Loo gets lucky on the flop to overtake the aces but with the runner runner three-of-a-kind, Ho Tuan celebrates the suck out and eliminates Loo.

Junpeng Pan defended his big blind on a raise from Nikesh Chawla and then shoved on the flop 6♥ 2♠ 4♣ . Chawla called to place Pan at risk.

Utg Alex Lee raises 60,000, button Xiaosheng Zheng calls and off to see the flop A♦ 8♥ 8♣ . Both check to the turn J♣ . Lee bets 235,000, Zheng flats and the same on the river 9♣ with Lee betting 690,000 and Zheng making the call.

Deja vu for Keng Tan who sees small blind shove, this time it is Thi Bao An Nguyen putting pressure. Sitting on the big blind, Tan calls for his tournament life.

From utg, Zhang Cheng opens 70,000 and button Alex Lee three-bets 205,000. Blinds fold, Zhang three-bets 550,000, Lee flats. Flop comes A♠ 8♣ 5♣ , Zhang bets 350,000, Lee calls. On the turn K♣ , Zhang bangs out 500,000, Lee gives up his hand.

Facing a raise, Thi Bao An Nguyen shoves and initial raiser Dennis Pau obliges.

Action folds around to small blind Zijing Zhan who limps then calls Junpeng Pan's 80,000 raise. Both check the flop and turn to see a full board Q♥ 2♥ T♥ J♥ K♠ . Pan bets 75,000, Zhan check-raises 200,000, Pan goes all in for 350,000, Zhan folds.

Both of Tan's cards pair up to stick around.

Facing a min-raise by cutoff Timothy Englisk, big blind Armon Van Wijjk three-bets 300,000 leaving himself 30,000 behind. English tanks then shoves. Van Wijk calls for his tournament life.

Massive stacked Alex Lee opens from utg, two spots over Zijing Zhan three-bets back to Lee who flats for a 360,000 pot immediately brewed. The flop J♦ 8♣ 3♥ , Zhan bets 100,000, Lee tank-calls. Both check the turn 9♥ and river K♣ . Lee has T♣ T♠ , Zhan rakes it in with K♠ Q♣ top pair on the river.

From utg, Kazuo opens 45,000, hijack Vishal Ojha three-bets 125,000, Kazuo flats. The board comes 2♦ 7♠ 8♥ , Kazuo check-calls 200,000. Both players check the turn and the river is 8♣ . Kazuo leads out 400,000, Ojha tanks using up his last two time-extensions then folds.

Pradeep Nudurumati entered the day as one of the big stacks and now has run out in 39th place. Up against Pham Bao who opens 42,000, Pradeep defends his big blind. Pham continues 32,000 on the flop 7♥ 9♣ K♥ and is check-called. Pham again bets the turn J♣ for 90,000 and this time Pradeep check-raises all in. Pham cannot fold and shows 9♦ 9♥ set, Pradeep with K♣ J♠ two pair. The river 4♣ doesn't help Pradeep and Pham ships it.

By the turn 4♦ A♣ 8♣ 6♠ , the pot sits at 160,000 and both Alex Lee and Adrien Berger check. On the river 6♥ , Lee bets 175,000 Berger gives up his hand.

Three-bet pot with three callers, flop lands 9♠ 8♦ 8♣ , Gagandeep Malik bets 75,000, small blind Van Dan Nguyen calls while Thi Bao An Nguyen folds. Both players check the turn A♦ and river K♣ . Nguyen shows his J♦ J♣ which is no good against Malik's A♥ J♠ top pair.

Joshua Tan finishes off Akshat Verma with K♥ K♣ doing the job.

Woojin Kim was the biggest stack entering the level but is has all been dusted off to two players, Pham Bao and Gagandeep Malik.

A♠ retold by Pham, he raised then called Kim's three-bet for a flop 5♥ 6♦ 6♣ . Pham check-called 40,000 for the turn 4♠ . Pham check-calls 200,000 and they head to the river 9♦ . Check again by Pham, Kim bangs out 457,000 Pham calls and ships it with 8♣ 8♠ . Kim had A♣ Q♦ .

Following that hand, Jinlong Hu opened, Kim and Malik call. On the K♠ 8♦ 7♣ , Hu continues and is called by both. The turn 3♠ is checked by all then the river 9♠ Malik bets, Kim jams and is snap-called. Kim has 8♣ 8♥ set then busts to Malik's 5♦ 6♦ straight.

Manh Cuong Le opens 25,000, big blind Alex Lee re-raises 75,000, Le flats. At the flop J♣ 9♠ 8♦ , Le leads 75,000 and wins the pot.

The turn T♠ and river 6♣ is a double up for Sukonthachartnant.

The turn 9♣ gives Zhai the straight and with the river 2♦ , Zhai ships it. Ho goes bust and Nguyen plunges below 10 bb. Nguyen busts on the next hand.

Facing a raise by Siddarth Karia, button Sean Ooi three-bets 53,000, then small blind Adrien Berger makes it 45,000, Karia folds and Ooi wants to se the flop 2♣ 8♣ 3♦ . Berger continues 16,000 that's called. Both check the turn 9♥ and river 3♠. Berger shows J♣ J♠ , Ooi mucks.

Cutoff Sha Chengchun opens 22,000, button Trung Ha Nguyen three-bets 52,000, Sha answers with a 150,000 four-bet, Nguyen gives it up.

Utg+1 Manh Truong Nguyen opens 20,000, next to act Akshat Verma three-bets 55,000, everyone else folds around to Nguyen who calls. At the flop 9♣ 6♦ 7♠ , Verma continues for 61,000, Nguyen check-calls. Both players check the turn 4♠ . The river 3♦ , Nguyen leads out 155,000, Verma gives it a thought then makes the call. Nguyen shows the bluff.

Xiaosheng Zheng opens 21,000 from the button and big blind Hyunhak Jung defends for a flop 7♦ Q♦ 9♥ . Jung check-calls 18,000, the dealer felts the turn T♥. Jung shoves 128,000, Zheng tank-folds.

Xiaosheng Zheng continues to command here at the Championship now sitting with 1,800,000.

Joshua Tan all in with A♠ K♣ and Chak Chan is made with J♥ J♣ .The board runs empty 2♠ T♥ 2♥ 7♣ until the river A♣ for a higher pair to Tan. According to the players, Raju Jaruplavath folded pocket Nines on Chan's re-raise.

All in preflop, Nick Woodward with 4♦ 4♥ and Jiazhi Zhong hopes to rail with A♠ K♥ , the flop runs 8♦ 8♥ 4♠ for an instant boat to Woodward. The A♥ is a scare card and with the 9♦ river, Woodward banks a double.

Matthew Wakeman min-raises from utg and Amir Abbas defends his big blind. Wakeman bets 20,000 on a flop K-Q-3, Abbas check-raises 55,000, Wakeman calls. Abbas leads out the turn 5, Wakeman calls. The river is another 5, Wakeman jams, Abbas check-calls for his tournament life. Wakeman shows 10-9 bluff, Abbas wins it with A-K.

Down to 1000, Kim Kil Soo hoped the big blind spot would not reach him but it did and he was forced all in. Gagandeep Malik raised to isolate.

Bubble bursts! All remaining players are now in the money.

On a board showing 9♠ 3♥ A♣ 3♣ K♦ , Jinlong Hu is all in with A♥ 9♥ , Gagandeep Malik risks with A♦ 3♦ and doubles up with full house over two pair.

With a massive pot brewed and a board showing 5♠ A♥ 2♠ 3♦ T♠ , Minh Huy Nguyen jams, Sean Ooi calls, Nguyen has A♦ Q♠ and falls to Ooi's A♠ T♠ two pair.

It is now bubble time!

Hong Zhu three-bets his short stack and big stacked Pradeep Nudurumati calls. Zhu is ahead A♣ T♣ against K♠ 8♠ . The board pairs both of Zhu's cards for a double up.

Pradeep Nudurumati Sharma opens 14,000, Travis Endersby three-bets 51,000m Sharma calls then both check to the river T♥ 4♥ 8♥ 6♦ 8♣ . Endersby bets 52,000, Sharma folds and shows A♣ Q♥ . Endersby returns the gesture and shows A♦ A♥ .

All in preflop with Curtis Jian flipping and winning with A♦ K♦ improving to a flush on board 6♦ 6♥ 8♥ 2♦ J♦ against Shaun Conroy's 7♥ 7♠ .

Mr. Suhendra nearly goes bust with K♠ J♠ called by chip leader Xiaosheng Zheng with A♣ K♣ . With the board running 9♣ 4♣ T♥ A♦ Q♦ , Suhendra completes a straight and celebrates.

Within minutes of the opening level, Phillip Nguyen is all in with Ace-Jack and proceeds to fall to Dich Nguyen with Ace-King.

The WPT Cambodia Championship enters Day 2 with 136 players returning led by China's Xiaosheng Zheng who bagged over a million in chips. Based on the day's opening blinds of 3000-6000, Zheng's stack is equivalent to 168 bb. In second rank is India's Pradeep Nudurumati with 133 bb and to round out the top three is Vietnam's Van Dan Nguyen with 107 bb.

At this time, players are not yet in the money which starts at 115th place. The minimum payout is USD 2,130 while awaiting the champion is $175,542 plus a package worth $12,230 to the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas this December. Second and third place will also win a seat worth $1,100 to the WPT World Prime Championship.

Blinds will increase every 60 minutes. The goal is to reach the final table or play the maximum of ten levels.
