Day 1B of the Ultimate GTD Kick Off Event has wrapped up with 21 players remaining.

Leading the pack is Nguyen Hien Trung, who bagged an impressive 701,000 chips and secured the VND 15 Million chip leader bonus!

All survivors will return on October 12 at 12:00 PM (local time) to battle it out on Day 2 for a spot in the final stages.

After a tense 15 hands of hand-for-hand play, the bubble finally burst in dramatic fashion!

Tran Van Cuong was all in preflop for 44,000 holding K♠ K♦, while Amit Kaushik took the gamble with Q♠ 2♠. The board ran out runner-runner straight, stunning the table and sending Cuong to the rail as the bubble boy.

Amit Kaushik scores the knockout and locks the remaining players safely in the money.

From UTG+2, Nguyen Hien Trung opened to 13,000. After the button called and Shinhu Gwon 3-bet to 38,000 from the small blind, Hien calmly called, letting the action proceed.

On the flop J♥ 5♠ 6♦ , Shinhu c-bet 17,000, but Hien boldly raised to 50,000, showing his control of the hand. The turn J♣ saw Hien fire a huge 125,000 bet, and Shinhu snap-called, powerless against his aggression.

Nguyen Hien Trung just eliminated another player and surged to the chip lead with 580,000. With 27 players remaining and only 21 making it into the money.

Quoc Phu Ngo and Nguyen Hien Trung are heating up the tables, scoring several big pots and climbing the stacks. Both players are now firmly in contention for the VND 15 Million chip leader bonus.

Le Ngoc Minh claimed a huge pot against Le Nhu An on a board of 8♠ J♦ 5♦ 7♥ 9♣ . Holding T♣ 9♥ , Minh completed a higher straight compared to Nhu An’s 7♦ 6♦ , taking down the massive pot.

With this victory, Le Ngoc Minh rises to the top, now the chip leader with 370,000, while Nhu An fell to 5,000 and was eliminated shortly after.

With 15,000 in the pot, Zaitsev Evgenii went all in after a 4-bet on the flop 2♠ 3♥ 4♣ . Thoo Ming Ken flopped a straight with 5♦ 6♥ and called.

Zaitsev, seeing the disaster coming, mucked his hand and vanished before the turn and river, missing the chance to even split the pot when the 5♣ turn and 6♦ river hit.

Day 1B of the Ultimate GTD Kick-Off Event has officially locked in 161 entries. From the field, 21 players will make it into the money and secure their seats for Day 2.
