Yuan Xu Leads Chip Counts In Madness Kickoff Day 1C
The USOP Hai Phong Grand Finale made history with the Madness Kickoff flight Day1C as the most entries for a single flight in an opening event with 606. Of the 606 contenders, only the top 76 would qualify for a bag to keep their chips and bring it to tomorrow's Day 2 Final.
Leading the flight with the largest stack was Yuan Xu of China, who built a stack of 647,000 from a starting stack of 25,000 chips. Second in rank was Vietnam's Hoang Giang Luong with 568,000 with Nhat Duong Hoang rounding up the top three of the flight, sitting on 521,000 chips.
The 76 qualifiers are guaranteed a minimum payout from the prize pool, which was speculated to already go beyond the VND 10,000,000,000 (~USD 400,000) because of the Day 1C attendance. The Day 1D total entries will be adding gravy to a juicy prize pool and all that's left to do is what for the final numbers.

Xiangyu Yu Is The Bubble Boy
Under the gun limped. UTG+1 limped. Nhat Duong Hoang raised to 32,000 on the button and Xiangyu Yu shoved all-in for 236,000 from the big blind. Everyone folded. When it came to Hoang, he used all his time-bank tokens to weigh his options. Hoang peeked into his cards, studies his chip stack, thought if leprechauns really did keep pots of gold at the end of rainbows, counted the 236,000 and made the call.
The queens were head, but it was still a coin flip against he Big Slick of Yu. Lucky For Hoang, none of the bigger cards came out and his ladies held on to give his stack a huge boost, taking out Yu in the process as the bubble boy.
With the bubble bursting, the remaining 76 players are all ITM and will bag their chips to bring back with them on the Day 2 Final tomorrow.
