USOP Player of the Series title-holder Tao Wei Chang is unstoppable! Last night, Chang won the Midweek Event and now, he is chip leading the Superstar Challenge with the money bubble close at hand.

His recent pick up was the elimination of Nang Quang Nguyen. With blinds at 10,000-20,000 ante 20,000, Nguyen opened, Chang three-bet, Nguyen four bet all in for 16 bb, Chang snap-called. Chang turned over A♠ A♥ , Nguyen had A♦ K♦ , the board ran T♣ 7♦ K♥ T♥ T♦ .

Several hands after, Chang added more to his stack against recent High Roller Charity Event runner-up Tran Viet Anh Hiep. From the button, Chang three-bet and Tran defended the big blind. It took thirteen hand-for-hand deals for the bubble to burst at Championship Event Day 1A. The unfortunate player was Nguyen Thi My Phuong in back-to-back losses.

Nguyen's first loss was against short stacked Anton Johnson who three-bet shoved Q♠ Q♥ , Nguyen called with A♠ 9♥ , then missed board. Immediately after, Nguyen risked it all on a flop 3♦ Q♦ 2♥ holding A♦ 5♦ draw, Nguyen Trung Ha (Hasagi) had K♣ K♥ . The turn and river were J♥ and 6♠ .

During the bubble round of Championship Event Day 1A, with 27 players remaining, chip leader Jang Jongbea went head to head against aggressor Tianhao Zheng and chipped up both times. A crowd formed around Jing Sun's table after she celebrated her double up against Pham Van Quan with Q♦ J♥ straight over A♣ 9♦ two pair on a board A♠ 9♣ T♣ K♠ 4♦ .

One orbit later, Sun was all in again, this time ahead A♦ J♦ versus Nguyen Than Minh's A♣ 6♣ and shipped it again.

On the third showdown, Pham Van Quan open shoved 12 bb with A♣ 3♦ and Sun had A♥ A♠ to knock him out in 10th place. Sun will enter the final table as chip leader with 8,360,000 (55 bb).

Luck is on Pham Bao's side eliminating two players while coming from behind. First to get burned is Chan Man Lok who is ahead J♠ J♥ against Pham's 5♣ 5♥ . That changed when a five found the flop and the board completing 5♦ 9♥ T♥ 8♣ 6♠ . Chan is out in 15th place.

The Madness Kick Off Event saw two more players get the boot with all of their chips going to Khoi Nguyen. After losing a big pot against Joris Michl, Nguyen recovered some by finishing off Dinh Gia Tu (18th) with 6♥ 6♣ winning the flip against A♥ K♦ .

He then cleaned out Siddharth Karia (17th) with pocket Sixes again 6♥ 6♣ winning the flip against A♥ 8♥ .
