Malaysia’s Peter Sim closed out the Day 1D Turbo up top with a solid 672,000 (84 BB) bagged. He earns the second overall chip lead, just behind Day 1C leader Ching Wei Chen 陳靖惟 with 735,000. Head to the Chip Counts tab for completed Day 2 qualifier list.

That’s it! Main Event registration is closed! With Day 1A and Day 1B drawing a combined 462 entries, and Day 1C pulling 385, the addition of 196 at Day 1D brought the total entry field to 1,043 and the prize pool to a huge TWD 18.2 Million (~$600,200)!

Announcement was just made that the Main Event has crossed into 1000 entries with Day 1D at 158 entries. The pot is now over TWD 17,000,000. Registration is still open for another 40 minutes.

After five fast rounds, Day 1D is on its first break. 115 entries on the board with more on the waiting list.

Day 1D picks up 78 entries during the first three levels. Registration closes at the start of Level 10 at 11:20 pm. For late signups, blinds increase every 20 minutes.

Two tables all in. Having lost two back to back shoves, Meng is all in for her last 12,000 and is called by two players who check down the board. Meng lands a pair to triple up. At the other table, not so fortunate for Chao Ting Cheng whose A♦ 6♠ fell to Ho Yao Yu’s 9♠ 9♣ .
That ends Day 1D! The final 25 players join the 108 players that qualified to Day 2 via the previous flights.

Immediately following that hand, Meng is all in again, this time with Murat Yesniyazov hoping for a double up of his own. Meng has A♠ 2♠ , Yesniyazov with Q♣ Q♠ , Meng misses the board to pay another player’s stack.
