After 16 levels of 30 minute gameplay, the action at KPC Dragon Day 1A came to a conclusion with 12 players advancing through to Day 2. China's Chen Wen Wen leads the pack with 350,000 in chips, trailed closely behind by New Zealand's Han Tae Hoon with 347,000. Chen rose to the lead just before the dinner break after finishing off Hon Cheong Lee with back to back wins, and carried this momentum all the way to the end. All twelve Baby Dragon qualifiers are now in the money and locks in a one night complimentary accommodation at Landing/ Shinhwa Hotel on opening day of the next KPC in Mid-November (TBC).

Grinded down to a micro stack, Zhu Hong eventually called off for his remaining 28,000 against Han Tae Hoon's all-in. Still a race, the board 2♥ 4♣ T♣ Q♠ 6♥ failed to help the player at risk, leaving him out of the games one spot short of the money.

Having lost a huge chunk just the hand prior, Yang Xudong called off for his remaining 51,000 after button Zhu Hong moved all-in. Yang tables the same hand and locks in the win after running a full house on T♣ 4♦ 2♣ T♠ 2♥ .

Folded to Han Tae Hoon, he open shoved 145,500 in and was called by Yang Xudong. In rough shape, Yang shot down to 6 BB after the board 5♦ 7♠ 3♦ J♣ K♥ ran safe for the pocket pair.

Cutoff Yang Xudong opened to 15,000 and saw small blind Liu Yuhang send out a min raise to 24,000. Liu declares that he didn't see the action, prompting Yang to bump it up further to 55,000. Liu stuffs in 181,000 and Yang folds.

Liu Yuhang defended his big blind vs Han Tae Hoon's early open and went on to lead all-in for 74,000 on flop 8♥ Q♦ 2♥ . Liu makes the call with Q♠ 9♠ and is behind his opponent's Q♥ T♣ .Turn 4♣ and river K♣ complete the board, keeping Liu safe right on bubble time.

Action is right on bubble time with 12 players guaranteed a spot into Day 2. All Baby Dragon qualifiers (ITM) are eligible for a one night complimentary accommodation at Landing/ Shinhwa Hotel on opening day of the next KPC in Mid-November (TBC).

Facing a cutoff open, Xiao Shizi stuffed his 47,000 in and was met with another all-in behind from Yang Xudong. Raiser opts out and the two run the board K♦ 9♠ 5♥ 2♥ 8♦ , giving Yang the win with a pair of kings.

Han Tae Hoon defended his big blind against Xiao Shizi's 15,000 open and saw flop A♠ K♦ 2♠ . Xiao continued for 12,000, check called by his opponent. Another A♣ landed on the turn and was checked through to river 4♠ . Xiao sent out a final 20,000, again check called by Han. Xiao shows J♦ J♣ , no good against Han's A♦ 9♠ .

A blind vs blind battle ensued with Zhou Wanchen making a final call for his 141,000 stack against big blind Han Tae Hoon. Crushed against the premium pair, Han booked a massive loss after the board Q♥ J♣ 4♦ 3♣ T♣ spared no kings.

Zhu Hong has opened across three continuous deals and saw all three big blinds defend. However following one barrel, all opponents were quick to give it up right on the flop.

Cutoff Han Tae Hoon opened to 10,000, joined by Yang Xudong from the big blind on flop Q♦ 4♦ K♣ . Yang proceeded to call Han's cbet, moving on to turn 5♠ . Action went check check, prompting Han to go for 35,500 on river 2♦ . Yang folds and Han adds the boost to his already healthy stack.

Yang Xudong put in another open and snap called Zhou Wanchen's 57,000 all-in. In rough shape, Zhou quickly gained the advantage after the board showed 6♥ 8♥ Q♠ 9♠ 7♠ .

Hijack Han Tae Hoon opened to 8,000 and went on to call Tian Hao's 16 BB jam. A huge favorite, Han delivered the elimination after the board ran A♠ 3♣ 5♥ 7♥ 3♥ .

Yang Xudong has been driving up the aggression with bubble time nearing and entered another open for 8,000. Small blind Tian Hao decided to put him to the test with a 23,000 three bet yet shortly folded after Yang raised all-in.

Chen Long flicked in his remaining 28,000 and faced another all-in from He Junjie. Dominated, the board 3♦ 3♠ 9♥ 9♣ 6♦ sealed his fate, leaving him out of the qualifier.

Zhu Hong defended his big blind vs Yang Xudong's utg open and went on to battle on board 6♠ J♠ K♠ 3♦ 3♣ . Yang continued for 5,000 and another 9,000 on turn with Zhu check calling two streets. Both players checked down river and Zhu shows K♦ J♥ for the win.

Gu Xiaochun went with pocket nines for his last 41,500 and was called behind by opponent with A♦ Q♠ . Flipping for his tournament life, Gu headed for the rails after the river 2♣ 8♦ 4♦ 5♣ A♠ rolled an ace to knock him out.

Folded to Paul Hong, he stuffed his 60,000 stack in and was snap called behind by chip leader Chen Wen Wen. Falling behind, Hong succumbed to his fate after the board landed J♥ A♥ J♠ 9♠ A♠ .

Utg Chen Wen Wen opened to 8,500, called by two players behind. On flop 5♥ 5♦ 3♣ , Chen sent out 9,500 and picked up the pot uncontested.

Having just lost a chunk of his stack, Lee Hon Cheong shoved his remaining 30,500 and was called again by Chen Wen Wen. Running a race, the board 4♠ 8♠ 3♦ K♦ 8♥ ran dry for both players, leaving Chen's ace high good for the taking.

Folded to Lee Hon Cheong, he opened the action and saw big blind Chen Wen Wen bump it up further. Lee answered with an all-in and Chen quickly makes the call for his 83,500 stack. A pocket pair battle, Chen's ladies holds on A♠ 5♣ 8♣ J♠ 7♠ , sending his opponent crashing down.

Tian Hao opened from midposition and was called behind by the cutoff. Big blind Lee Hon Cheong decided to squeeze for 27,000 total and picked up the pot after finding no callers behind.

Utg+1 Chen Wen Wen opened to 6,500 and saw three other players come along on flop 7♠ K♠ A♠ . Action all checked through to turn J♠ where Chen continued for 7,500. Two more continue to river J♠ yet shortly fold after Chen pulled the trigger for 33,500.

With 17,500 in the pot on flop 7♣ 2♣ 3♠ , big blind Zhou Wanchen was seen firing a bet of 14,000. Button Xiao Shizi put in a raise to 30,000 and churned out another 40,000 on turn 4♦ after Zhou completed. Facing a hefty bet, Zhou opted to fold, saving his 23 BB behind.

Yu Lingjian opened the action and called off Zhu Hong's 40,000 all-in. Dominated, Zhu was in luck after the board 6♦ 9♥ A♠ 2♦ 8♣ landed him two pair for the double up.

Utg+1 Yang Xudong opened to 5,000, called by He Junjie and big blind Wang Zhiyi. All three checked flop T♦ 4♠ 7♦ through, peeling turn 8♣ . Yu Lingjian opened from utg, joined by big blind Xu Jieming on flop 6♠ K♥ Q♣ . Xu proceeded with a check call for 5,000, followed by 12,000 on turn 7♣ and a final 20,000 on river 2♠ . Showing nonstop aggression, Yu tabled top pair K♣ T♣ and Xu mucks.

He Junjie defended his big blind against Zhu Hong's open and went on to check call two streets on board 9♣ J♦ 8♦ 2♣ Q♠ . River welcomed no more bets with He showing T♠ J♥ for the pot.

Zhu Ning pushed all-in for 16,000 and was called by He Junjie from the big blind. At risk, Zhu lucked out and ran a flush on 9♠ A♦ J♦ 4♦ K♣ to keep him in the running.

Gu Xiaochun opened from early position and saw Zhu Ning defend his big blind. Flop came 3♦ 6♣ 2♥ and both players checked it through to turn 9♥ . Zhu this time, led for 5,000 and proceeded to check call a 5,000 bet on river J♦ for showdown. Gu shows A♦ A♣ and Zhu mucks.

Mp Yang Xudong opened to 4,500 and saw both players on the blinds complete to see flop 6♣ K♣ 7♥ . Checked to Yang, he continued for 4,000, called only by Wang Zhiyi. Turn 2♣ was checked by both, urging Wang to lead river 6♦ for 8,000. Yang makes the call and wins the pot after Wang mucked outright.

Utg+1 Wang Haoxiang opened to 4,000 and was met with a three bet to 11,000 from chip leader Guo Meng. Wang with no hesitation, stuffs his 46,000 in and Guo folds.

Utg Chen Long opened to 3,000, called by He Junjie right behind along with the big blind. Chen continued for another 3,000 on flop K♦ K♣ 2♣ and saw both opponents continue. Turn 3♦ was checked to He who bet 8,000, and picked up the pot after both players check folded.

Hijack Fan Zhe opened the action, followed by a three bet to 8,000 from button Sun Bin. Fan answered with an all-in for 33,000 and Sun folds.

Utg Zhu Hong opened to 3,000 and welcomed two more players to come along on flop A♥ 9♠ 4♥ . Action was checked to Yang Xudong who fired a 3,000 bet. Zhu check calls and proceeds to check jam 15,500 on turn 2♣ after Yang sent out another 9,000. Yang quickly gives it up and fails to complete.

Utg Cheung Park Yu opened to 3,000, called by the small blind. Flop came Q♣ A♠ 3♥ and Cheung continued for another 3,000. Opponent folds and Cheung picks up the pot uncontested.

Liu Yu open shoved 19,500 in and was called behind by Xu Jieming. Big blind Qidong He decided to join in and called off for his lesser stack for a three way race. The board J♠ 2♠ 8♣ 3♠ 3♦ ran safe for Xu's pocket pair, allowing him to deliver the double elimination in quick fashion.

KPC Baby Dragon Day 1A registration is closed with a total of 77 entries recorded across eight levels of play. Action will conclude once the field is down to 15% at 12 players.

A limp pot blind vs blind saw flop 3♦ J♠ 6♥ . Lei Yang led for 1,400, called by Liu Yu behind. On turn K♣ , Lei fired another 4,000 and claimed the pot shortly after Liu folded.

A raised pot saw flop 4♠ T♣ 9♦ to which Xu Jieming check called a 4,000 bet from Yu Lingjian behind. On turn T♠ , Xu led for 10,000 yet quickly folded after Yu put him all-in.

Hijack Xiao Shizi opened to 2,500, called behind by Chen Weihang. On flop 7♣ Q♦ 5♥ , Xiao led for 2,000 and checked turn T♠ through after Chen put in the call. Chen decided to bet 7,500 and lodged a pot size bet of 23,000 on river 6♥ . Xiao tanks and ends up making the call. Chen shows bluff A♦ 9♦ with Xiao turning over A♥ 7♥ for the win.

A blind vs blind battle ensued with Liu Yuhang risking his 14,800 stack in against Chang Yu Chung. In for a race, the board 9♠ T♠ 4♦ 2♣ 9♣ missed to pair either player, earning Liu a double up with ace high.

Utg+1 opened to 2,000, called by two players behind. Action on small blind Jiang Jialu, he squeezed all-in for 11,500 with J♦ T♦ and was cold called by Chang Yu Chung. All others opt out, and revealed Chang's premium A♥ A♦ . At risk, Jiang luckily found salvation after two tens showed up on board to keep him in the Day 1A games.

Utg Guo Biao opened to 2,100 and was joined by Wang Bin behind along with the big blind. On board 8♦ K♠ A♠ A♣ Q♣ , Guo triple barreled against Wang Bin, putting in a final bet of 25,500. Wang called two streets but eventually surrendered, saving his 37 BB behind.

Another all-in preflop situation saw Hsu Chih Hua at risk for his remaining 10,200 against Guo Meng's overcards. Fortunately for him, the J♠ 8♥ Q♦ 4♠ 2♣ board ran in his favor, earning him to bounce back in the game.

Hijack opened to 1,600 and fourbet jammed all-in against cutoff Cheung Park Yu with 8♥ 8♣ . Cheung makes the call with A♦ K♥ for his 19,600 behind and secures the double up with top pair on board A♥ J♦ 5♣ 3♥ 2♣ .

Button Tian Hao opened the action to 2,000 and saw Guo Meng complete from the big blind. On flop 2♣ 8♥ 3♠ , Tian continued for 1,500, check called by his opponent. By turn K♥ however, Guo was unable to continue after Tian sent out another 6,000.

An all-in preflop situation saw Lee Hon Cheong at risk for his 22,500 stack. Board 3♣ Q♦ 7♦ 6♥ T♦ faded any aces, earning Lee the double up.

Utg Sun Zeyu opened to 1,100, called by button Cheung Yiu Fai behind. On flop T♥ 3♦ A♠ , Sun fired 1,000 and Cheung continues. Turn 4♥ and river Q♠ raked in no more bets, revealing Sun's 7♥ 7♦ to be behind Cheung's 9♦ 9♠ .

Button Xiao Shizi opened to 2,000 and was met with a 4,000 three bet from small blind Weng Chien Chih. Xiao clapped back with four bet to 15,000 and successfully took down the pot as Weng threw in the fold.

With 19,000 in the pot on board A♦ 6♦ 9♠ A♠ K♣ , Zhu Ning shoved 16,000 in and was snap called by Lei Yang behind. Full house vs trip aces, Zhu shipped the double up, sending Lei plummeting down.

Sun Zeyu defended his big blind vs button Wang Wuyi's open and rolled flop J♥ 3♠ 8♦ . Wang continued for 700 and went on to check turn Q♦ through. On river K♦ , Sun led for 2,500, enough to convince Wang to make the fold.

Utg+1 Xu Chao defended his open vs cutoff Xiao Xian's 3,100 three bet and headed to flop K♥ J♠ 8♥ . Checked to Xiao, he sent out a 3,000 bet and another 5,000 on turn 2♦ . Xu peeled one yet surrendered after Xiao continued with the aggression.

With 5,600 in the middle on flop 2♠ 9♣ A♣ , Cheung Park Yu fired a check raise to 7,000 and saw Wang Zhiyi behind make the call. Cheung continued with an all-in for 12,700 on turn 7♦, snap called by his opponent. Cheung turns over a set 2♥ 2♦ , ultimately crushed by Wang's higher set 9♥ 9♦ to send him packing shortly after river 4♥ completed the board.

Liu Chang completed from the big blind and saw flop Q♠ 9♦ 8♥ . Raiser Yang Xudong continued for 700 and another 2,200 on turn A♥ with Liu check calling both streets. On river A♦ however, Liu found himself unable to continue after Yang fired a final 4,000.

Hijack Wu Peng opened to 800, called by the small blind. Yang Xudong on the big blind, fired a three bet to 2,900 and was answered by Wu with another raise to 8,800. Both players fold and Wu picks up the dead money.

Utg+1 Xiao Shizi defended his open and called a 2,500 three bet from hijack Gnusaev Dmitrii. On flop 8♥ K♦ 4♥ , Xiao check raised to 4,000 and Gnusaev completes. River came another K♠ and saw Xiao send out another 3,000. Gnusaev goes in the tank and folds.

Utg Xiao Shizi opened to 700 and called a three bet to 3,100 from mp Shi Qizheng. On flop T♠ 8♣ Q♦ , Xiao check raised all-in for 4,400 after Shi continued for 2,300. Though priced in, Shi opted to fold, giving Xiao the pot with no showdown.

A three way raised pot on board 2♦ T♣ 6♥ 4♣ saw big blind Hao Zhengshan leading out a bet of 1,100. Lei Yang calls and finds Yang Xudong pulling a check raise to 4,600. Both opponents continue to river K♠ , where Yang barreled another 12,500. Hao and Lei give it up, earning Yang the boost.

Button Lei Yang opened to 800 and saw both players on the blinds come along on flop 8♠ 6♣ Q♦ . Lei continued for 1,500, check called by both opponents. On turn 2♣ , Lei sent out a hefty 7,000 and called off Liu Zhensong's 18,200 jam. Liu shows set 6♦ 6♥ against Lei's Q♣ J♣ . Whilst ahead, Liu was left packing after the river T♣ landed Lei a flush for the win.

Cutoff Lei Yang opened to 600 and called a 1,300 three bet from small blind Liu Zhensong. Flop 6♦ 8♦ 4♦ was checked by both players, moving on to turn 5♣ . Checked to Lei once more, he bet 1,000 and picked up the pot after Lei threw in the fold.

Having lost his stack just a few hands prior, Zhang Zhuoqun flicked in his last 1,000 on flop T♦ 3♣ 4♣ , called by Yu Lingjian and Xiao Xian behind. Both players check it to showdown with Yu eventually tabling 5♥ 5♣ , enough to knock out Zhang right on the first level.

Utg+1 Gnusaev Dmitrii opened to 600, joined by both players on the blinds on flop 8♦ J♦ 6♥ . Action was checked through to turn K♠ where Gnusaev continued fro 1,500. Small blind Liu Yu puts in the call, revealing river J♥ . Both players check it down, Liu showing K♣ T♦ , no good against Gnusaev's K♦ Q♠ .

Following a limp, small blind Zhou Wanchen put in a raise to 1,100. Big blind Hsu Chih-Hua bumped it up further to 3,200. Limper folds and Zhou fired a heftier 11,100. Hsu gives it up and slips his hand in the muck.

Playing shorthanded, cutoff Zhang Zhuoqun opened the action to 600, called by Xiao Xuan behind along with the big blind. Flop came A♣ A♦ K♣ and Zhang continued for another 600. Xiao puts in the call, heading to turn T♣ . Zhang checks and Xiao bets 1,300. Zhang continues and pays off another 3,100 on river T♠ , only to muck after Xiao revealed A♥ 9♣ for a full house.
