Mystery Bounty (12,500 PHP)

The second and final starting flight for the ₱12,500 (~$215) Mystery Bounty has ended. Oliver Kubalek Richert finished with the Day 1b chip lead after bagging 389,000. Richert is most closely followed by Janno Alvarez (361,000) while Joshua Figuerres rounds out the top three with 318,000.

All players to have advanced to Day 2 are in the money. Day 2 begins at noon tomorrow and the plan is to play down to a winner. Stay tuned to Somuchpoker for all the action on the final day from the moment cards are in the air until a winner is crowned.

Magbanua is dominated and after finding no help on the 2♠ 8♥ 3♦ J♣ 9♥ runout he is eliminated on the stone bubble courtesy of Sia who takes the pot.

The rest of the board ran out 6♠ J♠ giving Castro the nut-flush to send Concepcion to the rail two spots shy of making the money.

The board ran out 9♠ 4♦ K♣ 3♦ Q♠ giving Concepcion top pair to double up through Cruz.

Both players had an overpair but Berdejo was in rough shape, drawing to just two outs against Alvarez’ pocket aces. He found no queens when the rest of the board ran out 2♥ 8♦ and was sent to the rail while Alvarez took the pot.

Oliver Richert Kubalek opened to 8,000 from under the gun and a player in the hijack three-bet to 23,000. Christian Relucio called in the small blind and the original raiser called.

All three players checked the 8♥ 7♠ 5♥ flop leading to the 9♠ turn. Relucio bet 25,000, Kubalek called and the hijack folded.

Both remaining players checked the 4♦ river. Relucio showed A♥ T♥ for ace-high while Kubalek had top set with 9♣ 9♦ to win the pot.

With two players seeing a board of 2♣ 8♣ 6♦ 7♦ and 40,000 in the middle Oliver Richert Kubalek checked from early position and Christoph Schumann bet 22,000 from the button. Kubalek called. Both players checked the Q♠ river. Schumann had 9♠ 6♠ for a pair of sixes and missed straight draw while Kubalek had rivered a higher pair with Q♦ J♦ to win the pot.

The rest of the board runs out 5♦ and 6♠ giving Castro a flush to double through Concepcion.

Sham gets the best of the classic preflop flip when the 9♣ 9♠ K♥ 7♣ 9♦ runout gives him a full house to double up.

Magbanua remains ahead with pocket kings on the A♣ 9♠ 2♦ 2♠ T♥ runout to double up through Nakamura.

The board ran out Q♠ 5♣ 6♣ J♠ 7♣ giving Magbanua a flush to double up.

Alvarez remained in front with pocket queens on the T♦ 3♥ 7♠ T♣ 2♣ runout to eliminate Haruna

The board ran out A♣ K♦ 4♠ 9♣ T♥ giving Cruz a set of kings to eliminate Miyatake and claim the last of his chips.

With two players seeing a board of 8♣ 3♦ J♠ and 43,500 in the middle Christoph Schumann checked from under the gun and Fujita Haruna bet 10,000 from early position. Schumann called. Both players checked the 4♣ turn leading to the 6♥ river. Schumann check-called a 25,000 bet from Fujita, who could only show Q♦ T♦ for a bluff. Schumann turned over a pair with 7♦ 7♥ to win the pot.

The board runs out 9♠ A♦ 8♦ A♠ A♥ . Neither player connects with the board and Cruz is good at showdown with a king to win the pot.

Alvarez made top set on the J♥ K♠ A♠ 2♦ 5♠ runout to double up through Takayama.

Villa had top pair but could only chop at best against Nakamura who had turned a straight. The T♦ river changed nothing for either player and Nakamura doubled up while Villa was left with less than one big blind.

Haruna has his opponent dominated and he remains ahead on the 9♠ 6♠ A♣ K♣ 2♠ runout to score the knockout.

The board runs out 3♠ A♦ J♦ J♠ A♠. Soh's pocket tens get counterfeited and he is sent to the rail.

With two players seeing a board of 7♠ J♦ 8♦ 4♠ and 18,500 in the pot, Kenji Hamamoto bet 10,000 from under the gun and Soh Puay Hwee moved all in for 35,000 from the big blind. Hamamoto folded and Soh took the pot without showdown.

With two players seeing a board of 2♣ 9♦ A♦ J♥ and 32,500 in the pot, Haw Jong Chin checked from the small blind and Hernan Jaybee Villa bet 15,000 from the big blind, forcing a fold from Chin.

The board runs out 9♦ 9♠ 8♥ A♣ 3♥. Magnotti is good at showdown with nines full of aces to take the main pot and triple up while Takayama is good at showdown with two pair, aces and nines to take the side pot.

The board runs out 5♣ 3♠ 6♥ A♦ 8♥ giving Nakamura top pair to double up through Belikov.

Waki was drawing dead by the turn on the 8♣ 4♥ 5♣ 4♦ Q♠ runout and he made his exit from the tournament area while Villa was good at showdown with a full house to take the pot.

The board runs out 5♦ 3♦ A♦ 5♥ Q♣ giving Natsagdorj top pair to double up while Nakamura is left severely short-stacked.

The board runs out 8♠ 7♠ Q♣ 6♥ 7♥. Waki has top pair, top kicker for the main pot, Villa has top pair with a King kicker for the side pot while Rosete’s pair of nines are third-best and he makes his exit from the tournament area.

Haruna is well ahead with an overpair against Kondo’s gutshot. He remains ahead on the 7♣ river to secure a full double up at Kondo’s expense.

The rest of the board ran out 7♥ and 7♦. Richert was good at showdown with the two pair and he took the pot while Asehan was eliminated.

Magnotti held with the bigger pocket pair on the 5♣ 6♣ A♥ 2♣ 3♥ runout to double up through Alvarez.

Korzhenko’s pocket eights held up on the Q♣ Q♦ 4♠ 9♠ 2♠ runout and he took the pot while Hirota made his exit from the tournament area.

The PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series 21 Continues Today with Day 1b of the ₱12,500 (~$215) Mystery Bounty. The second and final starting flight starts at 5:00 p.m. and features a ₱2 Million (~$34,100) prize pool.

Day 1a is already underway, having started earlier today at noon. The first starting flight generated 123 entries by the time late registration ended, and that number will only increase as players have one more starting flight to try to advance to Day 2.

Players begin with a stack of 30,000, worth 150 big blinds on the opening level. Blinds increase every 25-minutes and late registration closes after Level 10, at approximately 9:30 p.m. local time. The plan is to play down until 12% of the field remains at which point all remaining players will advance to Day 2 and be in the money.
