Mystery Bounty (12,500 PHP)

That’s a wrap on the first starting flight of the ₱12,500 (~$215) Mystery Bounty. Canada’s Marc Gagne finished with the Flight-A chip lead after bagging 444,000. Gagne is most closely followed by Marco Espela (440,000) while Kim Enriquez rounds out the top three with 342,000.

Flight-B is already underway, having started earlier today at 5:00 p.m. The fields combine for the second and final day tomorrow at noon and all players advancing to Day 2 will automatically be in the money.

Lizano’s aces held up on the 3♠ K♠ 6♣ T♠ J♣ runout and he won the pot while Saito was eliminated on the stone bubble.

The 19 remaining players have all advanced to Day 2 and locked up a min-cash.

Lizano remained ahead with his dominating ace on the J♥ 8♥ 7♣ T♥ 7♦ runout to double up with a flush through Nakamura.

Inocentes was a huge favorite to eliminate Lortie and burst the money bubble but the 4♦ 3♠ Q♦ 5♦ 9♦ runout gave Lortie a rivered flush to extend his tournament life.

Babushkin made a full house on the 8♦ 2♣ 6♦ 9♦ 8♠ runout to double up through Lortie.

Marquez took the lead with a set of tens on the 4♠ J♣ T♥ flop but Takeuchi made a set of his own on the Q♥ turn leaving Marquez drawing to just one out. Marquez was unable to make quads on the A♣ river and Takeuchi doubled up.

The board ran out 3♠ 6♦ A♦ T♠ K♠ giving Karia two pairs to secure the double.

The T♦ Q♠ 5♦ Q♥ 7♦ runout gave Espela a full house to send Berdejo to the rail two spots shy of making the money.

Players are now on the stone bubble with 20 remaining and 19 making the money and advancing to Day 2.

Saito was in rough shape with only one overcard to Lizano’s pocket nines but the 2♦ 6♦ 5♣ T♠ 5♠ runout gave him trip fives to secure the double up.

Nakamura was a big favorite with an overpair against Barnay’s bottom pair. He remained ahead when the rest of the board ran out A♥ and 4♥ to eliminate Barnay and win the pot.

With two players seeing a final board of 4♣ 2♥ 6♠ 4♠ 6♥ and 65,000 in the middle, Muthukumaran Govindasamy moved all in for 49,000 from early position and Kim Enriquez called with a covering stack from the hijack.

Govindasamy showed K♦ 7♠ for a king kicker to the two pair on the board. Enriquez turned over A♦ T♦ for an ace-kicker to the two pair on the board to eliminate Govindasamy and win the pot.

Takeuchi had turned two pair but Marquez was ahead with a flopped set of fours. The 7♠ river improved Marquez to a full house and he doubled up through Takeuchi.

Three bet pot by Patricio Lizano on the button is called by initial raiser Claude Henoud to take it to the flop 8♦ 3♣ Q♥ . Following a check, Lizano wastes no time counting and jams 119,000 which is enought to claim the pot.

Nakamura partners up on the board to outdraw for a double up.

The board ran out 5♠ J♠ 8♣ 9♦ Q♣. Lortie was good at showdown with a straight to send Kwok to the rail and win the pot.

Fujita Haruna opened to 8,000 from the hijack and was called by three players including Atsushi Takeuchi in the big blind. The flop came Q♥ T♣ 7♦ and action checked around to Fujita who bet 8,000. All three opponents called. Fujita continued for 10,000 when checked to on the 3♥ turn and this time only Takeuchi called. On the 4♦ river Fujita moved all in and Takeuchi called. Haruna had a pair of sevens with K♠ 7♣ but Takeuchi showed two pair with T♠ 3♠ to eliminate Haruna and win the pot.

Hamamoto was in great shape with a dominating ace until the 6♥ 8♠ 3♥ J♠ J♣ runout gave Gagne trip jacks to score the elimination and win the pot.

Gagne has Chung dominated and remains ahead on the 7♠ 9♦ 2♦ 7♣ T♠ runout to eliminate Chung and win the pot.

The board ran out 2♠ 8♠ 5♠ T♦ 9♦ giving Sim the nut-flush to double up through Inocentes.

With two players seeing a board of 4♣ A♦ T♠ and 29,000 in the middle Bazil Gimalay checked from the small blind and Harish Asnani bet 10,000 from the big blind. Gimalay called. Gimalay check-called a 20,000 bet from Asnani on the 9♥ turn. On the 7♠ river both players checked.

Gimalay showed two pair with T♦ 9♣ and Asnani mucked.

With two players seeing a board of T♠ K♥ 2♠ and 37,000 in the middle, Kim Enriquez bet 12,000 from the big blind and Sung Do Kwok called from the cutoff.

On the 7♦ turn Enriquez bet 35,000 and Kwok folded.

Tetsunori Saito opened to 5,000 from the cutoff and was called by a player on the button and Patrick Barnay in the big blind.

The flop came 9♦ 3♦ 2♥. Barnay checked, Saito bet 6,000, the button folded and Barnay called.

Saito bet 13,000 when checked to on the 4♦ turn and this time Barnay opted to fold.

Kim Enriquez opened to 8,000 from the small blind and Nikolai Babushkin defended from the big blind.

The flop came T♠ T♥ K♠. Enriquez bet 4,500 and Babushkin called. Enriquez continued for 16,000 on the 6♦ turn and this time Babushkin folded.

Burzio was in great shape to double up but Barnay made trips on the T♦ 2♠ 2♥ T♣ J♠ runout to send Burzio to the rail and win the pot.

The rest of the board ran out A♦ and K♠. Both players had a pair of jacks but Karia’s kicker played and he doubled up through Haruna.

The board ran out T♦ 3♣ 6♠ 5♠ K♠. Sakai’s aces were good at showdown and he won the pot while Magnotti made his exit from the tournament area

Jones wins with a pair of sevens to send Almerez to the rail.

With two players seeing a board of 8♦ 3♠ A♣ 7♣ J♠ and 58,000 un the middle, Sung Do Kwok checked from the hijack and Maestro Sim bet 20,000 from the button. Kwok called.

Sim could only show 5♣ 4♣ for missed flush and straight draws while Kwok turned over J♦ 9♠ for a pair of jacks to win the pot.

A player from middle position opened to 2,400, Joseph Magnotti called from the cutoff and Bazil Gimalay three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind. The original raiser folded while Magnotti called.

The flop came 2♥ K♣ K♥. Gimalay bet 11,000 and Magnotti called.

Gimalay continued for 15,000 on the 9♦ turn and Magnotti called again. On the 4♥ river Gimalay bet another 20,000 and Magnotti called. Magnotti had two pair with J♣ J♦ but Gimalay had a bigger two pair with A♥ A♠ to win the pot.

Jean Paul Berdejo opened to 4,000 from middle position and Alvir Inocentes defended from the big blind.

The flop came 8♠ Q♣ T♦ . Inocentes bet 3,000 and Berdejo called.

Both players checked the 8♣ turn leading to the 9♥ river. Inocentes bet 7,500 and Berdejo called. Inocentes could only show K♣ 6♦ for king-high while Berdejo turned over Q♦ J♠ to win the pot.

Late registration and reentries have concluded for Day 1A of the Mystery Bounty. The first starting flight generated 123 entries and 19 players will advance to Day 2 and be in the money by the end of the night.

Dragomir has top pair but is drawing dead against Sim’s straight and after the K♦ river he makes his exit while Sim takes the rest of his chips.

With two players seeing a board of J♣ A♥ 5♠ and 8,200 in the middle, Harish Asnani checked from the big blind and Arigai Shinya bet 4,000 from under the gun. Asnani called.

Asnani check-called another bet from Shinya on the 5♠ turn, this time for 11,000.

On the 4♠ river Asnani checked, Shinya bet 40,000 and Asnani called. Shinya turned over a flush with Q♠ T♠ and Asnani mucked.

Chung was in the lead with top pair but the 5♣ and J♥ runout gave Lizano a jack-high flush to eliminate Chung and win the pot.

Erquiaga’s kings held up on the 3♠ T♠ 5♦ 6♠ 6♦ runout and he doubled through Govindasamy.

The queens hold up on the 8♣ 4♦ 5♠ 6♦ T♣ runout and Burzio doubles through Kwok.

Chua was a huge favorite with pocket aces until the 6♦ K♥ 3♣ 2♠ K♠ runout gave Nakamura trip kings to eliminate both players and drag in a colossal pot.

The board runs out 7♣ 2♥ 3♠ T♦ 5♦ giving Gomez a pair of tens to send Tetsunori to the rail and win the pot.

David Erquiaga opened to 2,500 from under the gun and received calls from four players including Joseph Magnotti on the button.

The flop came 9♣ 9♥ 2♦ and action checked around to Magnotti who bet 2,500. A player in the small blind called and Equiaga called while all other players folded.

Magnotti bet 3,000 when cheked to on the J♥ turn and this time only Erquiaga called. On the 6♦ river Erquiaga checked and folded to a 15,000 bet from Magnotti.

With two players seeing a board of 5♠ 4♠ 8♣ 7♦ and 9,600 in the middle, Craig Jones checked from the hijack and Marco Espela bet 9,000 from the cutoff. Jones made the call. Both players checked the 4♥ river. Jones showed J♣ 4♣ for trips and Espela mucked.

With two players seeing a board of Q♣ J♦ 5♠ 4♣ 8♠ and 21,600 in the middle, Edwin Dela Cruz checked from the big blind and Patrick Barnay bet 12,000 from early position. Cruz called and showed ace-high with A♣ T♠. Barnay turned over a pair with 7♦ 7♥ to win the pot.

A player from under the gun opened to 2,000 and received calls from Bazil Gimalay in early position, a player on the button and David Evans in the small blind.

All four players check the A♣ 8♠ Q♥ flop leading to the J♣ turn. Evans bets 6,300, the under the gun player folds and Gimalay raises to 15,500. Both the button and Evans opt to fold and Gimalay wins the pot without showdown.

With two players seeing a board of 5♠ 3♥ K♦ 4♣ and 11,000 in the middle, Joseph Magnotti checked from the small blind and called a 3,500 bet from Yongjin Jun in the cutoff.

Magnotti led with a 5,000 bet on the 2♥ river which was enough to get a fold from Jun.

Shinagawa gets the best of the preflop race on the 6♠ J♥ 7♦ J♣ 5♠ runout to double up through Natsagdorj.

A player in the hijack opened to 2,500 and received calls from Bazil Gimalay in the small blind and Govindasamy Muthukumaran in the big blind.

The flop came Td4cQc. Gimalay bet 3,600, Muthukumaran called and the hijack folded.

Gimalay continued for 4,000 on the 3♣ turn. Muthukumaran raised to 8,000 and Gimalay called. On the K♠ river Gimalay checked and folded to a 16,500 shove from Muthukumaran.

Saito was in great shape to score the knockout with a dominating jack but the board ran out 5♠ J♠ 4♥ Q♠ K♠ giving Acdal two pair to double up through Saito.

With three players seeing a board of A♠ 6♠ T♣ A♣ and 18,500 in the middle, Richard Marquez checks from the big blind and Niroshan Loganathan bets 12,500 from under the gun. Alari Kunnapuu calls from the hijack and Marquez also calls.

On the 3♣ river Marquez checks and Loganathan bets 25,100. Kunnapuu calls while Marquez gets out of the way. Loganathan immediately mucked his hand and Kunnapuu won the pot without having to show his hole cards.

Chung is the favorite with pocket queens but Sun catches an ace to secure the double up.

David Evans opened to 2,000 from early position and received calls from a player in the cutoff and Bazil Gimalay in the big blind. All three players checked the 4♦ 2♦ 6♣ flop leading to the T♣ turn. Evans checked, the cutoff bet 8,000, Gimalay raised to 16,000, Evans folded, and the cutoff called. Bazil bet 20,000 on the K♣ river. The cutoff went into the tank before ultimately finding a fold and Bazil took down the pot without having to go to showdown.

Both players have a straight draw but Saito also has bottom pair. The rest of the board runs out Q♦ and 8♠ changing nothing for either player and Saito doubles up.

Rassmann is a huge favorite with pocket aces and he remains ahead on the 3♠ T♦ 3♥ 9♦ K♣ runout to send Everett to the rail and claim the last of his chips.

Hernandez is in rough shape with a smaller ace and finds no help on the 9♦ 7♦ 4♣ K♦ 9♣ runout, resulting in his elimination courtesy of Sun who takes the pot.

Chung remained ahead with pocket fives on the 2♣ K♦ 6♥ 7♦ K♠ runout to eliminate Korzhenko and win the pot.

James Moriles opened to 2,000 from under the gun, Stephane Graffin called from the button and Howard Everett called from the big blind.

The flop came A♣ 6♠ 7♠ and action checked around to Graffin who bet 5,000. Everett called before Moriles moved all in for 7,600. Both Graffin and Everett called and then checked both the 8♠ turn and K♦ river.

Everett had Q♠ 8♣ for a pair of eights, Moriles had top pair with A♦ 9♦ and Graffin had a set with 7♦ 7♥ to eliminate Moriles and win the pot.

Atsushi Takeuchi opened to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by three players including Patrick Barnay in early position.

The flop came 2♥ T♣ Q♣ and action checked to Takeuchi who continued for 2,500. Only Barnay called.

Barnay called another bet from Takeuchi on the 3♦ turn, this time for 5,000. On the 7♦ river Takeuchi moved all in for 21,200 and this time Barnay folded.

Sim holds with the best hand on the 3♠ 4♣ 8♥ 7♠ 6♠ runout to send Kwok to the rail and claim the last of his chips.

With two players seeing a board of K♣ 3♠ T♥ and 7,700 in the middle, Yoshiki Nakamura bets 1,500 from the big blind and Howard Everett calls from under the gun. Nakamura continues for 2,500 on the 9♥ turn and Everett calls again. On the T♣ river Nakamura bets 4,500 and this time it’s enough to get a fold from Everett.

Jun fails to complete his flush draw or connect with his overcards when the rest of the board runs out 3♥ and 4♣ and Ganbold doubles up with his pair of eights.

Gagne is ahead with top pair but Hernandez has many outs with second pair and a flush draw. The 5♠ river is a brick and Gagne doubles up through Hernandez.

Berdejo remains ahead with the better two pair on the A♦ and 3♦ runout to send Baek to the rail and win the pot.

With the board reading T♠ Q♠ 9♦ and 7,200 in the middle, three players checked leading to the 5♣ turn. Juhoon Chung bet 2,400 from the small blind, James Dela Cruz raised to 7,000 from the big blind, a player in the cutoff folded and Chung called. On the 5♥ river Chung checked and Cruz moved all in. Chung folded and Cruz won the pot without showdown.

Both players have two pair but Haruna is ahead with jacks and sixes. The 8♠ river changes nothing for either player and Haruna doubles up through Korzhenko.

The flop came 3♦ 8♦ A♠ and Magnotti fired a 1,800 continuation bet that Gimalay called.

Both players checked the T♦ turn and 4♥ river. Gimalay showed J♣ J♠ which was enough to win the pot.

A player opened to 1,000 from early position, Ho-tai Tsai three-bet to 3,000 from the cutoff, Ilia Timofeev called on the button and the early position player called. The flop came 2♦ 9♥ 7♣ and action checked around to Tsai who bet 2,000. Only Timofeev called. Tsai checked the 4♦ turn and Timofeev bet 6,300 which was enough to force a fold from Tsai.

The board runs out 5♥ T♠ 2♠ A♦ K♦ . Korzhenko rivers a set of kings but Sun rivers a Broadway straight to double up.

Chung is in rough shape with second pair versus Chua’s top pair. He finds no help on the A♣ river and is sent to the rail while Chua wins the pot.

Chung seemed poised to score a double-knockout with the highest pocket pair but the 4♦ J♠ 4♠ 3♦ 8♥ runout gave Korzhenko a full house to send Byambasuren to the rail and triple up.

With three players seeing a board of J♠ 7♠ T♥ and 3,200 in the middle Juhoon Chung checked from the big blind and James Dela Cruz checked from under the gun. Patricio Lizano bet 2,300 from the button and both opponents called.

All three players checked the 2♣ turn leading to the A♠ river. Chung bet 3,500, Cruz called and Lizano folded. Chung showed two pair with T♣ 7♦ and Cruz mucked.

Joseph Magnotti opened to 900 from the hijack and was called by a player in the cutoff, a player in the small blind and Feng Ji Chua in the big blind.

The flop came 7♠ 6♠ 4♥ and action checked around to Magnotti who bet 1,200. Only Chua called.

Magnotti continued for 3,000 when checked to on the 2♥ turn and Chua called again. Chua check-called one more bet from Magnotti on the K♣ river, this time for 8,000. Magnotti tabled K♦ 7♦ for two pair which was enough to win the pot.

With two players seeing a board of 8♣ 9♥ T♦ and 19,000 in the middle, Nikolai Babushkin checked from the big blind and James Moriles bet 4,100 from the button. Babushkin called.

Both players checked the 3♥ turn leading to the J♣ river. Babushkin moved all in for 14,400 and Moriles folded. Babushkin revealed that he had A♠ 3♠ for just bottom pair before winning the pot without showdown.

After scoring a double-elimination that saw Blanc Maxime and Han Yoonseung hit the rail, Henoud is now sitting with one of the largest stacks in the room at 79,500, worth just under 200 big blinds.
