Tamayo Doesn't Find His Outs; Is Out

Level 4: 200 / 500 ante: 500

Puay Hwee Soh raised to 1,200 from the hijack and was called by button Reynaldo Ong and big blind Anthony Tamayo.

Tamayo, who had just lost a shove the hand prior, moved all in for 19,000 on the 5 7 3 flop. Soh stepped aside, but Ong, after getting the full count, slid his chips in.

Anthony Tamayo: 4 2

Reynaldo Ong: 7 6

Tamayo was looking for any low cards to fill his straight, but the J 3 runout didn’t cooperate, sending him to the rail and giving Ong a healthy boost to his stack.

Catching Up Just in Time

Level 4: 200 / 500 ante: 500

The flop A T 9 and turn 5 were already up when I arrived at table 30. It was an action pot between big blind William Fernandez and button Kim Sulbum. Fernandez led for 6,500 and Sulbum called.

On the river 3 , Fernandez fired 12,500 again. Sulbum tanked, then called.

Fernandez showed J 8 a missed straight draw and a complete bluff while Sulbum tabled 9 5 two pair to scoop the pot.

Bad Beat for Walker

Level 3: 200 / 400 ante: 400

Youngwoo Han opened to 800 from middle position before Pradeep Singh three-bet to 2,600. Only big blind Mick Walker came along.

The flop fell 5 9 T, and Walker check-called Singh’s 2,400 continuation-bet.

The Q hit the turn, and Walker checked once again. Singh fired 5,400, but Walker check-raised to 15,000 before facing

a re-raise all in from Singh.

Walker snap-called, tabling K J, while Singh revealed Q Q for a set of queens. Walker needed to fade any board pair or the case queen to secure the double.

The dealer peeled off the 9 river, giving Singh a full house and sending Walker back to the registration desk.

“Well, that f*****g sucked,” he joked with SMP as he exited the table.

Level 3: 200 / 400 ante: 400

UTG Younghyun Park opened and found two callers. From the small blind, Edilberto Gopez squeezed to 4,200. Park stayed while the two callers folded. On the flop K Q J , Gopez led for 3,500 and Park called.

Gopez checked the turn 6 . Park tanked, then bet 11,500. Action went back to Gopez who tanked, then pushed all of his chips in the middle, and Park snap folded.

Early Table 23 Action

Level 2: 100 / 300 ante: 300

Eui Ho Cheun raised to 600 from early position and received a call from cutoff Sagar Chawla and button Soo Ghee Lim.

Cheun check-called and Lim called Chawla’s 1,000 bet on the 6 2 4 flop.

All three players checked through the A turn and the 3 river, with Cheun tabling A Q to take down the modest pot.

In the next hand, hijack Chawla opened to 600 and was called by button Artiom Dinda.

Both checked the 3 5 K flop to the T turn, where Chawla check-called Artiom’s 1,200 bet.

Action went check-check on the 3 river and Chawla flicked over A 3, having rivered trips, which was good for the pot.

Super Stack Brings Yet Another PHP 1M Guarantee

Somuchpoker continues its live coverage of Manila Megastack 23 from the elegant Okada Manila, turning the spotlight today to the PHP 15,000 Super Stack, backed by a PHP 1 Million guarantee.

Cards go in the air at 12:00 PM, with players sitting down to a healthy 40,000 starting stack and navigating 20-minute levels through the day.

Registration stays open until the end of Level 10, giving latecomers plenty of time to jump into one of the best-structured mid-buy-in events on the schedule.

Each featured tournament so far has delivered its own storyline: South Korea’s Jimin Lim claimed his first international trophy in the Mystery Bounty, local Noel Llamedo rivered a remarkable eight to win the Deepstack, and Indonesia’s Fendy Kosasih completed an incredible comeback from a single big blind to take down the Double Stack last night. With momentum building and the festival already packed with drama, the Super Stack is poised to add its own chapter. Stay with us as the action unfolds.

Event starts 12:00 local time..
