Having played over nine hours on the felt, Metro Team pro Czardy Rivera topped the 268 entry field, bagging a massive 636,000 stack into Day 2. Rivera took advantage of bubble time to amass more chips and inch over second in the running Ryan Platon. Joining Rivera are 39 other qualifiers including local standouts Renniel Galvez, Joemark Vasay, and Renato Villanueva Jr.

Folded to Sim Jae Kyung in the small blind, he bumped it up to 15,000 and snap called all-in with T♥ T♣ for his entire 195,000 stack. Big blind Marcelo Edmil reveals Q♣ Q♦ and proceeds to crush Sim’s pocket pair through board A♣ 6♦ 9♦ K♥ 3♥ . Marcelo picks up the 430,000 pot, knocking Sim out as Flight C’s bubble to close the games.

Kim Kye Hyun moved all-in for 25,000 with 7♦ 7♣ following an utg open and found himself heads up against button Jung Ian’s A♥ K♠ . In for a flip, the board 9♥ 5♦ 5♣ 2♠ 5♥ fortunately for Kim, ran in favor of his pocket pair earning him a double up to 13 BB.

Chzhen Evgenii defended his big blind against utg+1 Czardy Rivera’s open and saw flop 3♣ 3♥ A♥ . Both players checked it through, heading to turn 8♠ . Chzhen led for 19,000, called by Rivera. Chzhen fired another 35,000 on river 5♦ yet shortly folded after Rivera put him all-in. Chzhen saves his 13 BB behind while Rivera surges to top the field.

Hijack Kawaguchi Akihiro shoved in his 16,000 left with A♥ K♦ and was called by small blind Janno Alvarez with 6♦ 2♦ . Up for a race, Alvarez paired up on the flop 2♣ 3♣ Q♥ 9♥ A♠ but the river gave Kawaguchi top pair to survive bubble time.

Cutoff Alvir Inocentes shoved his 10 BB stack in with A♥ 5♦ and faced big blind Renniel Galvez’ 9♠ 9♥ . Behind, Inocented flopped a straight draw on 7♠ 3♠ 2♠ Q♦ 6♠ but bricked the turn and river to exit one spot from the bubble.

Folded to the button, Edgar Asehan jammed his 62,000 stack in with 9♣ T♣ and was called by big blind Lee Mm Thomas with K♠ Q♠ . Running a race for Asehan’s tournament life, the board 5♣ A♦ 2♥ K♥ T♥ gave Thomas a higher pair to seal his opponent’s fate.

Utg+2 Cheng On Tsun stuffed his remaining 40,000 in with A♠ 9♠ and ran into Chzhen Evgenii’s J♥ J♦ . An eight high board 8♦ 2♠ 6♥ 3♣ 5♥ ran on the felt, leaving Chzhen’s overpair good for the pot.

Utg+1 Monziar Villariaza open shoved his last 43,000 in with A♣ 6♥ and was called behind by Ong Kang Rui Ryan with 9♣ 9♥ . At risk, Villariaza was gunning for an ace which failed to come on board 6♣ 2♦ 4♠ T♣ Q♣ , sending him out a few places short of the money.

Following a hijack open, three all-ins were seen beginning with Benjamin Ebarle for 72,000, Xia Qi (139,000) and big blind Marc Rivera (24,000). Original raiser folds and the three go to showdown.

Cutoff Jonald Garcia open shoved 49,000 in with 5♥ 5♣ and ran smack into Ong Kang Rui Ryan’s premium A♣ A♦ . The board 3♣ Q♥ 2♥ 4♦ 8♥ delivered no bad beats, eliminating Garcia in quick fashion.

Cutoff Janno Alvarez opened to 9,000 with A♠ Q♥ and called off button Jose Drilon’s 60,000 jam. Drilon with A♣ 5♠ was in rough shape and failed to catch up on board 3♣ 8♣ 6♣ T♥ T♠ to knock him out of the running.

Facing two limps, cutoff Benjamin Mangaliman shoved all-in for 36,000, followed by another jam for 11,000 from Han Sung Jin. Utg limper Edgar Asehan makes the final call and the three run the board.

Utg+2 Ryan Platon opened to 10,000 and called a button three bet from Bonil Koo to 27,000. The two headed to flop 5♦ J♦ 5♠ where Koo continued for 42,000. Platon check raised to 115,000 and called off for his remaining 94,000 after Koo moved all-in.

Drawing to a flush, Platon filled up on the river 4♣ T♦ and earned the 112 BB pot whilst busting Koo in a painful elimination.

Facing a cutoff open from Richard Marquez, small blind Lester Edoc moved all-in with A♥ 3♠ and was called by Marquez with Q♥ Q♣ . The board T♠ T♣ K♦ 8♥ 6♣ ran safe for Marquez’ pocket queens, shipping him a full double up.

Cutoff Janno Alvarez opened to 6,000 and was met with a three bet to 16,000 from button Diana Tan. Alvarez clapped back with another raise to 31,000, called by Tan. Flop 4♥ J♣ 3♣ saw all the chips pile in, both players with an overpair.

Utg+1 Benjamin Mangaliman opened to 6,500 and called Jose Drilon’s three bet to 16,500. Flop came 5♣ 6♦ 4♦ , checked to Drilon, he bet all-in for 39,000 and followed with a muck from Mangaliman.

Magbutay Riener got his remaining 31,000 in with J♣ J♥ and faced Norbert Koh’s K♦ T♥ . Ahead preflop, Magbutay instantly fell behind after the flop 8♥ K♠ Q♥ 5♣ 2♣ landed Koh top pair to eventually seal the win.

Utg Lance De Vera opened to 5,000 and was met with a three bet to 15,000 from Sim Jae Kyung. Big blind Ligon Eduardo joined in along with De Vera with a complete. Three way, De Vera jammed all-in for 47,500 on flop 3♥ 9♣ 8♣ and merited no calls from either opponent to take the pot down.

With 16,500 in the middle on flop T♥ 5♦ 7♠ , action was seen on Liao Po Hsun who led for 5,000. Cutoff Lester Edoc raised it up to 15,000, called by Liao. Turn 5♥ went check check, leading to river T♣ . Liao bet 20,000 and ushered a fold from Edoc.

Following an utg limp, An Sangjin put in a raise to 6,500, called by a player behind. Big blind Renniel Galvez squeezed all-in for 36,500 total and saw only An put in the chips.

Turn 7♠ saw Mangaliman continue for 6,000 and shortly call Kola’s raise to 18,000. Kola bet all-in for 25,000 on river 6♦ and collected a quick call from Mangaliman. Kola shows T♠ 8♣ , crushed against his opponent’s J♦ T♦ flush.

Utg+1 Dilao Darwin opened to 2,500 and was met with a three bet to 6,600 from Marc Rivera. Dilao answered back with a four bet to 16,600, called by Rivera. Both players checked flop 5♠ K♠ 6♥ through and headed to turn 6♠ . Dilao led for 9,500, Rivera with a call to see river 4♣ . Dilao this time checked, allowing Rivera to bet all-in for 24,400 total. Dilao tank folded, saving his 16 BB behind.

With 15,000 in the middle on flop 8♥ 9♣ Q♣ , Liu Zhiqiang was spotted check calling off for his 40,000 stack after Pecho Rico bet all-in.

With 6,000 in the middle, action was seen on the turn 2♣ 5♦ 2♦ 7♣ where big blind Wallac Chan Wai check raised to 7,000. Opponent Tiew Kar Huat Alex jammed all-in and Wallac put his 19,200 stack in.

Hernan Jaybee Villa defended his big blind vs cutoff Liu Zhiqiang’s 300 open and saw flop 6♠ 5♠ 2♥ . Liu continued for 600, check called by Villa. Turn 6♥ saw Liu gun for another 1,600 and shortly complete after Villa bumped it up to 3,900. River J♦ completed the board. Villa led for 6,100, Liu with a final call.

Villa shows K♣ Q♥ high and Liu mucks behind. Liu mentions that he thought the river was a queen and accidentally mucked pocket nines.
