Main Event (16,500 NTD)

After the scheduled 12 rounds of play, the final entry flight of the PS Main Event completed with 90 entries in total and 41 advancing to Day 2. Navigating to the top of that list was Corine Shi with a stack of 162,500, and at her heels is Wu Yi Syuan with 162,000.

For players that missed the mark, you still have a chance at the NTD 15M pot by entering at Day 2 just before the starting buzzer.

With 1200 in the pot and K♥ 6♠ 9♣ laid out, Poh Zi Jie has K♣ 7♣ and bets 4000 with top pair. Hijack player makes the call then big blind Liu Zong Yu looks at A♣ K♦ and check-raises all in for 17,000. Action goes back to Jie who joins with an all in to successfully push out hijack.

At the runout 8♥ turn and 6♣ river, Jie's kicker dominates to give Liu the boot.

Another all in preflop with Med Tseng A♦ Q♦ ahead in chips and in kicker against short stacked Yue Hin Lam A♣ 7♣ . With the board running 9♣ 7♠ 4♥ 4♣ 7♦ , Lam lucks out with a boat to avoid elimination.

With the turn 6♠ Ocampo lands the flush and further seals his win on the river 4♠ .

With no hits on the board, Hsu's big slick prevails to double through.

Ngai Chung Ng three-bets 5500 sending the action back to Shung Er Sua who calls to bring the flop 5♥ 4♠ T♣ . Ng c-bets 8000 and just like that, wins the pot unchallenged.

With 9,900 in the pot, three players battle at the flop T♠ 4♠ 2♦ . Jeng Shun Cian takes first shot with a 3000 bet, only Lin Ping Yu calls then both check the turn 7♠ . On the river 3♣ , Jeng jams all in and takes down the pot easy with Yu folding.

With the turn 8♠ and river 3♣ , Syuan's higher two pair ships it to bounce out Sanroma.

Kow Ka Chun three-bets all in for 11,500 and open raiser Philip Wang calls to put him on the ropes. Kow has Q♥ 9♣ , Wang ahead K♠ J♠ , the flop comes K♣ J♥ 6♦ to further improve Wang. However, the board isn't complete. The turn T♠ gives Kow the straight and he prematurely celebrates as the river comes down J♦ for a full house to Wang. Kow laughs in disbelief as he packs up to leave.

Three players in a raised pot preflop battle on a flop A♦ 6♣ 5♥ . Joy Kim initiates with a 2000 bet onto a pot of 8000, one player bows out whil Kalki Chien check raises 5000. Kim calls and they see the turn 4♥ . No more checking for Chien, instead leads out 8000, Kim calls, the river is 9♣ . Once again Chien comes out firing for 20,000, Kim snap-calls. Chien's A♣ 8♥ top pair is behind Kim's A♥ 9♠ rivered two pair.

With the board running 3♣ J♣ K♠ 7♠ 9♦ , Gruendemann plunges to 8200 while Tseng soars to 51,100.

With no hits on the board, Lin's ladies stand firm to clean out a player.

Big blind Hon Shing Chong three-bets 4600 and initial raiser Jackson Chan makes the call. On the flop J♣ 8♣ 7♦ , Chong fires 3600 and Chan calls again. Not the case though on the turn A♠ with Chong's 10,000 met with a fold.

Luk Yiu Pan raises 1600, finds one caller, Ho Lin Tung then three-bets 6500, Pan four-bets 12,000, the action ends with no takers.

Though not needed, Liang's club wins it for a flush to boot out a player.

Two players limp in then have to decide on continuing for 3000 set by Kow Ka Chun's raise. Action is back to first limper Kalki Chien who re-raises to 12,000, this is enough for hijack to fold, and Chun calls.

At the flop K♠ 6♥ 4♦ , Chien c-bets 17,000, Chun calls and it's off to the turn Q♠ . Chien bets all in, Chun decides not to risk and folds.

With Day 1D in the bag, we pick up the Day 1E action at the end of Level 6. Players are currently on break with 59 entries so far. Blinds will speed up every 20 minutes for those that plan to sign up.

The Players Series Main Event Day 1E gets underway on December 20 at 8pm. Unlike the earlier flight, this one will see blinds increase at a faster 20 minute pace. Players can jump in anytime as registration is open all night and closing when Day 2 begins.

Keeping in line with affordability for all, the buy in has been set at NTD 16,500 (~US$ 510). A generous NTD 15,000,000 (~US$ 460K) guarantee is in tow. Players that enjoy a deep starting stack are advised to get to the felt early with 30,000 at your disposal. This is a very liberal 300 times the opening blinds. At the end of 12 levels, the remaining players will bag up and head on to Day 2.
