After 12 scheduled rounds, Day 1D is a wrap. A total of 214 signed up with 77 bagging up. At the top of the list is Edward Pan Ming Lee with 204,500 in chips.

Edward Pan Ming Lee makes it 3000 to go and two players (Zach Lee and big blind) toss it in. At the flop 2♥ 5♥ 7♦ , it is checked to Zach Lee who lays out 6500, only Edward Lee check-calls. Both players tap felt on the turn T♣ leading to the river 2♠ . Edward Lee taps again, Zach Lee slides out 15,000 then slides it back in after Edward Lee folds.

Catching the action with 16,500 in the pot on a turn board 9♦ J♦ Q♣ 7♣ , big blind Nick Lai bets 15,000 and small blind Kao Kuo Wei check-calls for the turn 2♣ . Checked to Lai again, he shoves, Kao tanks then folds to keep his remaining stack for another hand.

Yih Chia Shaw opens 3000, three callers contribute for a game at the flop 2♠ 2♥ 9♦ . Action is checked to button player Keolin Naidoo who tests the field for 3000. This brings two folds while Shaw makes the call. On the turn J♣ , same action again with Shaw check-calling Keolin's 5000 bet. Keolin opts to join Shaw in checking the river 4♦ . Shaw flips over K♣ J♦ two pair for the win.

At the runout 3♠ and 7♠ , Chang lands the flush for a double up.

With the board staying clean, Kao ships a double.

Chen Shen Huang with A♥ 6♥ raises 2500, is joined by two players to the flop 7♣ 6♣ 7♥, and again Chen c-bets 2500. From cutoff, Hyung Jin Lee calls, and big blind folds. On the turn 3♥ , Chen continues for 20,000, Lee risks everything behind amounting to 13,600 and flips over T♠ T♣ . With the river 4♦ , Lee's pocket pair holds for a full double up.

Huang Yu Wen looks down at the nuts and raises to 2400. Following a caller from cutoff, Yue Hin Lam has A♥ 9♠ and decides its good for a shove of 30,400. After Huang quickly calls and cutoff folds, Lam is in bad shape. With no help coming in board 4♦ J♥ Q♦ 2♥ 4♥ , Huang collects as Lam heads out.

The High Roller Knockout event closed registration at 57 entries to generate a prize pool of NTD 1,625,000 (~US$ 50,000). The top 9 will earn a piece with the eventual champion destined for a payout of NTD 343,000 (~US$ 10,550).

With the turn 6♠ and river T♦ , Yeh's second pair doesn't improve to meet the rail.

After it folds to the blinds, Zhang Pu Shao puts it all on the line with Q♣ T♣ and Armon Van Wijk calls holding A♠ 8♠ . With the board running 5♦ 5♥ 5♠ K♠ J♥ Van Wijk wins the pot and boots Zhang out of the field.

Three players call Kao Kuo Wei's 2500 raise to battle at the flop T♦ 8♣ 5♣ . Following two checks, cutoff Tzi Wei Hwang bets 4500, button calls, then utg Wei check-raises all in for 25,000. No one takes on the challenge.

Ke Yi Jhen takes the reins with a 2500 preflop raise that finds one caller in button Armon Van Wijk. On the flop Q♥ 4♥ 6♦ , Jhen lays out a c-bet of 3000 and still doesn't shake off Van Wijk who calls. The turn 3♦ sees a change with Jhen's 6000 bet raised to 17,000 by Van Wijk, Jhen calls it to see the river 2♥ . Jhen passes the betting to Van Wijk. No check back from Van Wijk, instead fires a bet of 18,500, Jhen tank-folds.

Action folds around to the button Wanyu Lo aka Vivian Lo who puts out a 2500 raise. Big blind Shung Er Sua aka Terry Sua defends to head to the flop K♥ K♣ 2♠ . Another 3000 sent by Lo is check-called by Sua. Both check the turn 5♣ but not the river 2♥ with Sua leading out 5500. Lo turns it down for Sua to claim the pot.

Yu leads with top pair and sees no change on the turn 5♦ but with the river 9♥ , Huang spikes the two-outer to avoid the rail and ship a sweet pot. On the other, Santos goes down and Yu plunges to just 6 bb.

Lee improves on the flop but quickly loses the advantage with a higher pair for Jiang on the turn that holds. Jiang ships it and sends Lee to the rails.

Jia Cheng Luo opens then calls a 9000 three-bet by hijack. No bets land until the turn board Q♣ T♣ Q♠ J♣ with Luo sliding out 7500 that's called. On the river K♣ , Luo shoves, hijack tanks then eventually risks it all (43,400) and shows T♥ T♠ full house. Luo flips over a stunning A♣ Q♥ straight flush to ship the huge pile.

With a pot of 25,000 in the middle and a turn board showing 8♦ Q♦ 5♥ J♦ , Eric Jiang K♦ 5♦ checks his flush, Pu Yen Fang with K♥ J♠ bets 7100, Jiang jams well covering Fang. After tanking, Fang risks everything and is already drawing dead. The river 4♥ is of no consequence.

Action folds around to the small blind Seiji Morimoto and decides to bump it up to 2500. Jia Chi Lee defends her big blind and calls. After the flop lands 8♠ J♠ 6♦ , it is checked to Lee who bets 1600, Morimoto calls. The turn 3♣ and river K♥ bring no more chips to the pot. Morimoto shows Q♣ T♦ , Lee wins with Q♠ 6♣ pair.

Kuang Hung Lee aka Luke Lee min-raises from cutoff and nearly gets through until the big blind Kao Kuo Wei defends. Lee c-bets 1800 on the flop 7♠ 2♠ Q♥ and still Kao sticks with him. The turn 4♦ sees more chips go in with Lee triple barreling 4200, Kao check-raising 12,000, and Lee making the call. On the river 9♣ , Kao tank-checks, Lee tank-shoves 23,000, Kao can afford it but opts to give up this fight.

Unraised pot with three players in, flop comes 5♥ T♥ 9♦ . Action is checked to hijack Keolin Naidoo who tests the waters with a 2500 bet. Only big blind Cheng Tolun calls. On the turn Q♥ , Naidoo's 4000 bet is enough to claim the pot.

Shung Er Sua aka Terry Sua looks down at 9♣ 9♥ and raises it 2500 from lojack. Several spots over small blind Gregory Leung has T♣ T♥ and drives it north to 6500. Sua answers with a shove of 35,000, Leung calls with 34,000.

At the showdown, Sua needs help and it quickly arrives on the flop 9♠ 7♠ 5♦ . With the turn 6♣ and river 4♥ , Leung falls on a bad beat while Sua rakes in the pot.

Folded around to the button Dave Lin, a 2000 raise is dropped in. Big blind Edward Lee won't let it through without a challenge and defends. Both players check to the turn A♠ Q♠ 3♣ T♥ . Lin bets 2000 again, Lee check-calls to get dealt 7♦ on the river. Checked to Lin once again, he bets 6000. Lee gives it up.

The other black suit comes on the river 4♣ to send Leung packing as Morimoto ships with two pair.

Yue Hin Lam opens then calls Nick Lai's 14,600 shove. At the flip, Lam is way ahead with 9♠ 9♣ way ahead of 2♠ 2♣ . However with the cards landing A♠ Q♣ J♠ J♦ A♥ , Lam is denied while Lai is saved by the split.

Liking hole cards 7♦ 9♣ , Corine Shi opens 1600 from hijack then calls button Ma Chun Yu's three-bet jam for 6900. Yu has A♦ 7♥ . With the flop running 9♥ 9♠ 3♣ it's a fast trips for Shi that holds through the runout J♣ Q♦ to collect and boot Yu.

With a pot of 12,100 built three players go to the hilt on a flop 3♣ 7♣ 4♦ . Utg with 6♣ 7♦ top pair is all in for 15,100, hijack with 8♥ 8♦ overpair follows suit for 37,100, and small blind Yun Fan Yang with A♣ Q♣ flush draw has them both covered with 39,400.

The turn 2♠ changes nothing however the river J♣ does with Yang completing the flush to deliver a double elimination.

With a 1100 raise by Zhang Pu Shao that's called, small blind Jackson Chan makes it 4000 to continue. Only Zhang calls to the flop Q♥ 2♥ J♦ . Chan c-bets 5500, Zhang snap-tosses to the muck.

Heavy preflop action opens with a 11000 raise, button Chia Shuo Chang looks down at A♥ K♥ and three-bets 3500, small blind calls, big blind Wei Lei Tsai peeks at A♠ Q♦ and drives the bet to 10,800, initial raiser folds, Chang five-bets all of it for a total of 38,900. This induces a fold from small blind while Tsai calls with a lesser 32,300 stack.

Tsai needs help but with the board running 3♥ 3♦ 5♦ 2♥ 8♣ , it's denied for Chang to ship a huge pots and send Tsai packing.

Jerry Chang opens then four-bets 27,000. Ng Ngai Chung finds it's worth the call and heads to the flop A♥ 3♣ 3♦ . Both check to the turn 6♣ . No more checking by Chang who shoves 19,700, Chung tank-folds to award Chang the pot.

With an ace on the turn, Kuo improves and goes on to ship a double up.

Chun Wai Chan kicks off the betting round with a 1000 raise, button Hoang Le Anh Tuan and big blind player join to the flop 5♠ 4♦ 2♣ . Chan continues 1500, Hoang tests with a 4000 raise, big blind folds, and Chan opts to do the same.

Hin Ng opens 800 only to get popped to 2500 by button Jeon Seung Ku. Small blind player calls and Ng joins for a three-way. At the flop 8♠ 2♣ 5♦ , Jeon is given the reins and uses it to send out 4000, only Ng calls and the dealer felts 4♦ on the turn. Again it is checked to Jeon and again a bet of 8000 is laid out. Ng replies with a check-raise all in for 20,300. Jeon decides not to continue.

Following a min-raise by Tang Ngong, Anson Choy sends it to 3000, Tang answers with a 12,000 four-bet, Choy pushes for 26,000 and rakes in the pot without a showdown.

Pham Tran Ngoc Hanh opens 900, small blind calls, big blind Rene Mar David three-bets 3000, sending the action back to Pham who makes it 11,000. Small blind gets out of the way while David flats to go to the flop J♣ 8♣ 3♦ . David checks, Pham continues the aggression and shoves, David tank-folds.

From cutoff, Tsai Sheng Ming raises 600 and is joined by the blinds to the flop 6♣ J♣ T♥ . Action is checked to Tsai who continues the aggression with a 900 bet. This earns one fold and one call from Tzi Wei Hwang. The A♣ turn slows them down to checking to get a free river 3♠ . Hwang tries to steal with a bet of 2300 but Tsai calls and wins the pot with Hwang mucking his hand.

Unrelenting from the start, Yu Chun Wang three bets 2500 and initial raiser Cheng Yun Ren calls. When the board runs K♣ J♠ 8♦ 4♣ 6♣ , Yu bets 1500, 7500, and gets called, then on the river shove of 18,500, Cheng folds and shows K♦ .

No help came for Kuo on the turn 7♥ and with the river 6♦ , Gruendemann scored a double up.

Three players in a raised pot to 2100 check a flop T♥ 7♠ 3♦ . On the turn J♦ , blinds check to Dave Lin who takes a stab at the pot for 800. Blinds call and they head to the river K♦ . With the pot now at 4500, Chih Pin Chang checks, Michael Lin bets 2400, only Dave Lin makes the call then mucks to the 5♦ 7♦ flush.

Tang Ngong three-bets 6500 and initial raiser Dexter Santos calls to go post flop T♥ 9♥ 4♦ . Tang fires 1300 and gets called again. On the turn 5♦ , Tang makes it 4600. This time Santos let's go of his hand.

Ray Chu is on a tear with two hefty scores driving his stack well past the rest. On his first hand, a pot of 7800 had already been built by the turn 4♠ 8♦ 6♦ J♣ . Zhang Pu Shao bet 5000, Chu check-raised to 17,000, Zhang called. On the river A♦ , Chu jumped out with a shove of 10,300, Zhang looked down at his A♠ 8♣ two pair and could not resist calling. Chu flipped over J♠ J♥ set for the double up.

Next hand. Chu three-bet from the button 2200, early limper Murly Manokharan called while cutoff raiser opted to fold. At the flop A♦ J♦ 9♣ , Manokharan check-called 3000. When the Q♥ landed on the turn, Manokharan shoved his last 12,000 and was given the bad news when caller Chu flipped over A♠ A♣ set well ahead of his Q♦ 6♦ . The river 8♣ failed to produce the flush to dust Manokharan early in the day.

After a limp by cutoff, button Zhang Pu Shao raises 800, small blind Zong Yu Liu re-raises 2000, cutoff folds, Zhang four-bets 8500, Liu surrenders. Zhang kindly shows K♦ K♣ .

Mark Gruendemann just sat down and immediately raised it up on his first hand. This found a caller from lojack then button player Tang Ngong made it a higher 1500 to continue. Gruendemann and lojack tossed it in and they go to the flop 7♥ 2♥ 2♦ .

More chips go in with Gruendemann leading out 2500, lojack steps off while Tang sends it up again to 7000. Gruendemann sticks around and calls for the turn 4♦ . This time both opt to tone down and check however on the river Q♠ , Gruendemann's check is met with a shove of 21,100. Gruendemann gives up his stake on the pot.

Four players in a raised pot of 1400, two checks are followed by hijack Tang Ngong's bet of 800 that's called only by button Masaaki Izushima. Dealer drops the turn 5♥ and again Tang fires out for 1300, Izushima makes it 4000, Tang answers with a three-bet shove that earns the pot without a showdown.

Just minutes in, Zong Yu Liu is dealt A♣ Q♣ and honors it with a bump to 300. Button player Tang Ngong likes his cards too and drives it higher to 1200. Liu flats to see the flop 5♥ 4♠ 4♣ . Liu check-calls another 1200 then both knock the turn A♦ for a free river 4♥ . Liu leads out 2500, Tang snaps it off then mucks to the top pair.

Day 1D has just kicked off! Registration is open all day so plenty of time for latecomers to grab a seat.

The inaugural Players Series Main Event Day 1D gets underway on December 20 at 12pm. And as always, the action takes place at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. This is the second to the last starting day scheduled with Day 1E following later tonight at 8pm.

Keeping in line with affordability for all, the buy in has been set at NTD 16,500 (~US$ 510) with a generous NTD 15,000,000 (~US$ 460K) guarantee in tow. Players that enjoy a deep starting stack are advised to get to the felt early with 30,000 at your disposal. This is a very liberal 300 times the opening blinds. At the end of 12 levels, the remaining players will bag up and head on to Day 2.

For Day 1D, blinds go up at the regular 40 minute pace. Day 1E runs a faster 20 minute pace. If you fall on those heats, you still have one final chance to join the action with registration open just before Day 2 begins.

Currently the event has drawn 368 entries across three flights with 99 players through to Day 2. Still holding top position is Day 1A leader Liao Bo Lin with 361,500 (241 bb). Day 1B leader Chen Po Jui slid into second position with 340,500 (227,000).
