That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

Zhaoyi Lin opened to 4,000 from early position and received calls from Siyoung Lee in the cutoff and Zhongyao Li in the small blind.

The flop came 7♣ Q♦ A♦ and all three players checked leading to the J♣ turn. Li checked, Lin bet 6,000, Lee called, Li raised to 17,000, Lin called and Lee called.

On the 4♥ turn Li bet 29,500 and both opponents called again. Li showed a Broadway straight with Lc T♦ to win the pot.

With two players seeing a board of J♠ 8♥ 7♠ A♠ and 18,200 in the middle Yuxin Cai checked from the big blind and Zhongyao Li bet 8,000 from under the gun. Cai called.

On the A♥ river Cai check-folded to a 17,000 bet from Li.

With two players seeing a board of 3♥ 2♦ 8♦ and 20,800 in the middle, Yifan Zhang checked from the small blind and Zhongyao Li bet 5,000 from early position. Zhang shoved with a covering stack and Li, who had 14,600 behind, called for his tournament life.

Zhang was ahead with an overpair but the 6♠ A♠ runout improved Li to a pair of aces to double up.
