That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

With two players seeing a board of 3♥ 5♥ 2♥ and 14,900 in the middle Chi Ngong Tang bet 7,000 from early position and Chi Ho Yeung called from the hijack.

On the 8♣ river Tang bet 22,000, Yeung raised to 55,000, Tang shoved for 119,200 and Yeung snap-called with a covering stack.

Yeung had top set but was behind Tang who had flopped a flush. The 7♠ river was clean for Tang who doubled up through Yeung.

Chi Ngong Tang opened to 2,000 from under the gun, a player in early position called, Xiotong Yu shoved for 28,000 from the button, Tang called with a covering stack and the early position player folded.

Chi Ngong Tang: 6♥ 6♣

Yu failed to connect with his overcards on the 5♥ 7♣ K♣ 4♣ 4♦ runout and was sent to the rail while Tang was good at showdown with two pair and took the pot.

Anton Zhen Zhao Lu opened to 2,000 from the hijack, Chi Ngong Tang three-bet to 6,000 from the button, Lu four-bet shoved for 27,400 and Tang folded.

A player in the hijack opened to 1,300 and picked up three callers including Zhen Zhao Anton Lu in the cutoff and Ngong Chi Tang in the small blind.

The flop came T♦ K♦ 9♦ and action checked around to Lu who bet 2,000. Only Tang called.

Lu continued for 4,000 when checked to on the K♥ turn and Tang called again.

On the J♥ river Tang check-folded to a 14,000 bet from Lu.

With two players seeing a board reading 5♥ T♦ 2♠ 6♠ A♣ and 13,600 in the middle, Chi Ngong Tang checked from the small blind and Weiwei Huang bet 7,000 from the cutoff. Tang went through two time banks before calling.

Huang could only show J♣ 4♣ for a bluff while Tang had second pair with K♠ T♠ to win the pot.
