That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

Chen Shen Chua shoved from under the gun for 25,000 and received calls from Chenxiang Miao in middle position and Xu Jing in the small blind.

The flop came 2♥ 3♦ 9♠ . Jing bet 30,000 and Miao called.

On the 4♥ turn Jing shoved and Miao, who was covered and had 92,000 left in his stack, opted to fold.

Jing had flopped a set to pull ahead of Chua’s kings and he remained ahead on the A♠ river to eliminate Chua to spots away from making the money.

With two players seeing a board of 7♥ Q♥ K♥ A♣ and 66,000 in the middle Chenxiang Miao shoved from early position with a covering stack and Yu Liu called from the cutoff with his remaining stack of f21,500.

Chenxiang Miao: A♦ 5♥

Liu was ahead with top pair against Miao’s flush draw. The A♣ 2♠ runout was clean for Liu and he doubled up.

With two players seeing a board of K♥ 6♥ A♦ and 29,000 in the middle Yuan Yao checked from the hijack and called an 11,000 bet from Chenxiang Miao on the button.

Yao check-called a 28,000 bet from Miao on the 2♠ turn. On the 5♠ river Yao checked, Miao shoved for 88,500 and Yao used two time banks before folding.

Chenxiang Miao opened to 4,500 from the cutoff, Anton Zhen Zhao Lu shoved for 52,100 from the small blind and Miao called with a covering stack.

Chenxiang Miao: A♥ 9♣

Lu made a straight on the J♠ K♣ T♦ K♠ 9♥ runout and doubled up through Miao.

With two players seeing a board of 6♣ 4♥ 4♣ and 22,400 in the middle Weizhou Zha bet 3,000 from the big blind and Chenxiang Miao shoved with a covering stack from the hijack. Zha called with his stack of 28,300 and was at risk.

Chenxiang Miao: 9♣ 7♣

Zha had the best made hand with ace-high but Miao was the equity favorite with two live uncercards and a flush draw. The 9♥ 8♦ runout gave Miao two pair to eliminate Zha and take the pot.

With two players seeing a board of J♣ 3♥ T♥ and 4,600 in the middle Johan Buchtrup Schultz was all in for 16,100 from under the gun and up against Chenxiang Miao who covered him from the hijack.

Chengxiang Miao: J♦ J♥

Miao was ahead with top set while Schultz had an open-ended straight draw. The 2♠ turn was a brick but the straight came in on the A♣ river allowing Schultz to double up.

With two players seeing a board of A♣ 3♠ 8♥ 4♠ and 5,100 in the middle Yunpeng Bai checked from the cutoff and Chenxiang Miao bet 2,800 from the button. Bai check-raised to 8,000 and Miao folded.
