That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

With two players seeing a board of 5♣ 8♣ A♣ Q♦ A♦ and 63,000 in the middle Xiangyu Yu bet 53,000 from under the gun and Po Lam Lun called from the hijack.

Lun showed two pair with K♣ Q♦ but Yu had a full house with A♠ Q♠ to win the pot.

Haoting Liu opened to 6,000 from the hijack and Po Lam Lun defended from the big blind.

The flop came 4♦ 6♣ 3♦ and Lun check-called a 6,000 bet from Liu.

Both players checked the 4♥ turn leading to the 9♠ river. Lun checked, Liu bet 12,000, Lun raised to 40,000 and Liu called.

Lun showed trips with A♦ 4♣ and Liu mucked.

A player in early position opened to 3,500, Po Lam Lun three-bet to 9,500 from the button, Jie Su four-bet to 21,600 from the big blind and the original raiser folded. Lun shoved with a covering stack and Su, who started the hand with 39,900, made the call.

Su was in great shape to double up with the higher pocket pair but the T♥ 4♠ 6♦ 7♦ 9♠ runout gave Lun a set of tens to double up.

In a preflop confrontation Johan Buchtrup Schultz was all in for 26,000 from middle position and up against Po Lam Lun who had a covering stack from early position.

Lun: A♣ T♠

Schultz had his opponent dominated and remained ahead on the 7♦ A♥ J♦ A♦ 2♥ runout to secure the double up.

Peng Chen opened to 2,500 from the hijack, Po Lam Lun three-bet to 6,500 from the button and Chen called.

The flop came 4♠ 4♣ 5♦ and Chen check-called a 4,000 bet from Lun.

Lun continued for 10,000 when checked to on the 8♦ turn and Chen moved all in for 19,600. Lun called with a covering stack to put Chen at risk.

Peng Chen: 6♥ 6♠

Po Lam Lun: A♠ A♣

Chen failed to catch one of his two outs on the K♥ river and was eliminated by Lun who continued adding chips to his stack.

With two players seeing a board of 2♣ 3♥ 2♥ and 31,700 in the middle Po Lam Lun bet 12,000 from the big blind and Qiang Xu called from early position.

Lun shoved on the Q♦ river and Xu, who had 37,500 and was covered, folded.
