That’s a wrap on Day 1C of the Poker Dream Juju 16 Main Event here at the Poker Dream Jeju 16 Main Event hosted at Jeju Shinhwa Landing Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea. The third of 11 starting flights attracted 130 entrants and by the end of the night just 20 players remained.

After nearly 14 levels Xu Jing emerged as the Day 1C chip leader, finishing the night with 460,000. Xu scored a flurry of knockouts late in the evening on his way towards bagging the largest stack. Xu is most closely followed by Hyunyeong Kang (381,000) while Xiangyu Yu rounds out the top three with 338,000.

Nine starting flights remain, with Day 1D currently underway and Day 1E starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a buy-in of KRW 2,400,000 (~1,700 USD). Later that evening, Day 1F takes place, featuring a buy-in of KRW 1,600,000 (~USD 1,100).

Chen Shen Chua shoved from under the gun for 25,000 and received calls from Chenxiang Miao in middle position and Xu Jing in the small blind.

The flop came 2♥ 3♦ 9♠ . Jing bet 30,000 and Miao called.

On the 4♥ turn Jing shoved and Miao, who was covered and had 92,000 left in his stack, opted to fold.

Jing had flopped a set to pull ahead of Chua’s kings and he remained ahead on the A♠ river to eliminate Chua to spots away from making the money.

In a preflop confrontation Yuan Yao was all in for 77,000 from the button and up against Xu Jing who covered him from the big blind.

Xu Jing: A♠ T♦

The 7♠ 2♠ 3♠ J♠ 7♣ runout gave Jing the nut-flush to eliminate Yao and take the pot.

With two players seeing a board of 7♥ T♦ A♥ and 68,000 in the middle Yuan Yao checked from early position and Called a 14,000 bet from Xu Jing who was in the hijack.

On the 4♣ turn Yao, who had 96,000 remaining, check-folded to a shove from Jing who had a covering stack.

A player in the cutoff opened to 6,000 and received calls from Hyunyeong Kang on the button and Xu Jing in the small blind.

The flop came J♦ 9♦ 7♠ and action checked around to Kang who bet 8,000. Only Jing called.

Kang continued for 23,000 when checked to on the 4♣ turn and Jing called again. On the 9♣ river Kang bet 33,000 and Jing called.

Jing had two pair with J♥ 8♥ and Kang had a better kicker with K♣ J♣ to win the pot.

Zhong Cai Peng opened to 4,000 from early position and eceived calls from a player in the hijack and Xu Jing in the big blind.

The flop came 8♣ 8♥ K♣ and action checked around to the hijack who bet 6,500. Jing called, Peng check-raised to 17,500, the hijack folded and Jing called again.

Jing check-called another bet from Peng on the 9♥ turn, this time for 16,500.

On the T♥ river Jing shoved with a covering stack and Peng, who had 53,400 behind, called.

Peng had flopped trips with A♦ 8♠ but Jing had rivered a full house with T♣ T♠ to send Peng to the rail and take the pot.

In a preflop confrontation Xu Jing was all in for 26,500 from the cutoff and up against Maxim Fana who had him covered from early position.

Jing’s pocket queens held up on the 2♥ 2♠ K♥ 2♦ 5♦ runout and he doubled up through Fang.

With two players seeing a boar of J♠ 3♦ K♦ J♣ and 7,700 in the middle Xu Jing shoved for 11,900 from the hijack and Zhongcai Peng c alled with a covering stack from the button.

Zhongcai Peng: 4♥ 4♣

Jing was ahead with top pair and after fading Peng’s two outs on the 6♣ river he doubled up.

Alessio Isaia opened to 400 from the hijack and received a call from a player on the button before xu Jing three-bet to 2,300 from the big blind. Only Isaia called.

The flop came K♠ Q♣ 2♦ and Isaia called a 2,300 continuation bet from Jing.

Jing check-called a 3,600 bet from Isaia on the T♣ turn. On the Q♥ river Jing checked, Isaia shoved for 13,000 and Jing used two time banks before calling with a covering stack.

Jing showed two pair with J♦ J♥ but Isaia had him beat with A♣ K♦ for a higher two pair to double up.
