China's Ruan Shengyang outlasted the 403 entry field of the Ultra Stack to clinch his first live title and a career high payout of ₩60,350,000 (~US$ 45,735).

Leading up to his victory, Shengyang knocked out four players in succession at the final table, 8th place to 5th place, to rack up two-thirds of the chips in play. With his commanding stack, Shengyang fnished off Zhu Jingxuan in 3rd place with 3♥ 3♦ winning the flip against A♣ 9♣ on a board 7♥ K♥ 2♠ T♥ 3♠ .

At heads up against Yuan Yilu, the overwhelming chip leader Shengyang was up 48 bb to Yuan's 11 bb. It didn't take long for Shengyang claim the win with K♣ Q♦ finding the river on board 6♥ 6♦ 2♥ T♦ K♦ to deny Yuan's A♦ 7♣ .

It was all left to the blinds. Nicholas Michael applied the pressure from the small blind putting Yilu Yuan all-in for his last 150,000 at the big blind. With the blinds increase and the short stack, Yilu Yuan knew this was it and put his tournament life at risk with K♦ 9♣ versus the dominating K♠ J♠ of Nicholas Michael. The board ran T♣ 4♣ 5♦ Q♥ A♥ giving Nicholas Michael a straight to send home Yilu Yuan at 11th place.

Yilu Yuan takes home an 11th place payout of KRW 4,080,000 (~USD 3,000), which can buy center court tickets for the French Open finals.

The first drop for Nicholas Michael was when his K♥ Q♦ went up against the 5♥ 5♦ of Yliu Yuan. Yilu Yuan won the coin-toss on a board of 8♦ T♦ 6♠ 6♦ 4♣.

From that bottom with only 5 big blinds left, the only way is up or out. For Nicholas Michael, it was up.

His A♥ 3♥ held up against the K♥ J♥ of Jin Zhou. No one hit anything on the board of 7♥ 5♣ 8♦ Q♦ 7♠, making the ace-high of Nicholas Michael the winner.

Li Pei is the new chip leader after the break with 1,140,000 chips, and is the only millionaire so far. Of the 48 ITM players who came back to play for the Day 2 Final, only 23 still remain standing. The chip leader at the start of the day was Pham Bao, but a few big hits has reduced his stack to just around 300,000. Such is poker. The chip lead may help a player get deep in the tournament, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee a championship. There's still much poker to play, and maybe Pham Bao will bounce back.
